lol Hwang Jeong Min ahjussi is amazing. His character was pure fun here. And man Yoo Ah In really knows how to make himself hated if wants to. Nothing thought provoking about this movie, typical rich and powerful vs the police, but still a fun watch. It can be brutal at times. Police camaraderie was heartwarming and the ending was wild and good.
I love Ibuki and I want him to be happy but if Ren and Oto don't end up together, after their declaration of love…
It's my favourite as well. I had to wait so long for the subs when I watched it back then. Sakamoto is a genius as writing quotes and conversations. It's really rare that I'd be able to sit through a simple conversation between 2 characters in a drama. Soredemo being a drama I did try to avoid it initially but once I started it I just couldn't let go. Despite the heavy subject it was addictive. I did have some issues with the overall story of ItsuKoi but the dialogs there were gold and elevated the story from what it could've become ;)

lol yea I'm with you about Konatsu & Haruta. Konatsu was being too childish and I really hated Haruta for the way he showed his love for her by embarrassing Kiho the way he did, in front of everyone. I mean I know they were putting on a show and it could get on people's nerves and putting out people's secrets like that is unforgivable. But as you said their last scene ties everything together and I ended up loving them as a couple.
This was enjoyable overall. The more of Okada Junichi the better ;) Matsuzaka Junichi was a great addition to the cast. I just wish Fukushi Sota showed a bit more life in his role. He falls flat in front of such a lively cast. I wish I had seen more of Kuriyama Chiaki and Tanaka Kei, but there was too much "war" going on. Well it IS called "Library Wars".
I think it's my issue but I just can't take this story or (almost) any dialogs said seriously. Something about it feels childish. Specially Osamu Mukai's role. I enjoy the acting overall. The one I enjoyed the most was Odagiri Joe! He's one hot villain here XD but really his lines are also the most interesting. What ruined it is his "followers" their lines and acting suck. It happens a lot when they bring in unknown foreigners to play those types of characters :P
I only have one complaint about the cast, and that is Fukiishi Kazue. I mean she's supposed to be Ichigo's childhood friend and love interest, but she feels like neither, and her scenes with him are completely awkward. I've seen Osamu Mukai in a number of roles, I like him overall but the one thing I love most about him is he tend to have chemistry with his costars making all his interactions with them more meaningful. I don't know there was none of that.
I enjoyed that movie more that I expected it. The cast did great. Well except for the big bad. He was a complete waste of screen time for me :P Again Matsuzaka Tori had a role in this movie and he did GREAT. Okay he doesn't beat Ikematsu Sosuke but he's getting there. I loved his scenes with Hasegawa Hiroki. Talking about Hasegawa Hiroki, his role here is very weird here, well in the whole franchise, looking more like those old cartoon villains. I still don't know on which side he is, but despite all I like him :P but I don't take his character seriously.
Some times we cut from one scene to another and I have no idea how this happens! I think we were missing some transitional scenes.
We finally got SOME answers to our mysteries. I still don't get the overall point of it. I don't get what the villains are aiming at. Still enjoyable and great action scenes.
First of all I love the directing, and the way they decided to tell the story. The soundtrack and music used was perfect to to portray the mindset of the prince and king. Despite being another central character in a historical setting, and also playing the role of a prince, Yoo Ah In's portrayal of the crown prince here is drastically different. He used the same amount of intensity but differently. Anyways loved it!
I love Ibuki and I want him to be happy but if Ren and Oto don't end up together, after their declaration of love…
I felt the same when she spoke about wanting to tell someone about how the sky was beautiful. I thought "Ren is the only person she can tell that to". As characters I prefer the 2nd leads here more than the leads, I mean both Ibuki and Kiho, but as a couple it just has to be Sugihara and Ren!
Despite its flaws in storytelling, it was much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. The dialogs are great and the characters grow on you to the point you empathize and connect with them and their hardships despite their imperfection. Also I would like to announce that it gives us a closed ending :D
Haruta and Konatsu as a couple were my favourite. Funny thing is they're the most imperfect of the bunch. Their flaws glaring, but they grow out of it. Needless to say I look forward to seeing more of both Morikawa Aoi and specially Sakaguchi Kentaro since it's my first time seeing him.
Actually the whole cast is great, Not only Kora Kengo, Nishijima Takahiro, Takahata Mitsuki, Arimura Kasumi, but we also got growth out of a side character played by Takahashi Issei. I think it can't be helped that guy always steals the spotlight no matter how small his role is. And here his role couldn't be any different and he was just as great as usual.
What I found illogical in the story is some of the character's actions. I know it was done to get to a certain point and growth of character but it still felt illogical. And many time skips throughout the drama, all felt unnecessary to be honest. There was also Ren's colleagues boss in the moving company, it was never explained why they suddenly became nice to him. However the great dialogs makes you forget any flaws you see in the drama :P
I guess I have a masochist side because I always love jerk male lead in romance drama, the push and pull relation…
I'm with you on that, it spices the romance and makes it more fun, cuz let's fate it, it's what makes things interesting otherwise it'd be boring, so I don't mind.
As long as he doesn't cross the line. Some actions I just find unbearable to do even if done to a friend or an acquaintance, like say he kicks her out of his car! I really hate that trope I feel it's as if he's treating the girl (or who ever he's kicking out) like trash and I can't forgive that. What pisses me off most of the time is that the girl always acts like it's nothing.
This drama was pretty cheesy, but sweet. The events, like the first family meeting and whatnot, and how wrong they went is pretty excessive. The usual tropes about the Mother-in-Law is also used. However what I enjoyed most is how the two families are portrayed, their differences and similarities, the way the parents treated each other and their children, it felt authentic to how families in Japan truly are.
I think I would've rated higher, but episode 9 kinda ruined my mood. That was one fight where I thought if something like that bothers them to the point of wanting to break up, they really shouldn't get married. I also didn't like the way they got back to each other. The whole episode was unrealistic.
The last episode though.. ♥ ♥ full of heart. It was emotionally strong.
So overall quite a nice watch. The last episode felt rushed though, I would've given it another 2 episodes to see the development of the family. Actually I would've made the events happening from episode 1 to 8 happen in 4-5 episodes and have all the rest about the family finding itself and growing.
As mentioned before, the best part of the drama is the family. It dissects the typical Japanese household and expose everything that is wrong with it, from fakeness to neglect, to living in a lie. It has a bit of Kazokugari (Family Hunt) and Yakou Kanransha (Ferris Wheel at Night). The tutor's backstory did not reinvent anything really, and his actions were too much of an overkill for my taste.
The acting of all the members of the family is flawless. I really enjoy Kamiki's character the most. He had a nice chemistry with both Sakurai Sho and Kutsuna Shiori. My favourite is when he's frustrated lol
Really enjoyed it, though it depressed me because I could understand what Shizuru was going through. You can have your home town in your heart, but it can still get claustrophobic at times.
I really enjoyed that movie. It was a nice change of pace. Such a huge cast but the most outstanding for me is, as always, Mitsushima Hikari! Toda Erika was well cast for the role as well, and Mr. nice guy Oizumi Yo.
I enjoyed the setting, and the theme here, women finding refuge, and getting their lives back, hence empowering them, in an era and setting that was against women. Some of them went through so much pain!
Can someone tell me if this show is any good? I like the cast, but not sure about the story. Thanks in advance…
Hmm it's alright, but nothing outstanding. I don't know why I feel the obligation to watch all of Nagase Tomoya's dramas, and it doesn't take much time to watch, however if your list is full, then you cold let it go.

lol I hated In Ha's character but I loved how she was performed.
