Totally agree. I think it was purposely over exaggerated, especially episode 2 with a whole gang being beat up by 1 guy. It felt like a kversion of Crows Zero haha I took the drama as more of a fantasy.

I find the message well conveyed about the right to learn, the stressful position teachers are in and the lack of accountability of the ministry of education to protect education. This is a worldwide problem.

I just finished episode 10 and it was devastating 😭

Currently Watching episode 4 and I get that Tatsuki made mistakes following maybe bad advice or one that did not fit his son’s needs but doesn’t excuse his ex’s harshness towards him.
The more technology advances the easier it has become to isolate ourselves and that’s really bad on children and we are yet to be equipped to deal with the changes so parents will make mistakes. It doesn’t make them evil

It’s fine goes exactly as predicted with nothing new to offer, but I enjoyed watching the actors.

Enjoyable watch, great acting, but lacking in character development and overall character dimensions. The characters fit the stereotype, and didn’t feel like real people. The different cases were interesting but most of the time, the way they are resolved isn’t logical.

My favourite was the shoe maker case. My least favourite was his dad’s case.

This was an unexpectedly thrilling watch.

Were there flaws? Oh yes!
Were there wasted potentials? Endless
Did I like the ending? Not a big fan.
Do I regret watching it? Absolutely NOT!

This drama had some gems hardly found elsewhere. The world building was great. My favourite part was the illusion arc. It’s when we got to learn most about the world and characters beyond the main ones. If it had continued this way with all the other arcs it would’ve been great and probably in need of more episodes.

However I didn’t like the pacing after the illusion arc. Many character growths were skimmed through or even skipped for the sake of focusing on 2 main, overly romanticized characters on a repetitive basis.

Though I LOVE the soundtrack here, it just kept going on and on one song after the next with endless flashbacks seen from many perspectives. Sometimes quiet says more than background music.

I have to talk about the fashion design here. It’s beautiful but in fight scenes? Too flowy and impractical! But I think that was part of the choreography style because ALL fights were like that.

Hard for me to say. I usually like weird stories but this one didn’t do it for me. I can’t discredit it because part of it is me not understanding the concepts explored here, but also the tone was too serious making it not enjoyable for me

I get it to a certain point but I think before loving comes understanding, and even though she went through his whole life she didn’t seem to understand him.

Yuan Wu Huo really did a number on the little fox blaming him for not saving his brother when the fox had run out of power. The abuse caused the little fox to feel guilt over something he had no control over, which then caused him to swallow the dragon scale then the rest is history. Why should he be the one to bear the cost? He shouldn’t but that’s not how he feels. Something is bigger at play and Jiu Ying surrounded him so he had no one to communicate to find a different solution.

In any case I haven’t finished the drama yet I might change my opinion later

Now that you mention it, she was technically created for that sole purpose to derail him so I guess it makes sense even if it’s not to my taste

living isn’t everything. She went against his plans and stole his life purpose while also perishing. She left him alive with no loved one and no purpose. Living has been a pain for him for so long and he suffered so long. He also feels guilty enjoying life and doesn’t think about her when he’s constantly sacrificing himself for her. They are in a dilemma where each wants to give their life to the other and neither wants to live without the other. BUT I’m not romantic and only care about killing the big bad, not letting everyone’s sacrifice for nothing 😅

26 episodes in… so if Ji Ling’s original was followed through (and you can say in a certain timeline it did) I think it’s genuis.

That being said, I find Lu Wu Yi is not grounded in her priorities like the other characters and Ji Ling is constantly sacrificing himself because he never felt worthy of life. LWY has been annoying me for the last couple of episodes.

LWY is born from parts of the other 9 tailef foxes and considers herself a monster, but WSG is born from different parts of the dragons and is considered the 10th brother. Also Jiu Ying has a part of it in both characters but when is LWY the only one that will die when Jiu Ying dies?

24 episodes in and I just thought of something. There are a lot of similarities between Lu WuYi and Wu ShiGuang yet get totally different reactions and expected results to their being

I think both couples are interesting but have totally different dynamics. Wu ShiGuang and Wu Wang Yan are all about finding the source of their problems and finding out the truth. They are learning to face the uncomfortable truths but they never hide from it.

Ji Ling and Lu Wu Yi are more “us against the world” and rather live in temporary bliss and avoid thinking of the future.

I can see how youths can find the latter more to their taste while older people would identify with the former

I enjoyed their growth in the illusion ark. It’s not often characters keep the tension going stronger the closer they get.

Generally it’s what this drama gets right all the leads with their complicated pasts
