it's an interesting take and I surely didn't think of it that way. It did feel like the filming was fitted for their lifestyle tho but I think you just pointed out exactly what I was failing to identify. I don't know who said Gun acted badly in this because I personally always thought his acting was on point!
Has to be one of the best BL series I ever watched because of its huge feel good power. just rewatched it actually, and I love this series even more now. There are many flaws but appart from them the character growth, the deep genuine connections between the characters and the deeper message conveyed in this series are spot on. You rarely see such good quality writing and upbringing in BLs these days in therms of character arcs. Many characters have great depth, are well exploited in and out of the main plot, and it makes you root for everyone. You come to love all of those people. As a second watch, I think I can now say that Nakao Masaki (Issei)'s acting is playing a huge role in this. The acting style is BL and comedie so we could not notice how good he actually is, but his facial expressions always told so many stories. I think his acting and the one of Yamada & some group members really did a lot for the show. The chemistry and humanity of all of them was mostly showed through this (and good writing). This series is also so freaking funny. Many try this kind of humor but few succeed. This one is just always spot on, you never get bored. Either you laugh or you cry (and sometimes roll your eyes). Even Nekoyashiki's story is so freaking relatable and surprisingly deep for the kind of show this is. And it's a great discovery as it adds another layer to the series that gives it even more interest. His story and the ones of Issei and Tsubasa. Overall a breath of fresh air that makes you believe in kindness, passion and friendships. I just love that this series exists!!!
gonna be brain rotting on this series for a couple weeks I think. what an amazing show. and really well written too. I fell inlove with the BL couple they really came like a breath of fresh air. overall loved how good all the actors were and how striking and believable the family dynamic was written. I didn’t wanna leave their side..
the chemistry and acting is just purely amazing!!! it feels so natural and sweet I've been kicking my feet every episode!!! this reaches my top 3 of the year easily in therms of quality!
made me cry so many times I guess this show wasn't for me, hate to see people betray their friends or people team up like bullies against others on no other base then futile ideas they have of said people. I feel like dropping the show (I'm 6 ep in).
for me this drama was a very good depiction of what women are faced with in a patriarchal society. how it affects their mentality. how they throw their lives away for the sake of the shitty men in their lives instead of bonding and fighting against them…
watched both the Thai and this one, and I didn’t remember sh*t about the Thai version lmaoo, so kinda went blind.
a good series to turn the brain off and have a quick laugh and entertainment! I wasn’t blown away by the thing but it wasn’t bad to watch either. it’d say it’s a good middle ground. Like bread. everyone likes bread, it goes with everything, and yet it doesn’t have incredible or shocking taste.

this series is sweet but very classical in the BL genre. no amazing performance or crazy visuals, it’s easy to watch when turning your brain off.
still, thankfully, it’s not falling too much into some of the usual problematic BL tropes. lots of cliche happenings tho. lots of miscommunication. If you don’t like overly dramatized plots, or simple university plots I wouldn’t recommend this for you. There are some interesting twists to the story, and surprisingly consistent and likable characters overall. So I’d say, not a bad series, but do not watching expecting to be surprised or highly entertained. It’s simple, efficient and sometimes a bit fast. It’s a true middle ground to those shorter Korean BL series (sprinkled with lots of good chemistry kissing).
