I cannot compare with Western dramas. Don't laugh at me if I tell you that I've never ever watched one.

I saw that woman in her past fiercely pushing her to walk that evil path. I understand where she comes from...but. But I condemn her vile means to sasiate her appetite for success. However, something somewhre in her left brain should ring the bell telling her to stop. It is as if she has that basic evil mind. So, she'll still hit on the head of the fallen ones. There are people like that, the narcissistic ones. They have followers, the ones sitting on the fence. Real life is full of examples like them. You have certainly heard of the syndrom "Bystander Effect". This syndrom is more commun within the so called "civilized society" or a "Me Myself and I group". Another example is Duan. No need to have a review of his past. His actual behavior and actions say it all. Poor souls.

It is a contemporary story where people are more aware of this type of characters. On this point the script nails it. People see through ZhenZhen's. People around MiYu are not blind neither and they trust their instincts. Unexplained, untold, unverbalized scenes have proven it. Many women still nowdays go through this within the business world. As Xue Rui said "take it as a trial" meaning get on your horse and face it.

He is falling for her...his falling...falling hard for her...too late he has fallen for her.

Please don't compare her with cows. My step family are cow milk famers. I love their catle, they are gentle and recognize the people around them, they get on well with the cats and dogs, they are so untroubled (I mean the cows). They are very sensitive and predict the weather better than humans. The only pets a friend of mine ever had are Highland cattle. They are so magestic. He brushes their teeth, brushes their rough fur, they are so gentle and loyal. Their bebes have big ears and joyful faces. Their personality could be compared to horses. I love them.

So no no. ZhenZhenTheBitchWitch's character is not even at the level of the hooves of bovines. She is more of a snake. You are so gentle calling a "vixen".

Karma is waiting patiently for the one that deserve it.

Thanks for your "spoiler post". Cannot wait to see the next episode. And yes he is falling so hard for her. Actually from the 1st episode something hit him just there deep in his soul. But he couldn't name it.

Episode 18th I stopped at 9:12 to comment on the ZhenZhenTheBitchMistress. "After vomiting can't you watch out your dirty mouth before putting on lipstick ? This scene is a proof of your basic nature with an evilness soul. No redemption my dear...none. Hope baby will be sound and safe in an environment without you around."

The script of this character doesn't fit here because a pregnant woman is supposed to be in her Zen mood, forgetting things, very lazy in her motions, avoid lipsticks and other cosmetic products, avoid high heels, not bending forward with this big belly, not walking that fast with a so big belly.

This character is so fascinating that this actress was even casted in the actual airing story Rebirth.

I find the description of POJ interesting fron the media point of view. And it aligns with my previous thoughts on the new dynamic of the camera angles and shots which made the success of this Cdrama.

Introduction of the 9th episode Ji Feng said what I didn't dare write "so to avoid heaty comments" and this reality.

Ji Feng's supposed nomination was verbally insinuated to make sure that he finalised the hotel contract. Then he was tossed aside to give place to the new foreign manager. I found this situation quite discriminatory (and my wording is gentle so to avoid heaty comments). Not to mention the arrogance of that new manager as to steal all the credit. This was a swift arc on Ji Feng side, so the script jumps to his next arc without delay. This scene suited Wallace Chung whose characters in all Cdramas are similar such as forebearing, gentle, compassionate, patient, zen.

In regards to your last paragraph, I still wonder if it is not a lietmotiv in Cdramaland in order to dramatize stories such as families' sagas. I wonder how within so fast growing Chinese industries still allow such behavior. I wonder how with well educated society and powerfut businesswomen this misconduct still applyes. Don't blame, I surely put this country on a too high pedestal.

I enjoy watching a mature cast. Their boat is going to be unsteady for a while but fun I guess.

I enjoyed watching these 2 Cdramas. Amazing performance from the cast.

Looking forward to watch a new version of XK.

This article wordings in regards to seasons 3 and 4 "reported that the production team is aiming to begin filming by the end of this year or next year." meaning airing in 2028 ?

and all the garbage that family leaves behind. They wouldn't survive with me. It reminds me of related cousins of mine behaving almost like this. Without warning I threw them out of my house.

Just finished 2nd episode. "Garbage" lyes from all his 7 head orifices - eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth. I dare adding 2 more - anus and penis. Such a manipulator whom wife is an asset for his future promotion. Should he have agreed to his "Bitch's" abortion, censorship would not let this pass.

The table is well set in the 1st episode :
1. the cheater the "Garbage" - Mi Yu's husband Nie Yu Cheng.
2. the mistress the "Bitch" - Lu Zhen Zhen. No she doesn't look younger and is not more beautiful than Xu Mi Yu. She was surely the one by using the Garbage's cell, texting Mi Yu to bring her husband blue shirt.
3. conspiracy - next to be Xu Mi Yu's love of her life Ji Feng. Hard working hotel acting manager unfavored for higher position as the general manager. Will fight tooth and nail to earn what he deserves such as his status and his love.
4. the last but actually not the least - Xu Mi Yu the "idolater" of her husband and the "doormat" of her family. She is in the middle of a modern family saga. Could also be written as an historical harem fight. She went already through a sad childhood arc - brought up into another family that is financially and emotionally taking advantage of her (nothing new under Cdramaland's sun). Now a divorce arc. Hoping her last arc be a happy one with Ji Feng as her companion.

Hope all episodes that follow will be as this, direct, swift and clear.

So many requests it's impossible to view on time. This is a good sign.

I'm watching the airing Rebirth and I have no feelings neither for the music scores...nothing...nada. I didn't comment it. Even the two other fantasy Cdramas airing. I've discovered shortlength Cdramas lately. I found some pearls.
