I don’t think that councillor Park will remain in power; on ep15 preview when Lady Yoo said: I will keep him in check; they are both in plain clothes and it seems they are outside the palace. He might resign so his people can live. Councillor Park said I will give the King what he wants meaning allowing the Sarim faction to be officials; to me that means he has a plan. He might be the person that reveals Lady Yoo true identity, We can see the Sarims officials bowing to her on the preview. If so she will have some political power and doesn’t need Councillor Park protection. She is the one that will be steering the king away from a bloody purge; she told him will you have the Queen Dowager assassinated? I think she will make the king see sense and do things by the law. It is a slippery slope when you start killing. I am pretty sure the Queen Dowager will be deposed if Councillor Park said he will get it done. Lady Yoo still believes in the King that’s why she told the Queen Dowager that his majesty is nothing like her. These of course are only speculations. On the preview I wonder who that lady being dragged in the palace is? The whole drama started with the consequences of Councillor Park actions and his current actions might be what will end it all. I hope the finale will not disappoint.

The most disappointing part is Lady Cho (yet again) getting away with it and she thinks that she has done nothing wrong. Her entitled attitude makes me want to🤮. I hope that before the end we can have some retribution and a strong punishment for having Ddong killed. Her character is vile.

I do hope that the Chief eunuch and Lady Cho are severely punished for what they did; they are both despicable characters; I hate how Lady Cho thinks of servants as less than livestock. That’s the big difference between the two Ladies; people are willing to die for Lady Park. There is no redemption for the Queen Dowager and no way out. The King played with her feeble mind and her fear of being abandoned by PGW after all she did for him , turned her into a monster. Lady Park might not forgive the King for the loss of life once she understand his plan; she dislikes people being sacrificed to achieve a goal; she risked her life to try to save her maid. I think once Lady Park real identity is revealed she will probably get political support from the Sarim scholars; her father faction. The fight for power is still in full swing.

He plays the villain/hero; a complex character.

It will be interesting it’s an open game. The insane Queen will not give up she has gone to far with no place to retreat. I hope Ddong doesn’t die.

Probably in the next episodes the fight for power will develop; I hope that the ending whether is tragic or happy will not disappoint. I personally think the end is the most difficult part of a drama and can ruin it. 🤞🏼

This drama is so refreshing; so far so good, no scheming women trying to ruin one another or talking like babies. 🤮The leads have great chemistry and approach situations in a mature way. It’s great.

All the cards have now been revealed but still 4 episodes to go, there must be an other twist. We don’t know how the battle for power will develop and who will align themselves with whom. I feel sorry for Lady Cho father ; in order to protect his dim witted daughter he probably will become a traitor. I wonder if the bamboo village will be instrumental in the fight, it was mentioned that the new governor of their territory hates nobles; there must be some relevance otherwise why mentioning it? It could be someone trump card? I hope Lady Park is really pregnant and that it is not a ploy to buy time and stay alive; her court lady said that things looked bad and she will find a way out. It looked like she had morning sickness. Looking forward to episode 13.

The actress that portrays Lady Cho is doing a marvellous job; her character is so despicable I want to hurt her (figuratively speaking of course).

Who is Siwol and what is his significance? When Lee Tae spoke to eunuch Jung he said any answer? To which Jung reported that Siwol said: it is a question too difficult to answer and so Lee Tae said if I miss this opportunity I will have to wait for the stars to align again. This implies some kind of planning. The go board has some meaning; Lady Yoo looked at it with understanding. I think white piece left on it represents Councillor Park it seem to be so if we follow the layout of the officials that stand in front of the King during the palace court sessions. Ep 12 will be interesting especially now that PGW and the Queen Dowager are on opposite sides. He was looking at her with fury; his own creation turning against his beliefs. Looking forward to the developments.

Councillor Park has created a monster; he has created the tyrant he was scared of. The Queen Dowager has completely lost her marbles. Karma

I keep on thinking about that monk; what about if he was planted by Lee Tae, didn’t the monk say to the Queen Dowager that a relative was coming and that this relative was going to be sent away? I though it was Lee Tae who ordered his return on the first place. Could it be a plan devised to divide the coalition between the Queen Dowager and PGW.? I can’t wait for Monday to come.

Lee Tae knows what those two have been up to and you are right ; in the preview it looks like his demeanour is threatening; Lady Cho expression is frightened and he said that he will cherish her because he needs her father. The cherish sounded like a veiled threat. She is a reckless fool; even her father recognises it.

That’s my hope as well, but whatever the writer has planned it will be a surprise. I am just a bit worried about Ep 11 Lee Tae blood from the mouth scene I just hope that the Queen Dowager and Lady Cho are not framing Lady Yoo with poisonings like they did with her father.

Yes and the next move looks like a stalemate; he knows that the Queen Dowager and Lady Cho are involved in the attempted assassination but if he takes the Queen Dowager down he has to take Lady Cho down as well, so he can’t because he needs her father’s help and therefore he will not move. I wondered about the blood from his mouth during the rain ritual; he surely can’t die as many people said he his a main character.

I think Lee Tae character has evolved greatly; don’t forget that he was shackled and not allowed to rule. Since he has chosen the path to be with Lady Yoo he has shown some strength. Her influence on him is beneficial; she once told him that the royal family doesn’t serve the people and treat them like fools and that the people only serve rice. Therefore lately he took it upon himself to get to know his people and understand their plight. The scene with him helping the farmers is proof; he is not like his father or his tyrannical uncle he wants to be a good king and protect his people. That is way she said yes to become his Queen. Having said all that Lady Yoo is also my fav character; she is so clever and strong. I despise the female characters often portrayed in Asian dramas (like Lady Cho) full of schemes and jealousy wanting to get rid of the FL , but, I suppose without them there would be no drama. The Queen Dowager since the monk meeting is loosing her marbles; she has lost all rationally and she is plotting to get rid of Lady Park just in case she conceives a son. She was given a way out but burned the palanquin? What is she after? She would make a terrible ruler she has no idea of the suffering of the people outside the palace and she doesn’t want to know either.

Anything is possible in this drama. 😊

I think the snippet in preview 11 with Lady Cho looks more like Lee Tae is threatening her; she looks worried and frightened. He has obviously discovered her involvement with the attempted assassination of Lady Park. Her character is so dense and reckless even her father recognises that.

The most intriguing character is the mysterious monk; what is his game? Sometimes I think could he be part of Lee Tae plan? It is interesting how the go board that Lee Tae plays has changed; there is only one white piece left and by the placement of the officials at the palace it represents PGW. Could the monk be instrumental in taking down both the Queen Dowager and PGW? We shall see; whatever the outcome it will be unexpected.
