That's kinda sad cuz you can tell that the ending wasn't rushed because of poor writing skills but probably because the production/TV program wouldn't allow more. The director really tried to make the most out of every second they had which is why it's so intense all the way to the end and it makes it so frustrating.
My advice for this one: If you wanna watch it, first convince yourself that this is the worst drama you'll ever watch. Then put your brain aside. Then enjoy.
I'm still standing on my last comment, but after finishing it I have to say I'm surprised everyone disliked the ending. I think it made sense. Of course I was sad for Mhok but I also think it was the healthiest way to deal with their relationship.
Now that was an episode!!!! I've felt invested in this show from the beginning, but episode 6 was my latest reminder…
I agree with you, I also think everyone's character is so well balanced especially Kaori. I'd like to add that I really appreciated it when she asked Kazuaki to be the one to break up with her. I don't know if that's exactly what the director was thinking, but my interpretation is that Kazuaki has been waiting for so long, hoping that the things he wanted would come to him without him having to fight for them. So by asking him to actively break up with her, Kaori is in a way pushing him to stand up for what he needs and to stop just hoping for things to change, and at the same time take responsability for his actions. I really liked that scene.
Opinion respected, you can hate Day's character. But bro, your rant about him is obviously you don't understand…
I don't hate him, but yeah I guess I don't understand him fully. But what I'm mostly trying to say is that I don't get the writer's choice to go against their own character's wish not to be pitied by constantly putting him in a victim position, that's it.
The worst crime of this series is not that it’s nonsensical, but that it’s boring. Campiness, if well done,…
I agree with you for most of it except for Only friends, I actually quite liked it cuz it was a mess but it was controlled and the way Jojo portrayed it made sense, at least to me.
It's actually funny cuz like two weeks ago, I was thinking that the heart killer's plot was pretty bad and I wanted to watch a serie where I'd have more chances to enjoy the plot, so I thought to myself "Hey, since I enjoyed OF so much I should go check out who's the director and look up what other show they've made" and turns out it was Jojo lol so I guess it really just comes down to taste.
I generally agree with all the critiques I've seen on these comments already regarding the plot and pace of the story, but I'd like to add something I didn't see anyone mention: I was a bit disapointed that they didn't make more use of Bison's BD*M k*nk. It was there at the beginning and I loved it, loved even more the parallel when Bison was imagining killing Kant after he knew he was betrayed, but then they just dropped it even tho it was introduced as a quite big point in their relationship. I would have loved a scene on the island where Bison would be like "I'm forgiving you but I'm still bitter so now you're gonna suffer *wink wink*", or a scene where Kant actually learns to enjoy it since all that time he was kind of faking it to get on Bison's good side. I don't mean they should have made it a main element of the story, but the way they did it made me feel like they added that small spice to the story only to attract audience with spicy shots in the trailer.
I'm only on episode 9 so far but I thought I'd leave a comment before the last 3 episode cuz everyone is saying it's a master piece but that it goes down from that point. Am I really the only one who dislikes Day's character? He is so immature, bad tempered and genuinely cruel with Night, which I would tolerate if it was any other character but then comes the core of the story: I'm not disabled myself, but all my disabled friends and the disable people I hear stories from on the internet always say the same thing: they are not victims, and they don't want people to treat them as such. Even Day says it at his birthday party. Yet, this show completely victimizes him. There so many scenes where he is like "bouhouhou my dad left me bouhouhou I cannot leave my room bouhouhou it's my brother's fault I'm like this" etc etc and he is always causing a scene no matter where he goes or what he do (Like when he basically throws himself on the ground when Night's friends show up. That really came out of nowhere, he was sitting just fine before that) So even though he says himself that he doesn't want pity, I feel like the entire show is screaming at my face LOOK! A BLIND MAN! HOW SAD RIGHT? CRY FOR ME! And from what I've read it gets even worse at the end lol. How disapointing.
I really love the heart killers but I don't like the dialogues and the rythm, something seems off sometimes. On the other hand I loooove Only Friends and I think the writing and making was awesome, So I went to check who the director/screenwriter was so I could check out his other works.... Turns out it's the same guy who did both lol. Still, I think he's an awesome director and his posts on twitter are super funny
That "Answer me!" brought me back to OF, when he was again angry. Sign me up!
Yeah. After seeing the preview I'm a bit scared he will get over it too quickly because it would be a shame to rush the redemption phase but at the same time I cannot wait for him to be all cute again
I do think that would be a nice closure, but then I actually really love the way the portray reality too, that…
Yup, just watched the special ep this morning. I hadn't watched it when I posted this comment. I was a bit disappointed that they did not even mention it in the final episode, so I'm glad they tried in the special ep, as well as the small moment Jin considers talking back to his mom. Even without closure, I wanted them at least to mention it so that it didn't seem like waste. Still, Haruki's father was such an important aspect of the story, so I wish they had gone a bit more over that topic
I loved it lol it was so fun for no reason! The FL's acting was sooo on point but the guys was definitely not it tho. Also I knew it was 18+ but I was NOT ready for those d**ks close shots lmao even censored I was covering my eyes most of the time.
Well, that final episode just as sweet as I had hoped for. I'm a bit disapointed they didn't go deeper than that tho: they get back together and everything's good. I would have loved to see Minase introducing Hirukawa officially as his boyfriend to his friends who had always been so judgemental of him, and face his mother about all the unspoken issues they had. I would have wanted Hirukawa to tell his mother about his abusing father too. They built up a lot of drama but didn't really put a conclusion to it and unfortunately as the two next episodes will be special ones, I doubt they will go over it. Never the less I cannot wait to see what they got left for us!
Best worst drama I ever watched lmao
