I keep on seeing bad reviews so I had to throw my grain of salt. I don't think the drama is bad. Actually I find the two characters pretty refreshing, their chemistry isn't put into place with forceful keys like "holding eyes" or stuff like that I think they're pretty confortable around each other and it works to make them fall into a comfort routine that can be linked to a certain type of romance. The two characters complete each other in the best way possible, I also love that they both have a depth and a backstory, and one that isn't really cliche. I'm actually curious about Tommy and Han BaDa, I think that even if the production lacks a bit in some points, other points are really really good and refreshing as well. (warning spoilers) For exemple the feet washing scene? Never seen that in a drama before, but the meaning behind it and the vulnerability it holds really touched me. (end of spoiler?) I also find Holland to be a pretty good actor actually. His character is really natural and I think what makes him even more peculiar is the fact that he isn't your typical Korean beauty trained actor. There is something very charming about him. Also I won't talk about Gichan but we all know he can play and is actually really good in his role here as well. The only dark spot for me is: the girl like omg I wanna slap her so bad I swear she pisses me off badly. And the humor maybe at times? tho I'm not really taking this series seriously so the few unpredictable scenes (the car accident like?? I died laughing when I saw holland on the ground) made me laugh more than cringe. But it is also very calm and kind of endearing because its not about big romantic moves and cliche personalities, for once the "life of the party cheerful" character isn't that naive and obliviously happy. He is flawed and we can also feel it. To end this let me say that I get why some people complain about the lack of tension and the speed sometimes, but to me it's not that bothering. It's normal to have fights with someone you are getting to know, it can go south quickly, and it's not toxic or overwhelmingly annoying. I feel like this review was going everywhere but I'm glad If you took the time to read it till the end! on that note enjoy the rest of the show :)
another day of missing Gameplay for Jeff. Don't get me wrong, Barcode is doing a really good job but I always felt a special attachment to Jeff and Gameplay's chemistry, and even further than that, their chemistry while singing. Green Tea and Honey gave so much of them, their friendship and Gameplay's voice. I was so looking forward to see them in this series and I still can't get over Gameplay's departure from it. Barcode and Jeff's scene in ep 5 was fine but my mind kept coming back to how it would've sounded with Jeff and Gameplay while singing together. I guess it could pass as the series goes on and I really like Barcode. I just wanted to put this out there because it's been bugging me...
I used to be lukewarm about watching this drama because of the cuts I saw of some scenes on tiktok and it felt like an abusive relationship that people would fantasize over once again. But today I finally watched it while being bored because the high ranking kind of surprised me. And I must say: OH BOY was I wrong about all of it. It is a quite amazing show with interesting multilayered characters, a plot that holds itself and a very good pace even with such big time jumps, a believable story and it was sooo beautifully shot! I really sympathized with both Hira and Kiyoi's pov, feelings and story, and it felt fresh. I don't think I remember a BL talking about the issue of idealizing your crush so much and it's impact on the surrounding. And the other guy having such a complex personality as well n being hurt by the projections people have of him- I'm not explaining this well but yeah. Very refreshing and will definitely think about it again in the future. It still got it's minor defaults but really secondary to the amazing show it is overall. ALSO the musics????? I'm absolutely obsessed with it
this is already so freaking good omg also the boat fight scene? how did they manage to put this much sxx tension in a fight while also making us laugh?
@ArkieDad @miaa99 @Ackery thank you all for the answers, Ackery I didn't put any info in yet it stopped me at the "credit card" page before I could enter infos. Miaa idk if it works but It may, I managed to make it work by trying on another device like ArkieDad suggested. Thank you all hope this can also help other people?
when I click on the pay for the 5.99 monthly subscription it opens a window with the credit card option alone, and continue at the bottom but when I click on it it shows a red error message saying "null is not an object (evaluating '(u="pc"===Object(be.a)()?window.open("about:blank","_blank"):window).location')"
Amazing as always its getting harder everyday to wait for the next episode. I jumped everywhere during the talk at the end I was like "LOOK AT HIM ITS NOT THE SAME" gun's acting is no joke the more I see black (even in his softer scenes w Tod) the more I can tell the twins appart its pure genius
