Really good actor as well as very good looking, and very charismatic on screen. Wishing him well for the future. Very promising actor, I've watched him from Whirlwind Girl onwards.

I'm not even partway and I'm finding I'm having the same reaction as many have expressed so far. The ML is a terrible actress and her character is very annoying and so is her 'baby voice'. I can't believe the level of her 'silliness' (the nicest word to describe her dumbness), and her gestures and expressions are so caricatured that you'd think you are watching slapstick comedy. She keeps messing up big time and never learns from her fluff ups. Having said that, I'm watching this for Chen Zhe Yuan whose saving this drama for me, and I also love his character in this Yu Ying Qi.

I've just started this drama, I'm at episode 11 and starting to struggle. I watched Handsome Syblings and for me there is no comparison, it is far better. In this drama I was excited because the main characters seemed smart but for two, and the storyline seemed interesting. But as it went along, the charcters seemed to be getting stupid, decisions more unwise and far too obvious in their actions and activities, so overall it is becoming a drag and unexciting. I hope it gets better, because I had high hopes.

Interesting because I'm a vet at Chinese dramas and many of the FLs are not stupid, silly or timid. Many are dominant and or smart, clever and fearless.
Its worth pushing past the first 6 or so episodes, improves greatly after that and well worth a watch!
I really hope so because I've just started and I'm struggling at episode 3, I'm only staying with it because a lot of people gave it high marks. Waiting for that miraculous turn of events for me.
Saw him in Twin Dragons. A really good actor who should be getting main roles. He needs better agents. He has talent and also good looking and tall. Why is he still taking support roles?
I've just started watching this drama and now at episode 12. I love Allen Ren in this character he plays it superbly, but I'm not so fond of Seven Tan in this role, nor her character Yuan Jin. I have major issues with Tan's acting ability; at times she overacts, and I'm not talking about the parts where she is obviously faking, and quite often I'm not convinced about the emotions she is trying to portray or even her character. The character of Yuan Jin is another thing, it's too inconsistent for me, as she constantly vacillates between brilliance and stupidity, bravery and timidity, sharp and clueless, so I wasn't very taken with her. I was, however, very much captivated by Allen Ren as Yu Li. I do agree that the two leads have very good chemistry. The drama has been okay so far so I'll continue to watch and see how it goes, but I'm beginning to see a pattern in the various cases, and so I'm hoping this does not become stale.

I'm relieved to see that I am not the only one struggling with this drama. I am in the early episodes and finding it slow, not liking the character of Ling Xi very much, not seeing much chemistry between the main leads soooo....trying to hang in there to see what everyone is so taken with. I really really hope it picks up and the character of Ling Xi becomes less annoying. Her arrogance is not cute for me. I do like Jiu Chen, Dr. Qing Yao, Yun Feng and General Yuan Tong a lot, so I watch in hope.

Okay, so I just finished watching this drama about 3 hours ago, and tried to leave with a feeling of satisfaction. But I failed because here I am, back to vent my frustration and dissatisfaction for what, I think, should have been a better ending. Firstly romance and 'tragedy' don't work well for someone like me who watch romance dramas for entertainment and for the 'feel good' positive vibe. Secondly, to devote my time to watching 50 episodes where you bond with the main protagonists, watch their love and devotion for each other, and you are rooting for them to have a happy ending, despite the annoying love triangle, and then bam!...one half of the adoring couple is killed? How many times in this drama did he cheat death? And they kill him off in the very last episode? I felt cheated and really could not appreciate the poetry of the moment in that death scene! I saw a commentary that the writer was the same one who wrote 'Chronicles of Life' which has a tragic ending. Thanks but no thanks, I shall not be watching that drama even though I love Hawick Lau.. If you don't like sad, tragic endings for really great protagonists, then don't waste time on this.
I thought this was a brilliant drama but the ending for me was a dilemma. I understood the suicide given the nature of the character BUT I did not think it was the right way to end this drama. Given that the writer had resolved the problem of who did the murder, it would have made sense for her to have him atone for his crime by going to jail. Hye Ran found out and had reconciled with that fact so why have him commit suicide and have Hye Ran suffer the pain of loosing him to suicide/death? She already had too many men in her life who suffered because of her; at least if he went to jail he could regain his sense of self through atonement and hopefully Hye Ran would have waited for him. The ending for me was wasted.

protagonist very early in the drama 'walked into a dangerous situation', then was completely
oblivious to the fact that she needed to get the hell away from those crazy people! The old woman had to tell her run for her life while she was scrambling after her mother's 'gift'????That set the bad tone for me that here seemed to be another 'noble idiot' in the making, for which I have no patience. I'm glad other people enjoyed it though.
