I was interested in this drama and the synopsis i first read was completely different where the second female lead was going to be a real thorn on our leads side. instead it was with the writers and directors trying to try a new experimental and unexpected idea of having the second lead win the girl but dun dun dun did it work.....NOPE! Reason being the leads had such strong chemistry but I wanted them together for the simple fact he treated the female lead without prejudice before her makeover when she was an ugly duckling while the second lead just saw her as a friend and wasn;t (in my opinion) too kind in the way he treated her. But then again the writers and directors wanted to be "radical". I continued with this drama because of Chris Wu as someone mentions he plays a man in love so, so, so so well.
Love, love, love him such a fantastic actor and love him so much in Waking Love Up....his chemistry with Tiffany Tang.....idk about his last drama but will give it a try cuz he's in it.
Oh how I love love love this drama and wished the last seven episodes could have been taken away and revamped. I wished they kept this drama strictly a school drama and not to add in elements from the outside or grownup world as this drama was excelling on its strength of being a story of a poor but wacky and fiesty girl falling in love with the rich jerky boy. But Liu bing isn't like most leads, not necessarily a jerk and is pretty smart and use his head when it comes to situation that would usually take most characters forever in solving. This drama would have instantly become a favorite as the first 23 episodes already had it self within that grasp, but the last seven the last seven botched it up.
But on the plus side Pets Tseng and Sam had such amazing chemistry that was really cute and adorable to even borderline sexy at points and felt like it could have crossed that bridge for a school drama in being sexy. I hope they will act together in another drama.
To be honest the story isn't all that great and the female lead began to annoy me as her ex came into the picture but I did love Megan and Roy's chemistry. Puff made it sooooooo easy for me to hate her that it was such a contrast from her role in Just You. But overall this was a good drama especially with the side characters such as Luo Si Yi's mother and sister were just hilarious and loved Tia in this as the bff. I recommend this drama if you are just bored and in need of a drama to watch until the next one comes around.
I liked it even though at times the lead was annoying at times but i did fall for her character but after a while, just dropped it as the story didn't hold me as strongly as it did in the beginning.
the leads were okay...for me but i didn't watch for them but more so the supporting characters and for the female lead in finding her brother and father and for the evil stepmother sister to get caught for their deeds.
I hope she acts in more dramas, after Princess Man fell in love with this girl's acting and love her currently in Goodbye Mr. Black, doing such a wonderful and phenomenal job
I have to agree with Coffee Prince and Master's Sun, never watched the other two dramas but will give the Lover a shot but heard about how God's Gift ended and don't want a broken tablet.
Years later and this hasn't left being my BEST drama ever. The love, the passion, and the melo, my God the melo this drama exhibited....absolutely love this drama to pieces.
It is ok to dislike some dramas because it is a matter of personal preference, i dropped a lot of popular dramas…
I loved BOF only because it was my first but agree with your other choices all my friends loved loved City Hunter but i just couldn't. Playful Kiss (the korean version) was just a trainwreck of a girl insanely in love with a boy and i felt like the korean version really didn't portray the characters as they should.
I understand how you feel and usually find myself on the train of not understanding why some dramas are so insanely popular and usually when i try to give a clear cut opinion of my disinterest i feel like i might be attacked or receive negative votes (on other websites).
That being said I actually did like two of the series You who came from the stars and Master's Sun but it I did so almost months or even years after the fact because i usually remain skeptical of popular dramas as they are usually overhyped and usually just plain sucks.
I am going to be honest that the reason why I personally continued was because of Jung Kyung Ho though his character in the first two episodes were perfect the right amount of arrogrance, badassness, and not giving a F*** was perfect to me but he was still just as awesome later on.
This drama isn't a bad drama but the female lead at times frustrated me with how long she fell for him that in all honesty I don't think she really and truly fell in love with him. It felt more so that Min Ho went above and beyond, his cuteness, and adorable nature in going above and beyond in helping and convincing Sun Jeong of his feelings after a while became tiring and annoying but i kept it up because Jung Kyung Ho made Min Ho so freaking lovable and u just wanted to root for him.
But plot wise there were some holes and the ending.....at the time i tried to find consolidation or some sense of conclusion but after watching it back the ending was kind of disappointing.
So long story short I would watch it if you aren't able to find anything else to watch and if u like Jung Kyung Ho.
