Anyway, with that being said, you should trust MDL ratings. There are dramas I found to be master pieces like The Rise of the Phoenixes and The Rebel Princess but never got that much high rating here, and these are unforgettable.
Objectively, how good is this drama? I haven't started watching yet, but the rating is so high I'm really considering…
I love both leads, the drama is good and you can start watching it or wait for more episodes. The rating is not a true reflection of how great it is so far, as the plot is not yet fully developed that we know the purpose of the story and each character trait.
Something to note, is that this drama is the first to be featured in many networks at once and in sync, so I guess that might be the reason or it might the novel readers who are rating more or it’s what other say that’s it’s rigged or there’s glitch.
With that being said. This director’s dramas turned to be above 8 after finishing. And have highly rated them too, but only after understanding the story and how it’s portrayed.
I do feel this high rating so far, isn’t a true reflection of what we have seen to date, besides people who just rate based on their fantasies of how it is or could be.
We, Esther Yu’s international fans, demand an explanation regarding iQIYI and Tencent Video. It has come to…
I’m no Esther Yu fan or hater, and although I love both leads in this drama, I do agree that something is off about the rating and even mentioned it in the comments below.
But the answer I got was that this rating is per episode which still doesn’t make sense because on the main page you get the overall rating.
I do feel that it’s not a true reflection.
However, I noticed that this drama is the first (if I’m correct) that has been displayed in many networks at the same time, so, that on its own makes it different in that regard.
Again, I do agree that this rating is not a true reflection of the show so far, as we haven’t had yet gotten to the true purpose of it and character traits.
I must say, boycotting it an overreach especially when you involve an actress that is unrelated to the show.

That’s just my opinion. I hope I made sense.
Anyone knows why this scene might be removed: https://x.com/idontceeyou/status/2031241221830582518?s=20 ?
How is this racist also?

Someone coming to watch this show two months later will not be thinking this rating of 9.0 or otherwise is per episode.
They will make a decision based on the rating and comments about the whole show on whether to watch or not.
Isn’t there a different section per episode rating?
Not that the drama isn’t intriguingly good, however, I just think for now the rating is not objective.
