1. I really really applaud Shangguan Tuo and XueZhi for not letting the problem in their relationship gets in the way of their work. In other drama, what happened in ep 21 would be followed up with more dramatic scenes of self destructiveness.
2. I think he could have explained this earlier to her but knowing her view on relationship, the same effect is probably going to happen. This is just another arc Tuo and XueZhi needs to go through. That trusting your partner no matter what is crucial in a relationship.
I am actually quite shocked in a good way on the story telling and I am curious what will happen next. To be honest, their kind of relationship is the kind of relationship that I prefer in dramas. The kind that talk and discuss on their issues because that is actually what makes relationship work IRL.
This is a big challenge facing them so I am very excited to see how this will be sorted out.
So far I also have the impression Yuqi's acting in this is not on par with Yunxi's. He keeps eyeing her very heatedly…
I think dialogue wise, the flirtyness of tuo and zhi is almost levelled at some part esp it gets better in ep 19-20. She is improving character wise, so I think its part of her character to play that bashful FL. Also, she plays a sheltered 17 y.o. I was much much more bashful at that age. Yukee had a harder character arc to play but so far I think she is doing well.
Are there Chinese speakers who watched 17/18? I watched it with no subs, since I don't speak Chinese. Please explain…
TLDR; second dad explains the truth behind the death of Mu Yuan's dad's death. It turns out that killing his family member is the only way to restore the humanity in the manic Chong Ye. Because they are sworn brothers, Yupan sacrifices his life to do this. Then to protect the sect and the sutras, chong ye killed himself.
After settling that account, second dad tells Zhi that Tou injury is bad and told her to go to Moon Valley to help him recover by imparting the Lotus Sutra to him. Zhi went and helped him. YES, both of them confirmed their feelings and they cleared the air about their concerns the year earlier.
I heard that because of Covid-19 outbreak, Leo is isolated and couldn't go to Beijing for dubbing. That's why. The…
I was sure about the voice somewhere in ep 10 during the confession scene. It gave me the same painful vibe like Ye Hua's. Need to get myself used to it tho because this drama looks like its going to be as painful as TMOPB
I finished 15 and 16, what do you wanna know? There isn't much going on, except for Lang Ya's death. There is…
I was not expecting that death AT ALL. It was so sudden and we didnt even really get to know him properly to even mourn him. He can be a good device to further demonstrate why Tuo is so afraid of relationships (and losing them) but that death comes too fast. Again, are we missing something from the novel?
For me, this drama moves too fast in the first two episodes with introduction of all the many characters, it felt choppy. I think the pace and editing improves after ep 4 and tbh, I like the pace so far.
I think what this drama did differently is the ML and FL resolving their issues on their own before meeting again as a better person. This is opposite to normal plot of LM & FL growing together so it might come as boring because we don't see the characters interacting but I find it refreshing.
For now, I think the plot is still diverging and I really do hope it ties well at the end. Based on the trailer, God please bless my heart this June. hahaha.
*edited because I understood FZ differently.

THIS IS A HAPPY DAY FOR SHIPPERS!
P/s: LYX's ballet training really shows. I don't think I've ever seen a cultivating scene as beautiful as in ep 18.
