I’m kinda indifferent if they go back together or not (mostly rather not) but I’m enjoying the ride
I think he felt like “he understood her better” just like she felt she got Mitsuru. It’s arrogance. It’s not the other party’s fault that their spouses aren’t being honest/transparent with them.
I think the part of her that annoyed me the most is the arrogance of “understanding mitsuru best” as if that is something that puts her above everyone else including his wife. But I don’t find her despicable because it’s human to be like that. It’s still wrong but seems like neither her nor Mitsuru have strong moral compasses compared to their spouses.
Sakiko and Itsuku have strong moral compasses because they were easy to make them feel bad for their relationship when the context was completely different. They got to know each other when their spouses left them in mysterious circumstances. They weren’t cheating and weren’t keeping secrets.
About the diary though, WTF is that guy taking the liberty to read it and give it back whenever he feels like it!
Also in SK/Japan it’s not about learning it’s mostly about getting into a name university. Once you’re in, you don’t even need to attend.
I don’t know why he left, but nothing excuses his actions. That being said, I don’t think he was having an affair so I’m curious what the secret is. My theory is it has something to do with their childhood, since they were both orphans
I love the cast, especially some of them I haven’t watched in years.
