Her wardrobe is the latest style in corporate dramas. You can see FLs wearing similar wardrobe in Startup and Dinnermate. I actually liked her wardrobe, probably its not your cup of tea.
This drama has one of the best OSTs in recent modern dramas. That was a plus point but the BGM is spot on almost all the time.
Agreed that YS's attitude towards JJ's capability is just plain horrible but he keeps on assisting her and by ep 5 he said something along the lines of "It's time to rediscover Jiang Jun" which means that he is accepting the kind of person she has actually become. Jiang Jun is also competent for a rookie so I don't find any faults with the characters. yet.
When And The Winner Is Love came out, I kind-a imagining what if Bai Lu is the FL. So, this pairing makes me happy so so much. Also, Leo being mischievous is <3

I have to agree on the dubbing. I watched AOL for the second time and actually get to understand why SGT don't impacted me as much as Runyu. It's because I can feel Runyu's pain through his voice for an example is his scream and angst during the scene when his mum died. I was like "ahh so this is what they said at MDL".
I loved the voice as Ye Hua because he is a sad and restrained character. But it doesn't do justice to Shangguan Tuo's flirtiness and frustration.
Just finished this and i would say this drama suffers from really bad writing and directing. The show and pace was great in the first 10 eps and final 10 eps. It kind a loss its soul somewhere in the middle and we never get to see the badass Shangguan Tou again after he transfers his inner power to Zhi in ep 12. It is disappointing because I saw BTS footages of him fighting as YCZ but it doesn't get into the final cut.
Also, the final 20 mins conflict went against SGT character in the beginning who supported Zhi in rebuiding Hall of Flames. It just came out of nowhere even without context. The final eps can actually be stretched another one or two eps like in AOL after the Heaven-Demon war AND shorten the ep 20-32 crisis.
I think there are many missed opportunity in making this drama great. Looking at their BTS discussion, I think there are few scenes that the actors suggestions was actually better than what came out i.e the ep 33 kiss, Yukee did say its awkward and it was.
The actors did a lot to keep the drama afloat and for me they barely save the ship from sinking.
They dragged the ep 20-32 conflict too much. When I watched ep 33, I was like "THIS IS WHAT I NEED FFS"
I was mad when Zhi said "I thought he didn't love me". GURL, he came running when he knew your Sect was being ambushed and came again with SILVER and LABOUR.

i watched bai lu in the legends and I think she can carry the badass CXZ but i cant imagine her doing ths full CXZ arc from a naive to badass. At this point I think the arc development kind-a slows down, so I hope it gets better. We have 20-ish eps to go

I think it really depends on the type of drama you prefer. I prefer romance and politics drama like this one so I find its interesting to see the political moves unravels like a chess game while keeping the love story at the center. If you prefer action packed drama, I am afraid you can't find it here.
Maybe you can go for other dramas like Handsome Siblings?
I wanted to skip Muyuan-Zhi scenes so bad because I am getting swayed right now. I'm going to give credit where it dues and Mu Yuan really pulled off the confession scene. Also, from her ways, it really seems like Zhi is trying to move on from Tou so that gives him hope.
I feel bad for Tou though because he is the one going for 2nd ML modus operandi of chasing the girl, which is sacrificing his feelings behind her knowledge. I mean, I understand why he did this (plus he may be a bit complacent about Muyuan-Zhi's relationship) but I am with Wu Ming for every word he says about their relationship.
They splitted at the dungeon so my guess is he stayed in the dungeon longer than Tuo. Thank god Tuo really took his time or the series ends today. Haha
