Your comment dennotes your ignorance. There's barely any space for queer people in Japan, and YOU ARE FREAKING…
It doesn't work that way, just because lgbt rights don't exist, doesn't mean we shouldn't not be fighting it. In fact, we should fight it more. Although I don't really align with the original comment, but i must point out that your reasoning is very odd
The movie lost focus by trying to deal with too many other issues. And a lot of events are done for the poetic shock value of it and feel inconsistent since the movie doesn't offer any logic.
The central theme should have been their relationship and Nagisa's sex reassignment surgury. There was much more to be explored about Nagisa’s depression and gender dysphoria. I loved Ichika’s growth but it takes away the focus from Nagisa, there was a better way to integrate both stories.
Not only is Nagisa’s story disjointed, but also unnecessarily fraught with grief. I don't believe all lgbt movies should end happily but it is never okay to just hit us with an unexplained truck of sadness as this movie does.
Your review is amazing! It is perfect because this is exactly how I felt about the movie (and i mean that exactly!)
How could Nagisa put Ichika through that, and if she was so "far gone" in terms of her depression, shouldn't the movie have integrated it into the story better.
Also, Ichika was very temperamental, she just did what she wanted to. I do not buy that she didn't follow Ichika.
Nagisa going through surgery and dying on the beach, a beach similar to the one where she had faced gender dysphoria so early on as a child, to me it is just done for the poetic shock value
Imagine having Nanon in this as well. Im still hoping for just a small cameo of him so I can get Gun and him again,…
I think you might've seen the gifted but did you see midnight museum? There's a nanon cameo, and in the second half he is raised to status of a side character important to the story
I wonder if certain people understand that there is no "main MAIN" character in this series and it's supposed…
Yes it's an ensemble cast but if a certain relationship gets more focus then they're the "main main" 😂 i hope they divide it as per what each of their story needs, not on the basis of popularity of certain actors, etc.
Ok Pat is so immature. Just grow the fuck up dude!! He needs everyone to constantly praise him or babysit him.…
Pat really is immature not exactly in the way you put. Rejection is something we all deal with and they're just showing it, a man who is still young (in this vast corporate world) and he has to work on this. He gets very emotional when he's rejected, very buoyed when he's successful. But it's realistic (to me) because people do have emotional reactions like that so i don't find it annoying.
Yes, i find it odd how he shares stuff with Jeng (hurray to those who have a good boss like him) but Jeng encourages these interactions, he wants his team to open up to him. He's trying to do something different here so given the context, it makes sense in the story for Pat to confide in Jeng.
He would be meat anywhere else until he worked on his maturity (because toxic opportunistic people prey on such weakness) but i don't think he's expecting "praise and babysitting".
Notice that he's not actually complianing to Jeng for the rejection but when Jeng asks him, he merely confides his stress. He's not looking for praise. He doesn't mind when Jeng gives him input (same for the other woman who was helping him before). He just dislikes it when Jeng steps in like in this episode, using an unfinished presentation, or working on the slides himself instead of directing Pat. Still he needs to work on accepting Jeng's inputs better
As for babysitting, lol, but NO. he wants to learn things so that he can be better and work on projects alone. He also doesn't have a team work issues unless it's people like Ying whom he can't handle well as of yet. He is also worried about not bringing the team down (which is why he asks Jeng if he shouldn't be the leader of the Forge project). Babysitting is not his problem AT ALL
tawan🤎winnie~ damn they're cute together. since high school, hunnyyy 😩💪🏼
jaojay💖sitang~ wow, they're good actresses. felt that crying scene and the sofa scene too 🙃 they reduced the age gap a bit and i feel it's more realistic to intern at 22 than 19. doesn't seem to be all that on the office front but i'm set for the fluffy sexy storyline too
pipim💜peeraya~ trust me to fall in love with the couple that doesn't have a confirmed adaptation 😭 they had that big mansion and shit but they still went for the car, not complaining 😊
papie💛jao~ papie gives me soft butch vibes. i liked their dynamic a lot, i almost always dislike upside-down kisses but they make it look so good
The prologue was a little glimpse into what we're going to get and so it seems a bit disjointed but very promising. hope this comes through very well
cannot end this long ass cs without some appreciation for the woman pulling this off, thank you P'Namhom!
