I really like this version. I also think the second male lead should have actually been given the male lead; I really feel there is more chemistry between him and the lead female. Of course I will forever be biased in favour of that gorgeous man Song Seung Heon. I do think though that this version is a bit slow and rather a lot more melancholic.
Hmm...I don't know...the plot sounds too similar to 'Samee Tee Tra' which I'm watching now with Pope as the main male lead. Probably try it since I really like Pope. :-)
I am on episode 9 and was curious, do these couples get back with the people that they had relationships with…
LOL...thank you for this, you have saved me a lot of time. I won't be watching no matter if it probably has the right ending. Just don't like Jerry in any fashion or form.
Thank you so much for this article. I first saw him in Yaksha and loved him since then! l think he is gorgeous and sexy! I also particularly liked him in 'Inspiring Generation', 'Bad Guys' and I'll Give You The Stars and The Moon'. I Hope he continues to get good roles especially the ones where he's so bad ass!! LOL

I am so glad you asked that question because I too love Ron Ng, and I just finished watching 'Return of Happiness' so I wanted to know if there would be a happy ending for him in this, even if it was not with the main female lead. This would be torture for me if he did not because I really don't like Yan Jerry! I really really don't like him, so imagine he gets the girl and my love does not after 42 episodes I would be sooo mad, at wasting my time. :-D
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Ji Sung was brilliant in portraying the various personalities making each one distinct and loveable, including Shin Se Gi. I fervantly hope Ji Sung wins awards for his roles in this drama, as he is a fantastic actor; few people could have pulled off that level of quality acting. Really great drama.

I have not watched this drama yet but your argument is well stated and I support it. I take the same approach. Where I differ is in my view if people want to let off steam about the drama with negative comments, or praise it to heaven that's ok because I will watch and judge for myself anyway.
I love Weir and I think Mai is gorgeous but I did not feel much chemistry between them. The lakorn itself is a mess, and it is a shame because I thought it had so much potential. The family Vichawayt was too naive and stupid beyond belief. The original sin on Mr Vichawayt seems to have been dismissed by his family as an unfortunate minor incident, and I was quite appalled that not one of them thought to apologize to Krao. Instead they kept bemoaning about his cruelty to them...that to me was preposterous! The ending was very rushed and lacked structure. Overall I was disappointed. I rated this 6 and that was being generous because of Weir.
I've just started watching this because I love Weir, but I'm struggling because of Pinky's poor acting. I'll hang in there by putting this on hold and going to watch Roy Lae Sanae Luang for a bit.
middle of Ep. 15 and I have to STOP !!! .... it has a MAJOR FLAW !!! Pin Anong is one of the WORST Characters…
I couldn't agree with you more; I found the writing and characters ridiculous. What was also disturbing was the complete disregard for the value of human life on the part of a number of the characters. Plotting to kill someone to solve a problem seemed to be the trend and it was far too easy for several people. Pin, Pin's Mother, Na, Nee, On and Noi were annoying in the extreme, which is sad because these are the major players.
Another problem for me was that there were several people that committed 'attempted murder' or 'conspired to murder' but they were not made to account for their crimes. In fact, they went free to live their lives...ie. Jom, Na, On.
The slapstick comedy elements and caricature like characters makes me think this may have been intended to be a parody of a murder/mystery. How else can one explain the major flaws in this drama. If this is indeed the case then I can forgive many of the illogical decisions and actions that occurred.
Overall it was an ok, though annoying drama. I loved Weir's character, Brot and Prawn.
Great, short, beautiful romance embedded in realism. I really liked this drama; it's very focused and the characters are complex. In seven short episodes this drama is able to portray well developed characters and tell a decent story. If you like dramas that focus on people and relationships then this is very watchable and enjoyable, otherwise skip it because there is no action, comedy or mystery to solve.
Is it just me, or the male lead looks like Takeru Satoh?! The hair, the lips, the acting (or maybe not), the dancing…
No it isn't just you. That is who I thought it was when I first started watching this; he looks like a ringer for Sato to me but for the size. I think Sato is a bit smaller.
I started watching this because I read it's based off of Sawan Biang, but really there are only a few small similarities…
I had basically the same reaction to this drama that you did. I found it was different from Sawan Biang but I didn't mind it, and I actually liked that they were different. I loved the male lead and his character so I was happy and had no issues with this.
Really good drama and I enjoyed most of it up towards the last couple of episodes then something changed. However, I liked the strong, independent female characters who held their own; the characters had depth, the acting was tops, and the chemistry between the two main protagonists was HOT! XD Wallace alone is worth watching this drama for his smexy, broodiness LOL! But seriously this drama was well done. I ended up rating it an 8 based on the first 3/4 of the drama.
Really good article, thank you. I've only seen him in Rising Sun I and II, and I thought he was really good in both. I definitely want to see his other works especially 'The Love of Siam' and 'Pee Mak'. With this guide I can now track his other works, thanks.
LOL...I knew this was not for me when a few minutes in ep 1, the chick started with the basketball tricks in high platform shoes...:-D I do believe in suspension of disbelief but it can't be too ridiculous in a normal setting...:-& Another one bites the dust!
Thank you for the article. I love this woman! I first saw her in Princess Man, and thought she 'Aced' it with her brilliant role, and great chemistry she had with Park Shi Hoo. I've seen her in most of what's listed here, and agree that she is an amazing actress and very beautiful to boot. MCW is one of my favorite actresses in K-Drama Land.
Another problem for me was that there were several people that committed 'attempted murder' or 'conspired to murder' but they were not made to account for their crimes. In fact, they went free to live their lives...ie. Jom, Na, On.
