I am very happy to see Dylan in a wildly alive role! This gives him a chance to show everyone how he can handle character that is fun-filled, full of life. It feels like his shackles are broken and his spirit is set free in this drama, as most of his previous roles required serious stiff composure. I watched 4 epsiodes so far and I am pleasantly entertained.
I crossed 30 epsiodes successfully but unable to continue.π Nothing interesting is happening. Also, how was the evil empress forgiven for poisoning the Emperor and how come no one investigates how the Emperor died? A'wu takes bold steps only relying on luck and nothing else and it always works out unrealistically. Someone always gets stabbed or wounded trying to save her, when she is facing the enemy's sword. I am unable to find this character impressive. Also, for the amount of praises she gets from literally everyone everywhere, she is so dumb in reading people and their intentions. She cant see something that's right infront of her, something that the FL in the story of Yanxi palace can smell from the other side of the planet. Very frustrating how she simply forgives anyone and re-release demons into the world for them to cause greater and greater harm later.
I was surprised too about why the romance was unusually absent until I realized the reason at the ending. I can…
At the end they will reveal that the story was written when the author was some 14yrs old. A 14 yrs old boy's fantasy will be too platonic to imagine romance with their crush. Their imagination might slightly cross the line occasionally but they dont dwell in it. They might witness young adults around them engaging in such acts but they still want to just be around their crush and do things together thats all. Probably thats why they showed kisses between SML and SFL but not the main couple. I read some comments that the leads didn't get along well during the shooting time thats why no skinship, but I dont believe makers will compromise that way when all viewers watch with googly eyesπ waiting for such scenes. Think of your crush when you were 14yrs old( assuming you are 14+π ) and try to remember if you ever imagined intense romance with them.ππ and see if that made sense to do same in the story.
Currently on episode 24 and there's hardly any romance. After they both confessed, nothing's happened between…

I loved lots of things about this drama. I am not mentioning the great looking cast, graphics, etc, because they can be arranged by any production company that can scrape up a pile of cash. I want to mention the perfect emotional closure between characters. The most powerful regret about the loved ones generally is, 'I (or They) should have cared(done) more!'. That regret will keep stabbing the heart deeper if there is no chance of reversal. Miao Miao's regret about her dad's death, Fox demon's guilt of deceiving her lover, Goddess Mei's regret about leaving her sister etc. Liu Niang(Fei Demon)'s unsettling rage of several years dissipated when she realized her sister's last tear was for no other than her. Its beautiful because all she needed was to know her sister cared for her enough but didn't simply leave her when a stranger(in her view) came along. Some times all it takes is, to know that our loved ones really cared. That gives immense strength to get back up and face life. Hatred drives people for destruction and love propels them to become better persons. That was shown beautifully in this drama. Its such an enlightening thought to say that love is never complete when you dont love yourself! Hats off to the writer for coming up with that! Its a bonus delight to see the bamboo grandfather and grandson to see in modern life together in case we felt sad for them in the game story.π
After finishing this amazing drama, I am just wandering in the tv world to find something new thats good enough to watch to move on but no luck so far! I sincerely wish 'All The Best!'for the entire team of Love Game in Eastern Fantasy to make more dramas like this in future ,make lots of money and live a happy life!!
What a beautiful drama!! It touched all the right chords in the heart!! And such a beautiful ending! Its a lot cerebral if we think about it but we can take it as a simple one or as something that has depths of oceans in it. Whoever wrote this story has a combination of great brain and good heart! Because at the end, I felt like all characters got nice closure! Not only sad endings but great good endings can leave us with a deep mark too!
What do you call a complex when you don't want to start watching a drama because you already know its so good and fear it might end if you start watching?!ππ
For me, the name Esther is very perfect for her. Esther means star that shines for all her fans and radiates positivity…
Then thats more perfect than 'esthetic'π₯°....I have no idea of the meaning of her name like many of those like me out there...thanks for letting me know a good thing!π
Yess totaly love her personality she's very genuine nd give her best in her every show jer variety show chinese…
And by the way all these comments are coming from a totally straight femaleπ so the component of youthful lovesickness can be safely excludedπ and be taken as pure genuine compliments!

Love Between Fairy and the Devil was the first show of her that I watched. She looked like fresh divine peach to me and I was very impressed by her antics. I read those severe negative comments about her voice and I was like, ' She is supposed to be a quirky, happy lonely fairy who talks to the plants in her cottage, so she probably chose that voice to be different than routine human tone!' I then wondered why I felt like supporting an entirely unknown artistπ ...its almost same liveliness I am seeing in this show too, so I am happy to see her again like that!βΊοΈ
On a lighter note, in the early episodes, the way she holds her dress and runs around in hurry is so cute and funny at the same timeπ₯°π...its like her body language is in perfect sync with her chaotic thought process!π
Esther Yu should change her name to Esthetic Yu because she has this pleasantness about her, that instantly lightens up my mood! It may not count much coming from her devoted fanbase in China because they love her unconditionally but I am neither Chinese nor from any fan base. I wont even know the names of artists unless I specifically check the cast&credits and put an effort to remember them. Yet she earned so much of my admiration and thorough compliments!
What were the director and producers thinking when they made only 32 epsiodes of this really, really good series? They must be crazy to think that we will get enough of all the good-looking artists, smooth script, and amazing graphics with just 32 epsiodes!!
I couldn't think of the word 'rewind' when I was typingπ because all these days I am either fast forwarding or skipping episodes of series. Finally Esther Yu had to come along to make the rewind button feel alive!π
I just started this drama, and Esther Yu is soooo cute and bubbly!! I often found myself rewinding to watch her cute antics one more time! Any silly crazy hair decor can only make her look even more cute!DY suited perfectly for that ML role! So far, it's a nice fantasy story with fun moments.
Its a bonus delight to see the bamboo grandfather and grandson to see in modern life together in case we felt sad for them in the game story.π
compliments!
