Just a short answer for @coco who after replying to my comment, went and blocked me! Well, I guess from your point…
I agree with most what you said and would like to add that the only one what was heavily traumatized by it is Tai (he is 2nd oldest, right? + he is at least 20 what it happened) - even the youngest (4th) took it better, so I think that Tai being Tai has something to it as well.
I have not watched "oryginal" and haven't read this book (read her others, so I am simply not going to torture myself). Having said that I ready enjoy this series - I will be waiting for it every week (of the quality doesn't drop) and that's high praise "in my books". All of them are doing great job! The only thing that I don't like (but is Chinese series typical): dubbing. I can always recognise that this is Chinese (and not Taiwanese) due to this factor and it's taking me a bit out of the experience/story. I think "Killer and Healer" had it most prominently but I still loved the series even though it was SE (they did alternative, happy ending with PowerPoint, I think ๐)
can anyone recommend a drama with the side character stories? like a BL where one of them is being bullied and…
Not exactly what you want but if you are into MC being a bit clueless/naรฏve and then trough the course of the series becoming a bit of a badass (his twin is the true badass), then "Not me" is what I would recommend (with a bit of enemies to lovers vibe). Gun is really great at portraying 3,5-4 different people: White, White pretending to be Black, Black and Black half-assing pretending to be White ๐. People love Off and he was doing much better here than in other BLs but who can compare to ageless cutie who can jump higher than his hight? ๐ 2nd couple is fan favourite and there is 3rd couple and they are hetero (which is not happening often in BLs + in book he was in love with Black... but the book is just a big NO), not to mention ghost ships ๐ (Black + final "baddie" and GL). A bit more of what you are looking for: "End of the world with you" (โ ๏ธ p*rn with plot โ ๏ธ), "Unlucky-kun has no choice but to kiss", "Colour Rush" (in book it was clear that he was bullied for being mono - he gave them back more than he got ๐), "Roommates of Poongduck 304", "Semantic Errorr" (MC was indifferent to bullying untill "error" occurred ๐), "You make me dance", "He She It" (๐จ not HE, similarly to "Make our Days count" ๐จ), "I will knock you" (MC is intimidated by/scared off like 5 younger ML ๐).
definitely doesn't make sense as I've seen mostly positive comments on this show.. I legit feel GMMTV fans be…
I agree especially about "Moonlight Chicken" - if not for the LiMing and Heart it wouldn't be worth even 7,5 (I was hoping for more from our 3rd pair but, same as "Cupid's last Wish", it was a real letdown). Unpopular opinion, but I don't think that "Bad Buddy" is worth 8,5. It wasn't enything revolutionary and I don't get why people love that series so much. There were only few GMMTV series that I was anticipating every week and they weren't it (for example: "A tale of 1000 stars" and "Not Me" were).
Perhaps due to her like always doing from r*pe to lovers? I haven't read "Addicted" because I read some of her other "masterpieces" and I always give "Counterattack" (made to a movie, if you are interested look for: "Falling in Love with a Rival") as example just how sick the novels are. MC1 smacks his head repeatedly with brick to stop his GF from leaving him - this always lands him in MC2 clinic. GF wants wealthy BF, so she is pursuing ML1. MC1 decides that the best revenge is to make ML1 like him instead (ML1 has a thing for big bottoms, so MC1 is ideal). ML1 is friends(?) with ML2 (he is chasing MC2 and surprisingly doesn't need r*pe to start being with him... around chapter 100 o.O). Now to some of the disgusting/disturbing parts. ML2 has a snake, who checks girls virginity (you know how ๐คฎ). MC2 had BF, who wanted to break up with MC2 (I don't remember why), so he devised a plot: got some guys to jump MC2 and then they faked r*ping him. MC2 is a doctor, so I don't know why he believed it for so many years (till he was told the truth) but whatever. His ex told him that since now he is "dirty" they have to break up (the whole ex act makes me so ๐คฌ). (I will admit that I like MC2 more than MC1, so I erased most of his dumb plot from my memory ๐)
So the real question here is who would you choose Patts or Lomfon? Honestly Patts gives agressive vibes after…
I will admit that Patts was giving me serial killer vibes (especially his smile) since the beginning. When he was found with the cat in the clinic on his day off, I was like: was he there to kill the puppies? When it comes to Lomfon - I really don't like homewrecker trope. If one knows that the other person is in relationship (he even saw that Tai was happy in it), then 3rd wheel should back off. I would have chosen Tian ๐, as he was the only one who was genuinely supportive (he has his childish moments but there were a lot of moments where he was showing more maturity than Tai). I just hope that Lomfon truly appreciates him, as they are definitely end goal. Tai and Patts both should stay single, get some therapy and perhaps then they could start a relationship (preferably with somebody else).
the show is good actors play good negative comments are a thing in mdl for reasons .1.they hate the actors and…
I would disagree with you here. 1. As far as I can tell there is no hate for the actors (there might be small exceptions but not like even significant minority) - more like pointing out that they are lacking (some of them are rookies, so it's normal). Additionally I feel like directing and script play a big role in negative response to the show (bigger than actors IMO). 2. Haven't seen negative comments about it being (office) BL. 3. Why reading book would be any redeeming the show? It should on it's own be done in a way that's understandable (like timeline, motivation, characters). Yes, book usually shows additional depth but this show portrays Pat as big whiny baby with hardly any good qualities, so I am not surprised that people are not buying Jeng liking him (and are just generally surprised how popular he is). Books can also be super bad and shows fantastic ("Not me"), so IMO when it comes to it we should at most assess if show was true to the book (showed the important stuff etc.) or compare if it was better/worst/same as the book. Nobody should expect audience to read the book in order to get the gist of the story/characters. 4. Not sure what you mean here. IMO show is not bad (I wait for it every week ๐) but considering how much time they have per ep (over 1h) - I would have expected less unnecessary fillers or more character development (slow burn ist fine just let us get their motivation, show us what is so appealing in Pat or understand the whole Jaab/Jane love story). They still have 3 EPs, so fingers crossed.
im quite excited for this-- im not familiar w sammon as a writer but the adaptations of her works that ive seen…
I read them and in my opinion mains characters are a bit different then in the adaptation. In "Manner of Death" Bun was cold like ice. Similarly in "Spear me your mercy"/"Euthanasia" the officer. In both cases the ML had to chase after them hard and I had mixed feelings if they actually felt the same about their partners. The only exception from that rule were Sorawit and Thad (who was more thuggish in the novel) - Thad punched Sorawit because he thought that Sorawit was avoiding him and Thad was generally jealous of him.
That's simply not possible. They are going to need refreshment all the time with Oishi 0%, feeding each other…
Canon was not so often as others, if I remember correctly but chicken and black inhaler - definitely ๐. Not sure about laundry detergent - perhaps they used different ones and it did not stick to my brain. ๐ค Yes, I watched "Vice Versa" and thought that product placement was noticeable but comparable to some other shows. Still I would prefer that they either got more subtle or decreased the amount of them altogether. It's Thailand and they need sponsors just to make some event in University, so I wouldn't hold my breath, thought.
I just want to said is "Welcome to Drama World" Drama world is an unexplained world ๐๐๐
Considering that Patts apparently carried Tai up to the road and then downhill for hours - love makes people superhuman ๐ All seriousness - I was also wandering how Tian got him down in pouring rain. If I remember correctly, a moment before Lomfon got "hit" Tian said for them to wait out the rain... Where? There were only trees there and they were not giving much cover. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I just want to said is "Welcome to Drama World" Drama world is an unexplained world ๐๐๐
I know how it goes and I am usually more tolerant but it just kept piling up ๐ After it ended I was not satisfied with how little development was with so much time per [each] EP. It is not worst series, I've seen but let's not level down and they are doing it in the dumbest places (dissapearing car was last straw). I really like the premise of this series and most of the time it's a pleasure ๐
I wish the length was long or it should be 16 eps like light on me. I mean this is cute but they are removing…
I agree with other commenters: what porn in Korean BLs? Have I missed something? ๐ณ I think the "porniest" was "The Eighth Sense" which was not much when compared to Thai productions ("Bed Friends" was basically smut with some plot ๐). When we compare to some Japanese (like "The End of the World with you") - it was nothing. In Korean ones we are lucky to get the kiss (*cough*"A shoulder to cry on"*cough*) and if it's not a fish one (*cough*"Colour Rush"*cough*) it's like ๐
I have such an issue with this ep. How could people standing next to each other not hear the conversation? Once guy was screaming to girl on the other side and people next to her were like: what did he said? Is everyone experiencing hearing loss there even without rain? In your face continuity issue: Patts, Tian & Lomfon parked the car next to outdoor tables. All 3 went to search and came back roughly at the same time - where is the car? Why nobody took the car to the hill? They walked on asphalt most of the time! I get that the signal was most likely only on the foot of the hill but Patts called and nobody came until morning?! Additionally they spent the whole night wet there and nobody got sick? The flashbacks - come on! Were they asking director how many he wants and his response was: "yes!"?!
Don't tell me that Lomfon is also Tai's soulmate :โ -โ |Lomfon can have Tien :โ -โ )
My theory: it's because of that mountain. One option might be that all with the hearing loss can hear eachother there (hence why he heard both Tai and Patt's). I think that it was Lomfon's 1st time experiencing hearing loss and Tian is not 20 yet, so perhaps (2nd option) if you are without "adult" soulmate you can hear everyone on the mountain but once Tian is 20, Lomfon is going to be hearing only him. 3rd option is mรฉnage ร trois (treesome) but I highly doubt it.
Hahaha! I get what you mean about Japan: it's either something like "Kieta Hatsukoi"/"8.2 Byo no Hosoku" (not…
When I read synopsis I was like they have big age gap, which I am not a fan of, so I decided to check the comments and got the feeling it's basically porn, so I skipped this one (the whole series, in fact).
most people are upset about the story that its toxic, but thats how its supposed to be based on the novel. if…
@AlonsoLioneth Uncut shows more (including via flashbacks), so I would recommend it. Honestly it doesn't feel like it's longer - they don't do much filler scenes. You can skip "Unforgotten Night" (or watch it in whatever order - as the production companies are differen, so are the actors as well). I will tell you how their characters were introduced in Day/Itt novels. Both Kamol and Kim have a brief appearance in vol 2. We get info that Kim wants to meet Day (that was 1st mention of Kim). Apparently Itt already knows that Kim was Day's ex-bed-friend (Kim wanted more; Itt was jealous of Kim's look but not behaving in the usual over the top way - was quite subdued). Kim told Day and Itt that there is somebody with whom he has problem and needs to lay low for a bit. He never mentions any name. The same day Day gets call from his ex- boss's (Kamol) right hand man, Kom. Kom (35years old, who has his own pairing in "Unforgotten Night" with 15 years old boy ๐คข) said that boss needs Day to help him find somebody and they will come shortly to discuss details. Day is not convinced he can help but once they meet (in Day's house, where Kim is hiding as well), Kamol tells Day that it's Day's highschool friend he is looking for and lo and behold Kim just walked in. They exchange words and Kim agrees to go with Kamol. The end (they meet later when Day + Itt + Itt's nephew, Salmon, go on vacation but that is like a day-two or so). "Unforgotten Night" tells the story from Kim's and Kamol's perspective, so really you don't need to know a thing. In the series Kim and Kamol have maybe 3 scenes (hospital, flashback and let's call it "backyard ceremony" not to spoil it) and you would still get the gist out of it. Author wrote so many novels with a lot of couples, so in other to get the miniscule nuances one would have to read not only 3 books about Day/Itt (Neil/Nick have like 10 extra chapters about them each book), Night/Gear (before Itt/Day), Mac/Nan and Kamol/Kim (I think this novel was published after Day/Itt vol. 3). Trust me - you can do fine without them (especially mentally because, I think, only Nick/Neil's relationship did not start with r*pe ๐คข Neil was calling him Rhino* - like they all - but if I remember correctly they had the healthiest relationship, which is not saying much for this author). *For those who want to understand what they mean by Rhino: https://youtube.com/shorts/q8V-vkqNO8s
Don't get me wrong, I liked the original Japanese version but It definitely wasn't all that great. I feel like…
Hahaha! I get what you mean about Japan: it's either something like "Kieta Hatsukoi"/"8.2 Byo no Hosoku" (not even a fish kiss) a or "Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu" (porn with some plot - honestly I was not expecting it to happen after so many J-BLs being on the level of "2gether" high five and was quite shocked by the "banging" ๐). "Utsukushii Kare" hat better balance, in "Jack o' Frost" I was wondering if the couple was actually established because their kissing in flashback was not what I would expect from long-term relationship (was it due to director or workshops or actors? ๐ค).
I hope itโs well written and directed. It lookโs very promising!! Also I better not even see 1 product placement…
That's simply not possible. They are going to need refreshment all the time with Oishi 0%, feeding each other Lay's, drive Suzuki (this is usually the least in-your-face product placement), use some skin care products (hepefuly not to the extent of "The Promise"), there might be seaweed being eaten or if there is a cat - constant feeding it with specific treats ("Moonlight Chicken", I am talking to you). I hope I haven't forgotten any major sponsors, because that would meant that they were not enough obnoxiously placed ๐
