Title Refresh Man
I love Refresh Man,but why did they have to do that racist black face thing?I'm really disapointed :/ they really…
I get where you are coming from, but the problem i have is that is not what they are saying. Foreigners are usually looked with sophistication but these are attributed to mostly people of an European background. I mean any time we have an international meeting in most dramas we know its the business when there are "all important" white people. Sorry but not sorry, but when anything that is remotely Black (including, Africans, African-Americans, or people from Caribbean Islands, and etc) we are promoted with the same caricature, dumb, messy, idiots, aggressive, thugs, baby-machines, gangsters, and rude (I have to give credit thought that some dramas are changing that image).

I understand where you are coming from with the skin whitening because from where my parents are from (Nigeria) it is a large issue that spreads like wild fire as most celebrities there are known to do that and they sale it in most stores as well. Tie it in the fact that almost every media out there is promoting such a lighter skin what else is there to show people to love the skin that they're in?

Maybe that is why i got really disappointed because not for one second did i fool myself in knowing how it is, but what hurt was to have it toss once again in your face that you are seen as a threat, as a monster. To have it seen on your own media within your own country but to look at the rest of the world and know that you are viewed like that no less can really be a sucker punch.

Why are people complaining about her being too young. She has talent and before people knew her age they didnt…
Have to agree. I am the last to care about age, as i just say its a number, but when you have a grown MAN with a MINOR...things need to slow down as that becomes way too overboard and too uncomfortable. No matter of it called acting but would it still be the same when that kissing is edged on to something more, and into something further?
On My Lovely Sam Soon May 27, 2016
I think what happened to me with this drama was that i was expecting too much from it. For the longest i heard this was a jewel, a legend in the drama world as one of the best, and it off-topped ratings when it appeared in 2005 and i am not shocked as to why (to a certain extent). But that was the problem, i heard so much good that i thought i was going to a flawless top grade best of the best dramas out there....and that wasn't the case.

Hyun Bin and Kim Sun Ah chemistry on point, acting from supporting characters on point, story on point.....it overall was a great drama....but i left feeling as if i was "missing" something. I felt like the ending still needed the extra "oomph" that drew everyone to it and i didn't see it or feel it when i watched. But nevertheless this was a good drama, made me fall in love with Kim Sun Ah's acting and haven't been able to resist watching her dramas, but felt like too much buzz around this and expectations made this drama fall through the cracks for me.

Wow.....how on Earth after 2 episodes did it get a 6.8? I am not personally going to watch as the story isn't appealing to me and usually stay away from dramas like this but dang to rate it so low when it just begun is a bit unfair.
On Let's Make a New Start May 27, 2016
I was reading that synopsis like damn it sounds good.....then saw 120 episodes and was like DAMN!!!! I'm not against long dramas but this is a stretch as most 16 episode dramas lose their funk after episode 8 or 9. So imagine 120 episodes......but either way this is worth a try.

Completely agree that they might not have been exposed to the issue but it's 2016, and the excuse of ignorance cannot be accepted anymore. The excuse i didn't know cannot be accepted when there is such a wide surface of exposure. But beyond that, its all just being human. What point is it in mocking another person more so a race? What type of humor is it in creating an over the top exaggerated and even hurtful mockery to generate laugh? At the heart even if its not an issue in Taiwan the whole fact that they can mock and degrade a race a group of people for a few laughs and pass that as acceptable is still as wrong as anything. So although I understand where you are coming from, looking at two sides of the coin, i cannot accept or excuse ignorance or racism with where we are now.
On Who Are You: School 2015 May 27, 2016
I usually am the person who rarely catch second lead syndrome,as i always fall for the main lead whether they may have their flaws or there might be no chance that the main lead female and main lead guy has no possibility in being together, i still root for the main lead guy. This wasn't the case. Whether the story didn't built up the story line between Eun Bi and Yi An in being believable or the simple fact that Yook Sunjae did one heck of performance out of Gong Tae Gwang, but I had second lead syndrome and bad. This series felt incomplete because (yes i am gonna whine a lil because my two leads didn't end up together) but more so what this show COULD have been. I stay away from school dramas at times because i just want a mature story line but when i want to relieve those simple days of high school i will tune in once and a while and this caught my attention as it was a thriller and about bullying. But what started on such a fast pace thriller came crumbling down to predictability and annyance that after episode 10 i began fastforwarding.

I agree with a previous comment. there was sooooooooooooooooooo much emphasize on the love triangle than the characters themselves. I felt there was more growth that could have been pulled out of some and for some reason i'm pointing to Yi An. Yes he was Eub Byul's childhood friend, and yes he fell in love with her, but perhaps the way they steered the story in keeping him out of the dark for so long, they deterred him as more the main love interest as he was originally still in love with the lead's sister. Even though i wasn't rooting for them, i didn't feel sold on his love story with Eun Bi or with his character. I felt like we didn't see more than what his character could be aside from the swimming and hints and bits about his struggling background with his father. I felt his love for Eun Byul, but never felt like it translated to Eun Bi, which if they wanted to do, shouldn't he have been told first? Or at most he should have fell for the parts that were Eun Bi and recognize that she wasn't the same? Or showed us he knew she wasn't the same....just something to make it belieavable. But what we got was the fact that the writers derailed things for too long, pinpointed him as the lead, and had to make some type of closure of the love story that they were trying to give him and Eun Bi. Which is a shame as the actor for Yi An was really, really, really amazing and felt like they could have pull even more from his character.

Woah. I haven't expected this shitstorm. For the change we have an experienced actress who actually can act and…
I think what people are haivng a hard time with is the fact that she is a minor or a teenager and he is a grown man. Personally I wouldn't care as an age gap prove for a feat if either actor or actress can be overcome and make it sell, but when you have someone so young (and she is an amazing actress) with someone older in age (although he is really young in appearance for his age) it begs the question how further is it going to go, and how wider the age gap will be and if it will be acceptable for the two leads to act in kiss scenes and more romantic scenes.

It just begs the same problem that exists in most entertainment industry that older actresses usually have an "expiration date".

This drama really seems to split the viewers...they either really like this drama or they dislike it immensely…
Have to agree, this drama had the plot, the actors, and the story and i was like okay here we go i am going to LOVE this.....and was left wondering what went wrong. I really do love the show, but i had to tone down my brain when it came to reasoning and questioning why the characters were acting and behaving the way they were. Plus the synopsis had me believe the two would be together, married, and secretly plotting in going behind the bad guys and slowly cutting them down.

But what went wrong here was a lack of good directing and writing. We see when writing fails, or when there is a good story but the direction isn't there but combined that with a director that can't help maintain a natural flow or momentum of a story due to a nonexistent storyboard, then you get sloppy indecision of characters, unnatural or nonexistent character development, and a slop of disappointment.

This show had such great actors, I was tuning in for Moon Chae Won, but Kim KAng Woo amazed me at his acting. Although his character didn't feel as nit gritty dirty and his sudden change wasn't really that believable, he made it sale (for me) with his solid acting.

The chemistry between Black and Swan was there, but it felt so AWKWARD, like i was intruding onto scenes that i wasn't supposed to be there as they did alot of things behind cameras that i didn't know about and it was the reason why specifically Black fell in love with Swan, as Swan's feelings felt more natural while Black's turn of emotions felt really off.

I think this show tried to be a revenge thriller but realized it couldn't handle it and instead played on the corruption push and pull in a company. it would have been great....if i signed on to watch a show like that.

i didn't, i wanted a show where the hero would be kicking butts and taking names while the heroine will humanize him from going over the edge into a full blown killer. But instead they couldn't do that because things have already gone hilter kilter.

I feel sad and angry at the fact of what this show could have been.

This show is just filled with fuzziness of happiness, nostalgia, and laughter. Its the show where it might not pull everything off perfectly but at the heart of it all with the characters, their bond and friendship...its just beautiful. Glad i stopped myself from watching and now marathoning all the episodes....hehe

Doing such a great job on Back to 1989, knew he was something to watch after to the dearest intruder and said to myself he needs to be a lead on a show, less than a month later found out he was and currently watching (and loving) his current drama.

Okay, it's true that this drama isn't perfect, actually is far from it, but... why just 7.8?? I think this drama…
Completely agree this drama has its flaws but is really a great drama with a hilarious cast, characters haven't acted out of the norm, and has been a solid plot despite the awkwardness in some of the directing.

I dropped this from lack of time but want to pick it back up because it wasn't a bad drama and doesn't really deserve the rating that it has. The only thing i dislike is her hair and i am someone that don;t judge a character or actor/actress based on her hair but it was disturbing. but i appreciate that she was willing to cut her own hair to set the tone for her character shows commitment as an actress imo.
