Wow! Never seen karma strike THIS hard THAT fast in a K-Drama before. Ji Hyeok needed that wake-up call for the sake of character development.
I totally understand the way he's thinking and the life he aspires to have, BUT he just has a huge problem with the way he "says" things. Just like how he rejected Eun Oh, he hurt his parents the same way. Knowing how sensitive his father is after retirement, he should've at least explained things a little bit nicer not to destroy what's left of his father's pride.
Also, he has the audacity to accuse Seong Jae of "abandoning" him when he was THE ONE who pushed him away first. He didn't even ask him to be his Best Man. He took all the people around him for granted and hurt them with his words left and right instead of just reaching out for help when he was at his lowest. Ji Hyeok dug his own grave, now he needs to lie in it.
I stood up and applauded for Eun Oh. I was so proud of her. Go, girl! Get your bag and get a man who truly sees your worth. She's a lot more likable now that she has gotten over her delulu phase.
I can see that Seong Jae is already making a move on Eun Oh, I screamed. Bro has no time to waste. Hehe (^ω^)
However, I feel like they won't end up together. I don't know, it's just a hunch. Since the very first episode, I felt that there would be something between Seong Jae and Su Bin (Ji Hyeok's sister). He fits perfectly into her dream boyfriend criteria. And the way she asked him to model for her tells me they might get together in the long run and I kinda ship it, they're cute together. We'll see.
The acting is good and the story is getting interesting. I'm already seeing character development as well. I'm enjoying it!
I know them people be dying for attention. Just ignore them petty beings. They could've written a separate comment to discuss their opinion but they sadly live off the ragebait. Sad empty life..
Episode 6 was extremely painful to watch. This drama is so good, yet too real and depressing. Definitely not for the weak. Like I'm seriously too distressed to watch episode 7 at the moment, I need to wait a few days.
I'm only halfway through but I know I'll certainly rewatch this drama when it gets an official translation. Everyone's acting is great, even the smallest roles are perfectly delivered. Amazing cast and praise-worthy scriptwriting and direction.
I feel like Seong Jun did that because of his mom's lack of faith in him. I guess that's what favoritism between siblings does to the kids. They develop anxiety and low self-esteem, which puts them under immense pressure and causes them to mess things up just to "prove" they're "worth" it. Poor Seong Junnie, he literally looked like a cute puppy getting his hair dried. :(
Seon Jae trying his hardest but still failing each and every task and plan he's been given over the span of 4 years is so funny to me. He's only good at strutting around the office hands in pockets and everything.
I agree with everything you said, except I do sort of wish for Eun O(h) and Seong Jae to get together and leave…
Awh.. No need to be sorry at all. I really enjoyed reading your reply. 💖
I've actually thought of the same thing as you. At first, I wanted Seong Jae and Eun Oh to get together because he seems to really love and care for her. But seeing how Eun Oh is basically obsessed with Ji Hyeok made me feel sorry for Seong Jae. I feel like he deserves someone better than Eun Oh. Someone who truly loves him because even if they get together it'd feel like a rebound relationship. I don't think Eun Oh could easily get over Ji Hyeok. That girl is so far gone.
As for Ji Hyeok, he seems to have a complex reserved character. He doesn't speak his mind and doesn't explain his actions to people around him, so I don't really understand his character. He seems to carry a heavy burden though, which shaped his entire stoic personality. I actually think it's good that he rejected Eun Oh because I feel that if they had gotten together, he would've eventually broken her heart. Let's see what that suspicious marriage proposal has in store for him.
Our Golden Days? More like 'Our Unemployment Days', 'Our Unfortunate Days', 'Our Embarrassing Days'. Pick one, they're all relatable.
Gotta admit that this week's episodes were a bit more fun to watch but I still don't particularly like the leads' characters at all.
Ji Eun Oh is the perfect embodiment of 'Unrequited Love Final Boss'. At this point, I don't know whether to hate her or feel sorry for and empathize with her. I know and I understand that love is hard and rejection is even harder, but for the love of God, she needs to let go.
In my head, I thought the worst thing Lee Ji Hyeok could possibly say to reject her is "No, I don't like you" but boy was I wrong. My guy prepared a thesis of all the awful things one could say to reject someone and spat it all out in one breath. That was brutal but I'm not defending Ji Eun Oh though, she had it coming. She's known him for years and "supposedly" understands the nature of his sharp personality, but still asked for a second serving. Girl, WRAP. IT. UP.
I still firmly believe that they do NOT belong together, and no it still has nothing to do with their chemistry but their INCOMPATIBLE "current" personalities. Maybe they'll later change and become a bit more convenient for each other.
It didn't once cross my mind but when the girl at the café asked Park Seong Jae if he liked Lee Ji Hyeok. I was like, 'You know what that's actually not a bad idea!' LOL They seem to have a better understanding of each other's characters than anyone else.
I don't necessarily love nor hate Park Seong Jae's character so far but I think falling for the girl who has a HUGE crush on your childhood best friend was definitely the wrong move on his part. I know you can't help who you fall for but he needs to move on as well because Ji Eun Oh ain't getting over Lee Ji Hyeok anytime soon.
Oh, and I didn't like the way Lee Ji Hyeok was talking to Park Seong Jae at the tennis club. He seems to suffer from an inferiority complex or something because Park Seong Jae is, in my opinion, a really good friend and he was speaking facts but still Lee Ji Hyeok found a way to somehow get offended.
I don't know where the story is going but I have a good feeling it'll get better. The acting is nice as well. I just wish Ji Eun Oh (Jung In Sun) would stop puckering and pouting her lips while she's talking because Lee Ji Hyeok seems to be right about that, she's indeed acting like a child.

Is it good?
Where to read the English translation?
Thanks!

Oh.. sorry, I have no idea where they at. (’-’*)
