Yeah and on paper, Gawin and Krist were the exact opposite. Everyone was really confused and hesitant about them…
Hey sorry for the late reply. "Clubs" are basically just discussion threads on mdl forums. There's not much to it really
If you want to join, just comment something random there like "joining" or a hi and that's it really. Then onwards any comments in the club will show up in our inbox unless you turn it off with the green eye symbol.
We basically post about upcoming gl series, we used to do a group movie watch but not anymore. It's fun and there's no pressure or anything :)
Its not really unrealistic per se. I'm from a country where being gay was something that was a criminal offense…
Actually both sides of this argument have a point. I'd say it's unrealistic even in Thailand to have the level of gay shenanigans going on here but do any of us watch bl for the real things π
I'd say what you described is exactly how they met, at the bar they spotted each other. and so strangers in the university become and unlikely group of "friends". Moreover I wouldn't say they've been friends for long, like Ray talked about how they were friends in 2nd year, but they definitely don't go far beyond that. Again, this can be debated
Atom was there simply for the drama of it π€£ i was wondering what role he'd play given he is in the series intro and damn he created a good mess, but was somehow important to Boston's redemption arc . . .
Ep 8 imo: Messy messy messy.I'd already suspended my disbelief of the unrealistic amount of gay people popping…
Its not really unrealistic per se. I'm from a country where being gay was something that was a criminal offense until a few years ago, so we obviously don't have the expansive lgbt subculture that Thailand does, but even here there are certain places gay people meet, become friends and form groups. Can't say if their shenanigans are at the same level of OF though π€£
Plus, Jennie's chr, the bar owner, being lgbt herself will definitely provide a safe haven which other clubs might not offer. Something similar was shown very clearly in Be my favorite
There is something I'd really like an input on from everyone. It's been troubling me for a while and since this…
There are people who make a distinction between lgbt media and "bl/gl" because these genres do not highlight "reality of the community". These are deemed to be a fetishized portrayal of a marginalised community aimed at a completely different audience. Again, true. Like lesbian porn has a larger viewership of straight men than actual lesbians. But like who cares. I, a pansexual also fetishize and watch as much sexy as i want to
Moreover I think this such viewpoints are actually harmful. Policing (or even attempting to) of the kind of gayness that is real and allowed, policing of entertainment etc, is just bullshit. Do your own thing, don't shame others for it.
I for one would love more straight gay trans whatever people to appreciate how hot and sexy bl and gl is so we're fed more of the good stuff π
Finally, I watched the parts of Mew and Top. I still don't understand why Top fell in love with Mew so much. This…
I feel that this is what the whole show was about, i have no idea why any of them like each other and i would never be caught in a relationship like theirs for more than a week
Why doesn't Mew go for some calm book-loving cat-owning plant-keeping "good guy" and Top for somebody to suit his sauces. Same for Nick and Sand. Why not stick to the unproblematic ones. As for Top, Ray and Boston, why not keep to your own wild kind so to speak
This is what the show was about. How we go back to the one who hurt us again and again, for no reason whatsoever that anyone on the outside can point out. It's a rush inside of you, and valid or not is not something that can be judged. I for one think these are all crash and burn but that's not how love works sadly for all parties involved.
If only this was only in the show, but I've seen this enacted step-by-step in real life too. The things people do in the name of love. Sadly, not all love stories are about "good people" falling in love who'll never hurt each other (i feel you linger in the air, a currently airing bl+gl is a great example of this type is romance)
Yeah and on paper, Gawin and Krist were the exact opposite. Everyone was really confused and hesitant about them…
He was paired with Love in blacklist. That show itself is a trainwreck and the ships got everyone like: "aww hell naw" π€£ Nobody had chemistry with anybody except ofcourse First (with View, if i remember right) because he's the god-child of chemistry and beauty so ππΌββοΈ plus I think we all agree that milklove is and will always be superior
Maybe Chimon is uncomfortable, i won't be surprised if Gmmtv was pushing actors into doing things they're not comfortable with just for the dollar but it's like really unprofessional of that's the case. Chimon and Nanon were a huge ship when the gifted aired but again, it was a whole damn queerbait (i dont use this word lightly, but that one gt us fooled)
Yeah and on paper, Gawin and Krist were the exact opposite. Everyone was really confused and hesitant about them…
You're onto something, I'd first seen Chimon as Wave in the gifted and the show is overall a fav of mine from gmmtv (i'm blind to its faults). But he had very little chemistry in another bl he made with Pluem. His acting was good but somehow they didn't fit
Lmao if dangerous romance is deemed to have become popular, gmmtv might continue with them. Im interested to see who they'll pair Perth with next (I want Perth to be paired in any romance be it het or bl. That guy can do no wrong when it comes to chemistry π)
Yeah and on paper, Gawin and Krist were the exact opposite. Everyone was really confused and hesitant about them…
The only "difference" in our opinions (and it's not a difference at all actually π€£) is that i find their chemistry so terrible that I'm appalled the director didn't pull out Chimon immediately
I'm like a fan of Chimon, i love him in his other roles, but this was obviously not for him. And it's not like gmmtv has a problem with changing cast, especially not for the pairs who are not on their list of cps... Gawin himself was Mike's replacement.
How did they even think that this project was cohesive enough to be released. Even Hidden agenda is a trainwreck, but atleast it has the chemistry evident in certain scenes that can hook the target bl audience...
Chimon looks downright uncomfortable in any scene that crosses the line of friendship
Ya I don't think the show itself is that bad but the title definitely is misleading π also I think they had…
I think we'll get a lot of the other "bl pillar cps" of gmmtv like joongdunk, khaofirst and probably forcebook in the second half of 2024 Although both Joong and dunk have been given main roles as ml in two different straight romcoms, gmmtv is really pushing them as a cp
Yeah and on paper, Gawin and Krist were the exact opposite. Everyone was really confused and hesitant about them…
Beg to differ slightly, it's clear from a football field away that Perth and Chimon aren't working together. Maybe it's about direction but either way this one fell through for me
Gawin is a hidden gem, I'm glad gmmtv is giving him another main role in 2024
Everyone has a different criteria for "chemistry" and this is mine: imo, even when characters do not want to be kissed in a "i love you but I can't do this" sort of way, it's doesn't give the dead fish vibe that the scene here gave me. In fact, it's actually more passionate than reciprocating the kiss
So even if it was a character choice for Sailom, the acting and chemistry is still horribly wrong in this particular scene

I checked your profile and looks like you're into gl. I βdon't think I've seen you in the gl club but if you want then please do join it here> https://kisskh.at/discussions/general-asia-forum/91593-gl-drama-lovers-club?page=1
And I'm sorry if you've already joined, i'm not good at keeping track of people π
