As someone who's read the manga, this drama isn't perfect, the scenario is not that exciting and the characterization is a bit all over the place... but I still love it because THANK GOD Jin (junya) doesn't r#pe Akin (takato) half of the time like he does in the manga. The people here who haven't read the manga have NO IDEA how disgusting of a character Jin originally is and what a horrible story they're dodging.

I knoooow right!! I was thinking just the same thing about Gawin's character. I didn't expect much of this serie so I don't mind much the whole casually cute romance (tho I'm still disapointed they took that turn instead of sticking to a more thriller/hot scenario), but I absolutely despise how Gawin is acting. It's defnitely not a skill issue, the director probably wanted him to act that way but I think it doesn't suit him at all, I kinda feel like I'm watching Noeul in Gawin's body

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but in the manga Jin is much more agressive and forces himself on Akin the first few times they have sex (like he knows Akin actually wants it but still Akin is strongly pushing him away each time) so if they limit it to a kiss in the drama, I'd be glad lol.

Yeah I thought the same but more for Daon than Sunghyeon, poor kid is just trying to keep his life together and everywhere he goes there're 3 dudes who keep swinging him from left to right, he cannot catch a breath.
Haven't read the Manwha but my guess is that the autor's take on this one is that Daon deserves someone who is a 100% green flag and who will show him what healthy love is, hence he'll probably end up straight away with Sunghyeon

I've been also looking for good BDSM dramas and haven't found the perfect one yet, but here are a few I've watched.
The heart Killers (Thai drama): The main couple has BDSM intercourse but neither really has that "submissive" trait. Still one of the best Bdsm representation i've seen in dramas.
Big Dragon (Thai drama): It's not the center of the story but the main character is a masochist
Mood indigo (Jap drama): Not BDSM but the love interest has a strong sumbissive personnality
Dangerous drug of sex (Jap movie): Has some bdsm elements but be cautious with this one, it's mostly noncon and quite violent

Actually, when I watched ITSAY, I loved it mostly for how it was filmed in a way that allowed us to feel fully for the characters and kept us on edge about every single movement they made. Then, when IPYTM came out, it was a different director and all the sudden all the mess was way less interesting or enjoyable.
Gelboys is also my fav BL of 2025 so far but I feel like if it had been a different director, I wouldn't have been half as invested as I am now.

I don't feel called out cuz I'm not a teenager anymore but I get what you're saying 100% and I really enjoy that unperfect, childish but pure aspect of love and relationships.
And the way it's filmed too makes you feel like you're actually being there with them cuz the camera really takes the time to catch every single small expression and move that they take. I found it funny that it's realistic to the point where they ask chat GPT for love advices lol

It's funny cuz ArcArm's story was a chaotic, classic romance bullshit with communication problems, YothaGun's story was a violent emotional rollercoaster, and FaifaWine are just out there being cute and yet they're the ones I'm the most invested in

I can imagine them in the following months, Po saying over and over "Come on, we'll REALLY watch the movie this time! We can't keep skipping the 'netflix' in 'netflix and chill' every single time!" And William being like "Alright, I promised"
And then they skip it again lol

I'm kinda mad at how they handled this one.
Like everyone, I think it's super stupid to kill a main character in a special episode, but I won't say more about it because I haven't seen it yet so I'll wait before judging.
What I cannot comprehend though is how there is no international release. Like, it's not nice, but it would have been fine if the ep was just a little quirky and cute bonus to the story. But with such an important turn of events, you cannot let the entire world get spoiled by the dozen of lucky ones who got to see it in theatre.
I'm not mad a character died, I'm mad I had to learn about it through insta spoilers and was left wondering what the fuck happened without even having a releasing dateto look forward to.
Now I feel betrayed by the scenario AND the production team
