The dialogues are among the strength of this drama in my opinion though it could be a bit boring and tiring when metaphors are continuously used. Hahaha

Zhi is going to regret all those cold shoulders once Tuo is gone. I mean, that level of misunderstanding only requires 1-2 rounds of pull and push. I think its too much when she disregarded his cover for her and left the banquet mid-drink.

Also, I need the amazing fighter Shangguan Tuo back. I can't stand him being slashed easily by normal people regardless of reason or plot device.

I was mad he didn't attack those soldiers until I realised that Feng Cheng threatened him to not attack and just withstand those slashes or he'll kill Zhi. I expected heated fighting scene when he arrives so I am dissapointed that the fight scene escalated quickly. Anyways, the scene after that kind of made up for it though I do agree this is time to bring back the amazing Tuo from ep 1-2.

Uhh this MV has lots of spoilers. I like it though.

Imagining him as the ML, the plot will go similar like Love and Destiny. He sends her aways in the first part of the drama, the middle part focused on her romance with the twin bothers and at the end she learns about his sacrifice and everything.

But he is the 2nd lead so of course more lovey dovey scenes are between the FL & ML. Some people values skinship more but I judged through the actions that controls the plot more so that really depends on perspective.

If he didn't die or she remembered their past before he died, I doubt the ending is as so. She ran right back to him the moment she remembers.

I think thats why Yun Xi is perfect for Shangguan Tuo. His character carries so much emotional burden and we can see him perform those role well.

At least in AOL, we see his angsty side. In Princess Silver, he didn't even have an ounce of angst. More like, "Since you like him, I'll undo all the things my mum did to you and hand you back to your lover". Tbh, for me he is the ML in the series but did not end with the FL.

He is so convincing in that role, I actually laughed when at the end Rong Qi's ghost had to appear to convince the ML that FL really loved him.

Mu Yuan is better well built than the slim Tuo so visually they look of similar heights. Besides that, personally I like lean guys so Shangguan Tuo fits my type well too. HAHA

On other side note, I recently watched Princess Silver and I can imagine Run Yu tells Liu Ying to stay with her for 2 months on mortal realm (similar to his request to Rong Le) to realize his dream of not being alone since both of them at the end of AOL are pretty much single.

I NEED THIS CROSSOVER FANFIC SO BAD.

Side note, I recently saw a BTS photo of Lord Lu and turns out he is taller than Tuo. He looks small and sick. But hey, that is actually his character right?

HALF TIME REVIEW.

At ep 24, we are in the middle of the series. This is a romance drama and as said by previous comments, the relationship between Shangguan Tuo and Xue Zhi is center with all the conflicts moves their relationship into different stages [friendship > fluffy romance > (now is building trust)].

There are mixed review about the leads but I think Yunxi and Yukee are doing good job in portraying their characters as both of them have wide character arc to develop. I am looking forward the full version of them as masters and as a couple.

Plot wise, I think everything is starting to converge into a consolidated main storyline and we should see more court-jianghu crisis intersection. To be honest, this intersection is also one of the reason that gets me started with the series as I usually watch wuxia OR court drama. So its interesting to see what story will come out from the intersection of both elements.

Also, thank god for the improvement in the BGM. Its getting better as the series progress. I will definitely binge on this series once its completed because it deserves a marathon session.

I was cheering for Feng Zi then she falls again into Master Yuan's scheme. I was sad though when she realised that she was a pawn in her master's scheme at the end of ep 24.

We can expect great fighting scene next week but I also think the palace-jiang hu politics are going to be more complex.

TRUE. There is no drama without misunderstanding and jealousy. And then, 2nd daddy again warns him about him keeping his burden on himself. Time for shangguan tuo to let go of his insecurities and start trusting other people.

I love 2nd Daddy too. He is so calm and wise, no wonder the ambitious Chong Ye liked him too.

Agreed but think Leo is trying to be respectful about it. Though I like that he leads and try to make yukee comfortable in making the scene.
