Title Good Time
My goodness! Whats wrong with this drama!! It had so much potential and the plot was also interesting but why…
No I don't think that is it alone...its more so with C-dramas they have so many episodes to fill that at times they can get a bit draggy (this happens with any drama whether Kdrams, Tdramas, and etc...) Its either they start slow and buildup to a more fast paced type of drama where things start to get out of place and don't wrap up with much sense or they start fast and the producers and writers realize they need to make a 40-50 episode drama and then fillers start happening. I don't know much with this drama as it wasn't my thing after 1 episode and the subtitles were taking too long to come out (and when it did still didn't catch my interest) but that is usually what happens.

This looks cliche as hell. Is it any good?
no problem ;-D

An actor who really needs that one good popular show to give him the breakout and recognition he deserves. I just can't forget him on King Flower and how he carried that trainwreck of a drama and acted his pants off which was the only saving grace of that show. He really have the acting chops, just hope he gets that breakout role he needs. all the best

I kinda watched and stopped with this drama not because it was bad, just got busy with school but it wasn't a bad drama.....more so its an okay drama....only reason I am going to try it again is because of Chris Wu, because he makes it so easy to hate his character but he is so good at what he does. The female lead is okay but i like her pessimistic best friend who tells her the truth and is honest with her. Its an okay drama and is short (for a taiwanese drama 16 episodes are short) so its not too bad....

What a perfect article!!!! Thank you for it....and lol at the points people made for not watching, just a simple I don't like it should be enough instead of coming up with some of the stupidest excuses for not liking Jdramas. I'm not bias to a specific country of dramas as I have been exposed to different countries and their dramas so i know off the bat one country might be stronger in one point and weak in the other hence why i don't compare/contrast and instead just go along for the ride.

The reason why I personally love Jdramas is that they will sometimes be extremely outlandish and hilarious or really deep and thought provoking and realistic on human nature and etc...or just both. Their comedy or hilarity is something so unique that I can't really describe it..... I guess more so even in the most ridiculous plot or situation Jdrama writers go with it and commit. I mean for example it can be a spin off from a game, anime, or even a made up plot and if it devulge into the strange and insanity, Jwriters aren't afraid to go for it and commit to it. When it comes to evoking realism, they make their characters so flawed but not off the end of not being realistic, not perfect people at all. At times I hate the leads, sometimes i hate the characters but its not because the writer betrayed them as the crazy psycho or b&*#$% secondary lead so we don't root for them, but because their human characteristics and actions makes you despise them or at the very least hope that they might learn and redeem themselves from it and grow.

The male eye candy is all about the taste. For me i prefer someone who can act and keep me compelled and convinced that they are selling and have sold their character to me. A pretty face who cannot act one lick won't go very far for me and I will drop a drama for it.....but hey that's just me.

When it comes to the colors, the acting, and etc....I think when the character might seem too zany, crazy, or even over the top most of the shows are directly piggyback off a spinoff of whatever media they're trying to make a liveaction out of. Sometimes its just to emphasize the character within itself (I mean Kdrama sure have a fill of female leads as such and so as in other countries female leads).

The lack of romance is something I can understand as to why most people might be turned away. I am ahard romantic myself and I go into a drama watching romance and loving the more it pile on. However, when Jdramas do have romance, they do potray it in a cute and adorable extreme or take it on a realistic and mature act that people in everyday life engage in. However, I don't watch Jdramas just for the romance specifically, its more so for the laughs or just to see a manga i love come to life onscreen so I'm not that hesistant in watching something if it catches my eye.

And the shortness of the dramas are something that most countries need to catch on. I'm being sincere that sometimes when Taiwanese dramas have more than 15 episodes, they get lost in their direction and the show is filled with so many fillers, character acting out of character, noble idiocy, and stupidity abound. Chinese dramas are guilty of this when they drag it to almost 30 sometimes 40 episodes where they begin to drag the last half with the same old same old nonsense.....(looking at Return of Happiness and the Interpreters on this one). That is one thing I love with Jdramas, things are wrapped up by 11-12 episodes and even if the drama might not have been as good as in the beginning, you won't feel too bad that you wasted 11 hours of your life instead of sitting through a trainwreck for 20+ hours.

Sorry for the long post....but it was a really great article:-D!!!

I don't really like Park Shin Hye, but I definitely need to watch it for Ji Soo! I hope his storyline will be…
Completely agree. I fell for Ji Soo since his previous dramas hopefully he gets a lead role some time soon.

This guy....needs to be a lead somewhere....he made me fall for him in Sassy Go Go that its not even funny......good luck on upcoming drama "Doctors"

Didn't think this was going to be a full extended drama....thought the female lead was suppose to star in another drama airing in fall??? Maybe I'm wrong... Jang Hyuk...loved him so much in fated to love you....but dramas now a days have been disappointing with only a few hits....hoping this and some of the dramas coming out are going to be good.

Seems like an okay drama, the first episode wasn't bad but wasn't great, but the dubbing.....I'm used to Chinese dramas with the dubbing and usually don't care but its like almost every SINGLE character is dubbed and it is so freaking obvious.......but i want to give it a try maybe more so when things calm down from school.

I had a feeling this what would have happened and I stopped watching on episode 17. I got too pissed, way too pissed at Jia Meng (both the character and strangely bordering onto the actor's poor ability in acting) and his obsession with Qiao Fei that I knew I wouldn't last for 30 more episodes. And based on everyone's response even through the suffering it doesn't pay off or reward us with a satisfying ending. I rather not waste 30 more hours of my life and rather quit while I'm ahead.

Their French tough xD It's not THAT bad, but for somebody who says he's so perfect, Jia Yang's French makes me…
Oh....you thought they were speaking any of that? Its all dubbed. Every last one of them.....i even make a game to pinpoint when they dub it because, sadly, its that obvious. I'm not expecting them to be able to speak French (though it would have been awesome) but just try to make the dubbers voice emote more because when they come on u can tell its such a difference between them and the actor's/actress's voice.

Jia Ming......the worst he is not just a straight up jerk and is heartless when it comes to women (but he does tell them he is a jerk and isn't seriously pursuing them) he is nothing but a straight up delusional stalker! I was watching from episode 14 and had to stop at episode 17 because his creepiness, craziness, and self-entitlement was and is too much to handle. I can deal with the standard drama cliches and tropes as i have a finger and i know how to fastforward it out of there. But what i cant stand is when this arse of a man have to ruin great moments and create misunderstandings. Not sure if its worse that the actor himself is not that great of an actor or just point blank this guy's character is such a jerk.

I didn't understand why this drama had so much hype at the time, but after marathoning it for the past three days,…
He was awesome sauce in that drama, but i dropped it personally as I had a really bad case of second-lead syndrome but the plot lost track in the second half of the show (like in most dramas) but even worse they pulled out the amnesia card. I can handle it in most cases but....but no......

didn't Ok Nyeo's mother leave a pin along with the two rings ? where is it ?
That's what everyone on viki was asking, maybe it got lost, maybe the "adopted" father hid it, or who knows maybe he sold it

Currently on episode 4, Da Bin did such a wonderful job that it was so strange to see her switch over to the adult version because i got so used to her playing Ok Nyeo, but either way this is a really good drama and so far i am liking the adult version of the female lead

This is also one of my favourite dramas and a really good novel adaptaton..there are so few of them... I watched…
That is the weirdest thing though I felt Tiffany Tang had some of the best kiss scenes was when she was acting with Roy Qiu (not sure if it was due to them dating at the time) in the drama Waking Love Up. I like her....she isn't an amazing actress but she isn't horrible. I feel she has chemistry with her lead males but sometimes the acting....just sometimes fall short on her part (Lady and Liar prime example, Hawick was oozing such much charisma and sexiness.....).

Thanks for the review and this along with Boss and Me were some of my first Chinese dramas.....I found the director's cut on viki and it was only four episodes and I was completely confused until i realized there was more episodes and binged-watch it over three days. He Yi Chen was ammmmmmaaaazzzzziiiinnnnnnggggggg........screw that they both were but it was mainly him or the actor wallace chung potrayal of him that just really had me hang on. His anger in the beginning at her was obvious he was still in love with her and just plain frustration at how things ended, then them getting back together, and i love the simple fact that he never jumped to conclusions. I hate, hate, hate, hate, and i mean utterly hate when leads jump to conclusions and misunderstandings in dramas and thankfully i was spared from all that with He Yi Chen who always had a plan ahead or though ahead or just simply freaking ASKED! But more so I love this drama because of the characters, He Yi Chen's friends were awesome sauce along with Mosheng and her friend (can't remember her name) who hooked up with her coworker....this series was just amazing because things didn't feel so far-fetched and even though you know its a drama it just felt so realistic and simple at the same time

Me too, I get it was because of the leads chemistry....but I seriously fell for Shin Sung Rok, he never made crazy so freaking crazy......i wish he would be a lead in a drama because they teased me in Trot Lovers when his character was so intriguing but there was no point as he wasn't going to be the lead. Also fell hard for Park Hae Jin's acting.
