After watching the leads speak about how they prepared one another for the reversal of roles, it became clear that this was their craft, and for that reason I am crediting the actor.

And of course, it is the collective effort of the entire production team that enabled them to execute and enrich their roles.

I don’t think any of us have ever laughed out loud and gladly entertained by shamelessness portrayed by the crown prince before.

Qing Yi’s mother is acting this way out of guilt. First, she failed to realise that the baby she raised was not her own, and subsequently, her biological son suffered immensely because of her.

She is unable to reconcile her guilt with the pain her son endured. She doesn't believe that loving him can compensate for the past; at worst, she feels she has no right to be his mother or to love him at all. She also feels unqualified to apologise, questioning how she could possibly make amends for her son's trauma when she couldn't even distinguish her own child from another.

Ultimately, her anger is not born of hate, but of the profound guilt she carries.

I think you are right, noticed that his defense of him is almost always strategic. Especially when the mother is not there.

Depends on your take of the first 5 episodes. You already wasted almost 5hrs of your time on them and continued to waste it here by typing a comment.

Decide for yourself if it’s worth wasting more of your precious time, than letting others tell you to.
