"Just having a contract" is not the right thing if the contract is a shitty one, especially when you are making…
Actually, a good BDSM contract explicitly spells out a lot of details, terms and limits. I think their contract is brief for the purpose of the movie. The real BDSM contract is quite extensive.
Im 22 years old i suffer from the same thing the main lead had i lost hope and was so depressed with my life because…
I'm a BDSM'er, and yes, you can find someone who loves you for who you are despite your kinks. I'm a real life example! Glad the movie made that clear as well.
I finally threw up my arms in applaud. I was not too fond of 50 Shades; it didn't do the BDSM community justice. It was more abuse than BDSM. I'm captivated by Love and Leashes. I thought the movie "Secretary" (2002) was the best BDSM movie around, but "Love and Leashes" can rival it in sensuality, topped with comedy and light-heartedness. Being a BDSM'er myself, I would say this movie is the best introduction to that world as it can get. People are not walking around in the BDSM world that is psychologically messed up like Mr. Gray in 50 Shades, but rather a diversity of sensual experiences. Secretary was good...the original Mr. Grey, where 50 Shades stole the concept badly from. Love and Leashes is better with an informative introduction to BDSM for those unfamiliar with this world. It adds to one of the gems out there that genuinely explores what a BDSM relationship can look like in everyday life for us "normal" folks;o) not some psychologically messed up abusive weirdo in 50 Shades. People would be surprised to find the BDSM world comprised of nerds, geeks, and ordinary people than abusive gangsters like in the movie 365 days or a creepy millionaire like 50 Shades.
Yes, people can do BDSM play without sex! Sex is what Hollywood or porn sells, so it often combines BDSM with it. I like the fact that Love & Leashes makes this distinction correctly.
Watching this drama is like watching two people slowly fall in love with each other through a beautiful romantic dance. The amazing chemistry of the two main leads is incredible to watch. The drama captivated me and reminded me what life was like in my early twenties when I fell in love with a long time childhood friend, then the reality of practical life hit us, insecurities, family responsibilities, society's pressures and we eventually went our separate ways.. but twenty years later my friend and I still have incredibly fond memories of those beautiful innocent days where love was so simple and genuine without a care in the world. But ultimately it isn't an adult love with sacrifices and responsibilities but an infatuation romantic love where the world went away when we were together but we couldn't hold when the world threw itself upon us. As beautiful and captivating as the chemistry between the two main leads, I have to admit the story fell a little short because the characters had risked little of themselves in their romantic relationship and had no plans for their future together and the open-ending didn't satisfy me. I would have liked to see the FL happier and more secure after what she had been through.
It's an unexpected awesome ending that demanded a 2nd season... which is in the works now. Joseph Zeng definitely expanded his acting chops with this character.
I binged through the series in one weekend. What a crazy ride! I'm looking forward to seeing the 2nd season. Thumbs up on the story, production, script, and especially the actors.
The story of this drama and scriptwriting is beyond bad! I watched for Joseph Zeng's airtime (what can I say, I'm shallow and has a weakness for his big eyes). I fast-forwarded through most of it. The very last 10 episodes are a little better than the middle. My final judgement on this is that they shouldn't have spent so much money on such a badly written script and storyline. I felt sorry for the actors/actresses.
You forgot that if the husband dies and there is a son, then she must listen and follow the son. Not even with her son does she have any power in old age.
I’m getting a different feel. FL is ML’s father dead buddy’s daughter. The twist is FL’s birth family…
It's confirmed in Episode 30 that FL is Rong DingKun's eldest daughter from his earliest marriage. ML just found out that he slept with his elder sister.
More cdrama should be like this drama. Great story line, good acting, and relatable characters with depth. Good plot development of characters and romance. Great detective story, I couldn't guess the ending of the cases. Most importantly, no fillers!
Actually whatever he did its quite realistic for him...he has to stand for his family and sisters and stand for…
I would say risking her own life more than a few times to save his and still hanging around with him despite knowing his father harmed her family constitutes a sacrifice. It's painful to keep being reminded of the trauma of what her family goes through everytime she sees him and to have genuine feeling in that situation. The cognitive dissonance alone is uncomfortable. I would call that a sacrifice.
Who else here feels a little bit pissed off that the ML keeps wanting the FL lead's attention and wants her affection... but he has nothing to offer and won't leave everything for her? I'm feeling very pissed seeing her giving chance after chance, save him over and over again when he's hasn't done anything for her but followed her around like a puppy wanting to be fed with affections. Duh? ML obviously don't value her enough to leave his family for her? She made all kinds of big and small sacrifices for him. It's beyond annoyance now....I'm pissed with this story line.
I don’t agree that the male lead is dumb and naive like some are stating I never found him dumb in any episode…
He's not dumb, just a bit naive because he's fallen for her and a little blind. He knows he's fallen for her and is kind of blind... when he came back drunk and told her. He's a little boy that never received any love and attention. No one bothered to understand him and his father abandoned him after a massive childhood trauma. When she came and became everything his family was not to him... he couldn't help it becoming her puppy! No matter how intelligent a man is, his heart is always blind if he has a weak spot.
The way that the story line is developing. I will put my bets on the FL being the eldest daughter of the ML's father from the family he disowned and killed to erase his poor origin. That would make the FL the ML's older half-sister. Now that's a twisted story line. Just hope they haven't slept with each other when they find this out.
Is the ML character slightly autistic? He has very strange in behaviours in their courtship. A very high IQ usually comes with some other problems socially. It's hard to relate to the average person if your IQ is so high, you just don't think on the same level and have the same concerns in daily life. A lot of them are somewhat eccentric for that reason.
Loving someone wether that person is a man or a woman is just denying that person his/her own sex and gender identity.…
She's definitely not an unknown person to him when he fell in love with her other than her gender, her personality shines through the gender label, whether she is a man or woman. I find the whole gender politics annoying and pretty stupid! People are their unique personalities before the gender labels or association to a particular group. He doesn't love her because she is a man or woman or membership of a particular group (whether she was a royal or a maid, man or woman), the ML loves her because she's simply... the unique spirit and personality that he/she is. I definitely don't love or hate someone one because they're a man or woman but if they were an idiot and asshole or a decent person with good traits and kind humanistic values. The King was definitely the later!
I'm on episode 18 and liking the fact that the ML doesn't care who the FL lead is, whether a man or woman, he loves her just the same, no matter if she is really a man or woman. I don't know if that makes him bi-sexual but it seemed that label isn't appropriate for him in this drama. That's like in the Chinese drama "Rattan": The ML loves the FL even if she is an old woman (his great great grandmonther) or reincarnated to be a little child or a tree. Too much idealism? Does such a love ever exsist or just in fiction?
Yes, people can do BDSM play without sex! Sex is what Hollywood or porn sells, so it often combines BDSM with it. I like the fact that Love & Leashes makes this distinction correctly.
Jiwoo is one hell of a soft dom!
