I really like how Wine handles the whole mother issue. He is in that a total opposite to Gun (whose forcing reconciliation was just not my cup of tea) and I love him for it. He accepted Fai's feelings, validated them and was supprtive of his decision. I hope he keeps it up (as mom now tries to love bomb Fai, I think).

I would slightly disagree with you. He was not clear/genue/honest with his ex GF and best friend. I get why (internalised homophobia) but he does have this little "black spot" in otherwise great character.
I think he needs to be the straightforward one in order to counterbalance Fai's people pleasing tendencies (in the novel they were actually "exchanging services": Fai was teaching him love and he was teaching him to be less of a people pleaser).

Honestly, since EP01, I was like: when is their storyline going to start?
I knew I would like it the best (fingers crossed that no crazy OOC happens because that is the only way I could see me like them less) - every time we got snippets of his and Fai's interactions I was replaying it multiple times.

I watched them in Cherry Magic and was not happy how they (scriptwriters/director) like half-arsed their story. This doesn't change the fact that Junior is great at comedic scenes, especially when he gets like gay panic 🤭 and Mark is realy suitable for the calm, mature roles (like in Sky in your Heart, where his acting was not phenomenal but I liked him and Mek much more than JoongDunk in Star in my Mind).
I can't wait to see them in My Love Scammer (not sure about 2nd couple because Ohm till now was mainly 1-expression-guy but fingers crossed that with workshops and good partner he won't disappoint.

I read most of the novel (got stuck on volume 2 because Fai is to hyper for me there) and per novel Wine went on sirf of date with Tor (that was basically how he knew he had no feelings for him anymore). I wonder if they are going to incorporate that here - we still have 4 EPs and my guess would be the cursed EP23.

No, I haven't watched yet - I am starting this series, so thank you for confirming that this kind of behaviour won't be easily forgiven (or at all).

So far each story had one but here the only new characters are Jay + Ben (best friend + YouTuber) 🤔

I really don't like the trope of forgive because "family".
In Perfect 10 Liners the mother abandoned her family, took one of the 3 kids (A) and then told them all that she would have preferred to take the other kid (B) and they would be happy then and never contact the family... this was her reason for taking A, so that A would motivate her to stay in contact with other kids. Let's add to that that she dropped A like a hot potato once she got new family & planned to ghost her A-C kids and leave the country without telling them but of course everything got forgiven (face of A kid gives me a bit of hope that he hasn't truly forgiven). And the cherry on the top: A, with whom she stayed for years, has severe allergy... which she just erased from her memory! I remember not just close+extended family members allergies/food sensitivities but also my neighbour kids, dogs in the extended family etc. but she couldn't remember her own son's! 😤
I think in Bed Frinds mother did not receive forgiveness (here we had her knowing about SA that was continuously happening under her roof!) - we should normalise not forgiving (especially easily) horrendous behaviour.

How I see it it's a bit like opportunity+greed. Boss gets to know that Rose likes Jack (exchange is to make Jack date Rose in exchange for the necklace), so Boss makes him his adoptive son in order to get more power by being Rose's father-in-law (here comes Boss's scheming and greed+opportunity). Joke comes to him asking for Jack's freedom, so Boss most likely thinks that it's a back up plan (especially since he seems to think that Jack is not progressing fast enough with Rose to get married) + it might have been for him great opportunity for revenge for his parents death (him and his sister might have known about it for some time but they lacked skill/opportunity to get it). So the necklace was solved almost immediately but the ring was his ultimate revenge.

I'm on EP08 and I have much better resolution to the game. What Jack should have asked for his "anything wish" is for the guy to swap places with the auntie. He knows the rules, right? 😈

I am on 6th and I agree. I could understand forgiving once but twice?
Also... what does Aran see in that guy? (I am hoping for Aran to get truly independent & happy and - if he wants - a NICE BF and not this serial traitor).
I also don't get Hope & Save - they were childhood friends but Save seems like such a goody two shoes. At least I like the actor playing Hope better in this role than in La Pluie.

I am right now on the hugging scene with Yotha and was so enraged, that I had to pause and comment... but you seem to have read my mind because you hit all the 💩 points about her.I also could not believe that she forgot about Faifah's allergy but it's crystal clear that he is an afterthought for her (not sure who is lower on her scale: New or Fai 😮‍💨 but it looks like Yotha is No. 1 and father and Gun might fight for No. 2 😒). Her going to England - she basically admitted that she wanted to ghost her kids (it's not like they sold the house in a week and she simply had no time to let them know) and then had the gall to guilt trip Fai to meet his half-siblings at the airport. What a piece of work!Side note: I did not like Gun trying to convince Yotha that he should forgive her because "she was hurt too" and "no woman wants to marry twice". My man - she was the one who left and even selfishly took Fai, just to toss him like a garbage once she got new family! I get that his life experience was with a happy family but there are legitimate reasons for people to limit or even break contact with family member(s) and honestly Fai should go at least LC (but seeing her behaviour I doubt she would notice or care - it's not Yotha... then again she would probably not notice it from him as well). Let's not minimize nor romanticise toxic family members.

The script and the actors matter as well. Let's take To Sir with Love Vs Laws of Attraction: TSwL was really good + popular and because of that LoA got hyped a lot but did not live up to that (and CGI was simply awful) and the actors "de-coupled" to do their thing (conspiracy theorist would say that they did it on purpose 😉). If I remember correctly people were praising Films acting but it could not save among other things: chopped story (that was glaring obvious for the 2nd couple - I even got back to previous EP because I thought I missed them getting together... I was not but the series was).

I meant director in THK might have helped with his acting.
As an example: I am not fan of Off but I really liked his character in Not Me (let's light a 🕯️ for Cooking Crush). He still isn't on the same level as Gun, IMO, but the difference was not so glaring.

There were already 2 BLs with JoongDunk and I had to drop the 2nd (Hidden Agenda). I was able to watch the Star on your Mind because it was just 8 EPs and I knew that there is kind of part 2 (with older brother as a main) coming, which I liked much more (sadly Mark had to be "de-coupled" and had like 1,5 year of no series except 1 guest role due to partner change 😮‍💨) - the times when we had like maybe 1-2 BLs during week and beggars could not be choosers (when I go back to some earlier ones I get smacked with unintentional cringe 😂 but they were like golden standard at the time).
I think that at least Dunk is kind of better in THK as his character seems to be more like him, so he doesn't have to act much (+people like crazy characters - like in Laws of Attraction my favourite was the crazy ex, Nawin 🤭). I might be wrong and he might have improved as well 🤷‍♀️ (good director can help actors "level up"). As for Joong I feel like he again got casted is basically the same character. IMO they are not on the level (acting-wise) to be main leads but they are not the only hyped couple that gets lead roles basically due to (sometimes crazy) fanbase, looks and/or money behind them.

I wouldn't call them as side couple in Only Friend's - all couples had more or less similar screen time. I would say that popular consensus was that they were the best couple in it (there were a lot of Boston apologist but I don't recall big support for BostonNick... Were FirstNick more popular than Boston Nick?).
Let's not forget about The Eclipse! Here they were the mains (and some times I forget that the secondary couple existed). It's still referenced as great series.
I don't know if we can call them a secondary couple in Moonlight Chicken but they were fantastic (Khao even got award for it).
When I watch THK and compare Khao's character with the one in OF, one should see some similarities (both from wealthy background with family tragedy, quite flirty and wild) but I could tell Ray and Bison apart even with my eyes closed - they are just that distinctively different.

As for JoongDunk - I watched their both series before this (I dropped Hidden Agenda) and they played the same characters in both. I would say that Joong is still in similar character (maybe a bit colder) but Dunk got more of a comedic role (perhaps closer to his character) and that seems to fit him better. I would say that there is some progress (especially in Dunk's acting) but IMO they are not on the level of main characters (=almost every secondary couple would overshadow them even more than AouBoom did others in We Are). FistKhao weren't even a couple in Moonlight Chicken and they were so beloved that GMM had to do "continuation" of their story on Ossan's Love. I think if EarthMix in Moonlight Chicken (and Earth IMO was lacking skills for this role) were substituted by JoongDunk - they would not be able to carry the roles (even ignoring age difference).

Google was showing me (I think) 17th of April, so that would still make it impossible for the guys to be born in the same year.
What they could do: fraternal twins. That would solve the fact that they are not identical in the series (I saw recap of the 3rd novel and it was actually a bit of a plot point that they were identical twins - one of them even died his hair to make it easier to be recognised by his love interest).

Yotha and Faifa. Yotha is the older one. They were both born in the same year. Yotha's birthday is April, 8th. Let's add to that 9 months and Faifah should have been born in January of the next year - or is it counted differently in Thailand? Was Faifa premature? The math isn't "mathing" for me.
I know sisters who were born on the same year but one was born in January and the other in December (even such "distance" must have been hard on the mother's body - not to mention instant pregnancy as this show suggests...).

Don't forget about the male nurse that was still conscious when police arrived. Let's also not forget that when somebody is knocked out their muscles don't "help" with carrying (basically they are harder to carry in such state), so I was actually wondering how he was able to do the whole attack with guys that were bigger than him (especially the nurse). Then I remembered how he and Fadel (or Fadew, as Dunk and Khao are pronouncing it 🤭) were handling their victims, so he had some practice (but it was done by 2 fully healthy people).
Style's abduction also was questionable - how come Fadel was in the exact bathroom Style went to? Nobody else used the bathroom? How did he extracted Style's from said bathroom? He had to lift him to his car - I would say that trunk of Kant's car should take less effort than Fadel's (as it's lower). He also undresses unconscious Style. Add to that that he had the arm in a sling the whole time.
Both abductions are hardly believable but nothing new in action movies, I would say.

I am on EP02 (they just met again) and I am not sure how Jack can blame his current circumstances on Joker. Joker did give him hope and Jack was temporarily accused, true. I would have been angry at crushed dreams + being framed as well but after 5 years he should have gained some perspective (like the guy confessed, so that innocent would not be harmed). Had Joker not been in the bank that day - would that change anything? Jack's plan was so unrealistic that there is no way he would have been given a loan (he was refused at every other place). The loan was a pipe dream and if anybody was to blame: those who settled him with loans (+himself a bit for taking the burden) and the rich 🍑🕳️ who prohibited Jack from joining the team (let's face it: if not for Jack's pride the guy would not have been targeting him - not that it makes 🍑🕳️'s behaviour in any shape or form ok).

Side note: the whole story with Rosé was so hilarious to me. Especially how she was flirting and they as well 😂 They were all so oblivious (or pretending to be) 🤭

Don't forget him in Moonlight Chicken (see: funeral scene) - he even got award for that one.
