Shit starting to get serious and I'm so here for it! Episode 7 literally had me at the edge of my seat. You could feel the stress rising and betrayal kicking in as if you're stuck in this whole mess of a situation with them. This drama is way too good to go unnoticed. Acting is top-tier.
No offence but the last line that you mentioned, ‘good drama with a good plot backed by solid writing’ IS…
"It's a good drama with a good plot, backed up by good acting." is literally the bare minimum. Apparently people's K-Drama standards are way too low nowadays. As I've said, it's only "good", nothing too "great" or "outstanding" about it to be THIS overhyped. I'm not trying to stop people from loving it or anything, I even enjoyed it myself but we gotta be a bit honest here. It really is just a "good" watch. I would neither anticipate a sequel nor watch again.
This drama really grew on me. Honestly, I wasn't so attached to it at the first couple of episodes but now I'm kinda sad to part ways with it because it feels as if it's incomplete yet. I wanted to see more of their relationships and friendships. Truth be told, I feel like people are overhyping this drama a little bit too much and there's nothing wrong with that but there's actually nothing extraordinary about it at all. It's a good drama with a good plot, backed up by good acting. A solid 7.5.
I'm not trying to ruin the mood or anything but pregnancy is something couples should definitely discuss before marriage. I understand where Dong Seok's desire to have a baby is coming from but I don't like the way he's pressuring Kwang Sook into it. I also don't really understand the point of these extra filler episodes. Do they just want to encourage people to have kids because of Korea's declining birth rate? Should've wrapped up at episode 50 as previously planned.
No but seriously what is this drama even about? Because we're already 4 episodes down and I still can't grasp a solid plot or a distinct storyline. It's also too weak to be even considered a slice-of-life.
Also, I wouldn't wish LDW's haircut in this drama on my worst enemy. It gets uglier the more I stare at it.
Started out mid, got teeny-tiny bit better in the middle, ended horribly. That final episode was an absolute joke. It's when you start writing a fanfiction, get a writer's block, and don't know what to do with yourself or how to end your ridiculous creation. I legit felt secondhand embarrassment for the writers and makers.
What exactly runs in the family? Did the same thing happen to JiEun's mom? Did I miss something? Thought it was just a magical thing because of the tarot card. 🤔
It keeps getting messier and messier in the best and most hilarious way possible. What I love about this drama is that none of them is actually trying to be funny, but this whole mess of a situation and the number of people involved is legit peak satire. Even the fight scenes are hella entertaining and funny. One of the very few dramas that I'm actually enjoying. I've lost all hope on the validity of MDL ratings.
