I used to be lukewarm about watching this drama because of the cuts I saw of some scenes on tiktok and it felt like an abusive relationship that people would fantasize over once again. But today I finally watched it while being bored because the high ranking kind of surprised me. And I must say: OH BOY was I wrong about all of it. It is a quite amazing show with interesting multilayered characters, a plot that holds itself and a very good pace even with such big time jumps, a believable story and it was sooo beautifully shot! I really sympathized with both Hira and Kiyoi's pov, feelings and story, and it felt fresh. I don't think I remember a BL talking about the issue of idealizing your crush so much and it's impact on the surrounding. And the other guy having such a complex personality as well n being hurt by the projections people have of him- I'm not explaining this well but yeah. Very refreshing and will definitely think about it again in the future. It still got it's minor defaults but really secondary to the amazing show it is overall. ALSO the musics????? I'm absolutely obsessed with it

Amazing as always its getting harder everyday to wait for the next episode. I jumped everywhere during the talk at the end I was like "LOOK AT HIM ITS NOT THE SAME" gun's acting is no joke the more I see black (even in his softer scenes w Tod) the more I can tell the twins appart its pure genius
really liked it and the way it showed a very true and realistic side of lgbt people's experience, paired with the place of a boy at an age where you still struggle to stand your ground and you try to fit in. People who gives bad review just didn't read the resume properly. It's not a bad short, it may just not be what they were looking for. I would totally recommend this short, not as a lovey dovey short film but as what it is: a realistic depiction of life and lgbt experience in parts of the world.
I actually enjoyed this movie (while not approving of some behaviors in it) it was really interesting from an art pov: the choice in music, cinematography, the length of the scenes and the way they shot every part was very interesting and unique, and overall worked really well together. I also understood the plot I dont really get what people are missing about it. It isn't the most obvious and simple one but is pretty understandable if you really follow each dialogue and the unsaid words spoken through the shared looks etc. I'm not mad I watched it, very interesting, and inspiring art wise. I love how experimental these movies can get sometimes. Also loved the actors. Won't recommend it to people tho, if you choose to watch it then you're the only one responsible for that.
the pilot trailer got me kicking my feet. They really kept the angst side of this universe going right? I love the depth of the storyline that they presented us. I love the potential of their ship and if I had been a bit disappointed by their dynamic when watching the "special episodes", this pilot sure did bring up my expectation and excitement for this series! can't wait for it to finally release! (after 3 years omg)
