Everything you said is what I wanted to say too but left out due to fear of too much length in lines.☺️. Yeah whats the deal with her behavior with prince Zhou? When Prince Liang tried to molest her, she even threatened to kill herself but when prince Zhou just hints at crossing limits, she does anything he asks her. She surely knows he is not the evil kind that will force himself on her without her consent, yet she simply obliges to everything . Even after he expressed his interest clearly, she still hangs out with him as if nothing happened, which will be a positive signal to any guy🤷‍♀️. She accompanies him in drinking when he was upset with his teacher's death. Fine, but when Chu Mo lost his family members she wont do same. Even when Zifang holds her hostage, she could have explained at least when Chu Mo finds out later. Chu Mo's brother is there in palace every day and she couldn't find a single opportunity to send a msg?🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
If there is a part 2 to the series, she will probably keep spending most of the time at prince Zhou's mansion😂not caring to explain anything to her heartbroken husband.🙄

I finished watching the entire series .The story has good flow with characters that keep developing and its not difficult to finish all episodes. Chu Mo's character develops in beautiful leaps and bounds and Xu Kai is a treat but when we think all that is for a stone cold frigid FL who doesnt even give a damn to clear misunderstandings, it feels stupid. Its felt very weird and unnatural how she avoids even slightest intimacy. She is shown to come up with great solutions for everything within moments but she couldn't find a way to send him a tiny message? Its annoying to watch her cry whenever she feels he is ignoring her or moving on. So she wants him to run after her for the rest of his life while she never attempts to attend to the giant wound she put in his heart? Wincing expressions now and then doesn't justify at all! It's an insult to Chu Mo's character if FL thinks that the only way to let him serve the country better is by breaking his heart. And how on earth could they not show the most crucial scene of their reunion in that cave?🤦‍♀️ But if we can forget about the hopeless main couple,the story keeps progressing and kept me watching to know what happens next.

Ooo there are more layers to this than I know of!😳 For non Chinese people like us, its all about watching something thats good! I will be like' Nothing better than a good Chinese show and coffee together!' while failing to understand the unfairness if any! We depend on subtitles and feel happy enough to understand what's going on in the story!

Yeah obviously! If it wasn't for the teacher's role, XW would have been one of the choices for Ninger in his mind!

Yeah dads wouldn't and shouldn't have time to understand what kind of kiss that was!😆 XW felt pity and affection toward Ninger and planted that impulsive kiss forgetting the surroundings, especially his assistant who was not aware of ruining his boss's chances with the future father-in-law!😂

Please tell more if you dont mind! I liked 'Scent of time'too but was not satisfied with the ending!

Yeah I agree! I just said that as Ninger's dad says in loving tone in the 1st epsiode how XW is all good for being emperor's fav...but this emperor seems paranoid and being his fav will only put XW in scorching hot spotlight!

I am puzzled at why Ninger's dad is not happy with XW...I mean he should thank all Gods and ancestors for this sizzling hot, intelligent, emperor's favorite, son-in-law!🤷‍♀️

We should not forget that Xue Shu has been waiting since 1st episode to marry the biological brother of this emperor. So its like she moved from one to seat to another in the same car lol!
