It was good in the beginning and it went downhill pretty fast, the second lead in this drama was strong and I didn't think i would fall for Siwon's character as much as i did because at the heart of it all i like a character that can fall head first for a woman when she doesn't match the typical decree of beauty.
One of the BEST dramas I have watched at that chemistry between Ji Sung and Jung Em is just simply electric and amazing and since then hope they act in more roles together and was happy when they got another drama to act in so soon. Really recommend this drama really a great drama
This drama shouldn't be watched with the sole interest of the leads (that is my opinion only) because I was left sorely disappointed and not really carrying whether they wanted to be together or not. Instead my focus was with the main lead female the other women that surrounded around her as they tried to become more stable after being released from prison. This show was really good mostly because of the supporting characters and humor was definitely displaced but i stopped around episode 25 or so as it felt that the plot was being dragged out unnecessarily but still a good drama to watch.
I came into this drama with low expectations since everyone already said this drama was crap, so i came into this drama only for the second lead and they were simply so freaking cute and ADORABLE!!!!! Currently watching and skipping full speed ahead only towards parts with their scenes as they have chemistry and I feel that Uee and Sung Joon just don't have that chemistry as i would like. I don't know but Sung Joon is a good actor but his roles as of late has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Idk who are picking these characters for him but it needs to stop.
I really love this drama and this was one of those dramas that had me in a long time wondering: WHO THE HECK IS SHE GOING TO END UP WITH???!!! I love the female lead in this drama Shinohara Ryoko as Sakura and was hoping and praying she would end up with Miura Haruma because the way things were I wasn't sure. But docked a point or two because of the constant replaying of the music (which in certain scenes were not needed) and i guess to dray more laughter, but the show did it perfectly fine all on its own without it.
I loved this drama until the last three or four episodes. This drama was so purely cute and adorable and the leads were just as adorable as anything and everything but i felt that the last three or so episodes were dragging and could have easily wrapped it up in a neat bow a whole lot earlier. I feel like the writers realized they focused way too much on the leads building relationship (which i didn't mind...loved every second of it) and the constant back and forth with the second female lead that they realized we do want Shan Shan to succeed and make her dream come true.
They jam packed it in the last few episodes which made it feel so rushed and sudden that they spent the entire time trying to regroup and repair Shan Shan and Feng Teng relationship every time they had a disagreement or misunderstanding which was in part that Feng Teng didn't COMMUNICATE with her. Sure Shan Shan had her moments of stupidity in all honesty, but the problem came that Feng Teng childhood friend with her dirty handed tricks and his sister with her salty ass comments and actions. If he defended and deflected them in a speedy enough time or at least told her stuff before a third party told her and revealed it to her, things wouldn't have become so complicated.
But overall, I did love this drama and deem it a 8/10 and if it wasn't for the flow of the last three episodes and they just dealt with her being a success early on, this series (despite the lack therof of the main lead not addressing the problems ahead of time) could have been a 10/10 for me, but its a really great drama and I highly recommend.
This drama started everything for me and at the time I would give this a 10/10 because it was just amazing, this was what dramas were? This was what a drama could be? I fell in love head first and didn't look back. Well six years later and after watching it over almost two or three times, can say this series is really a 7/10, being generous as the plot, story, and some of the characters had me pissed off towards the end. Jan Di character was someone i wanted to root for as she was a fiesty bad ass but towards the end she sizzled into a tepid pool of cold water, which usually always happens in dramas. Lee Min Ho was brillant to me in this drama and I fell for his bratty, curly poodle head Joon Pyo and the other F4 did keep in the dynamics of the friendship that was in the manga (but the Japanese version did a better job when it came to their friendship).
I watched this after i watched the Korean version but this....this one is the BEST F4 and best version of the manga Hana Yori Dango (which i also have happened to read years ago). I felt happy that at most they didn't follow the manga to a tee, but really loved that they kept intact what was in the manga which was the friendship and connection of the F4 and that the two leads had such amazing cuteness and adorable chemistry.
One of my first Japanese dramas, and along with the Taiwanese version, these two are literally the best version out of the Hana-Kimi remakes in my opinion. I read the manga and thought it was going to be an exact copy but was happy and surprised that they kept the dynamics of the friendship and relationships with the other students in the dorm but took a detour in the overall story than from the manga. It was a really, really, really great drama and I highly recommend for people who read the manga and don't feel like they are watching line from line what they read or even for people they never read the manga and just wants a really good laugh, because this will surely deliver on it highly.
I have watched this version and the Japanese 2007 version and those two have been the best so far when it came to a drama version of the manga Hana-Kimi. I remember reading the manga years ago and when I watched the Taiwanese version I already knew what to expect but the Taiwanese drama did what the Japanese drama also played on really well which was the humor and boy did they play on it well. People keep calling Ella Chen's character ugly or etc... but to me she has been the only convincing lead of Mizuki being a girl that is infiltrating a boy school and trying to look like a boy.
Plus Jiro Wang's version of Shuichi was freaking hilarious and he played the whole part of him questioning his sexuality when he fell in love with Mizuki, that part was one of the best along with his interactions with Juila felt like the manga version coming to life.
Although the ending was like a big middle finger, overall this drama is a 7/10 but gave it a 7.5 for the laughs it gave me.
The story is cliche and the romance is cheesy but my gosh, Baron and Megan's chemistry was just amazing to watch and it was an overall hilarious drama despite the awkwardness when it came to the second leads, where it felt like a completely different drama but overall just a lighthearted drama where you shouldn't think too much when things might not make complete sense
Idk why I watched this, just was bored and found it on Dramafever and somehow I actually really liked this drama. The twist and turns was what I already expected but I felt like it was done really well where it didn't needlessly drag. Really great drama and really enjoyed
I came into this drama with very, very, very low expectations and was bored out my mind but finished this drama within three days!!! This drama isn't the best and has its flaws and I did tend to skip around when it came to some of the stupidity of the supporting characters and I skipped scenes of the second leads, but at the heart of it all this drama was really, really good namely to Roy Qiu and Tiffany Tang's characters having phenomenal chemistry.
The concept was great but I think maybe most dramas around at the time were too speedy in catching on the craze of time travel. But what happened is that we can't easily slam stick BS and call it a work of art because it came out very, very, very messy and it only was proven by the ratings, comments/criticism, and the eventual dwindling of dramas in time travel. My latter statement proven true as dramas realized alot of thinking and work is needed and that wasn't going to happen when you don't have a consistent or productive writing and directing team.
Marry Him if You Dare was one of the dealings with the time travel phase and didn't know what to do with itself or rather didn't want to offend any of its bases. It didn't want to offend anyone but at the same time wanted to do everything but nothing at all. That is what happened with this trainwreck of a drama.
