Interesting subject! I have a long list of dropped dramas, but back in 2014, I decided not to drop anymore and finish the drama no matter what. Then My Secret Hotel happened. I finished it but cursed myself for doing so. I hated it way too much. I gave up that rule I put on myself then :P

The one trope I cannot stand is: Noble Idiocy!! It's my most hated more selfish act a dumb character can do to feel good about themselves!!

You mentioned a couple of good ones, like Plots that make no sense, Ridiculously cruel, spoiled or irritating male/female leads. Depending on the situation, I find such female leads irritate me even more. Not that I'm very forgiving of such male leads, but it all depends on the situation.

Some tropes that may not make me drop but rate down the drama is OUT OF NOWHERE birth secret. I don't mind Birth Secrets per se, but when it's there just to add more makjang so just show thought they are so smart than it actually is. Also when characters suddenly treat that sibling with the birth secret as a stranger. Again it goes back to the non-sensical plot. Same goes for terminal illness.

I can take violence to a certain degree but what I abhor most is when it gets glossed over! I just can't stand it!

Most of the time I know myself and just don't start dramas I can't stand. It happens once in a while. If I don't look forward to watching it, I drop. If there is a story line I'm curious about, I skip watch. I have no problem skipping scenes :P

I became more excited to watch this when you said that it's more character-driven than story-driven. I find stories…
Having a good plot isn't a bad thing, but at least once in a while we need those types of dramas. It isn't about what's going to happen next, but about meeting people going about their life. As I said in other comments, I find it self-reflective. In a way, very refreshing. And the dialogs are so carefully written. Simple yet effective.

Comments like that always makes me want to write more, so happy you enjoyed it :D

I guess this drama brings to us the same feeling ;) It is exactly as you say, each episode makes me reflect on myself and where I am in life.

Yup exactly, I think we all go through this many times in our life, so the characters really connects with us on many fronts. A lot of the dialog, as simple as it seems, hits me hard as well ;)

Honestly I wish the episodes were longer :P

He isn't the lead in nodame but does a great job at standing out. There are actually a lot of fun and interesting characters in the dorama itself, including our main leads ;)

Oh true that! I loved Voice, and mainly because of his character, and the way he investigates each case.

Awe great! He definitely is someone worth doing a stalker guide for! Your love is so justified. He's also one of my top 5 favourite actors of all time! He's, simply put, awesome. Like you said, he lives the role, doesn't act it. He started off slowly, but managed to shine brightly.

I first saw him in Sunao ni Narenakute. Although I didn't like the drama itself, his character was naturally cool and refreshing to watch. I had a big crush on him there, but totally fell in love with him (& Hikari) in Soredemo Ikite Yuku. The whole drama was phenomenal and the chemistry between the lead was one of the most memorable. They transported that carried that chemistry over to Wakamono Tachi, even though they were playing siblings.

Agree with all the movies you recommended because generally all are good movies, but as you have emphasized Foreign Duck was one of his most memorable movies. There are some of his other movies that I wish I could watch but don't have any subtitles available :(

Of the titles you mentioned I've yet to watch Last Friends, Waterboys & Itsumo Futari de.

I would just like to add, his role in Nodame was also memorable. He was a bit crazy and weird, really funny and cute.

Again thanks for the Stalker guide I just couldn't contain my excitement XD
