Yes .Not just Ao Rui Peng but FL Landy Li is also very good looking and the pair is very pleasant to the eyes!😍No frustrating misunderstandings.
Also, since all the crime investigation procedure is set in ancient timeline, there are lot of things that are new to watch unlike modern dramas where almost everything can be guessed most of the times.

I agree thats the writing is very decent. I feel very uncomfortable to watch when ML tortures FL or (vice versa)on suspicion in several dramas. I dont remember the name but the ML presses his thumb in the wound of this same FL in this drama, leaves ants on her, God that was horrifying! It is so stressfree and relaxing in this drama so far!

And hey, as a fan of Ao Rui Peng, I guess it's ok to complain about the following concerns after watching 5 episodes:
I agree the story is that type, but he was part of background crowd in several unnecessary scenes which is damaging to his aura. He cannot be in the spotlight all the time, but that million dollar face deserves an emphatic presence instead of too much dilution and ineffective camera angles.
Hope I will change my mind after watching all episodes!🤞

I just started this drama, watched 30min, put pause to comment here...
I sincerely apologize to Li Yi Tong and her fans because couple of years ago I commented negatively about her acting in the drama ' the court lady'... but in this drama I instantly found her beautiful with delightfully animated expressions! I am sure I will enjoy her acting in this drama irrespective of my liking or disliking of other aspects in it!

😓😓 The pain some people go through! Am at episode 27, and if the director didn't take enough care to sprinkle moments of happiness, fun, and hope in the right places, I would be very depressed watching that girl's journey!

Oh so they made better changes. Good to know.I saw some comments saying Bai Shuo says 'walk my own path' too many times but I didn't feel anything like that as she improves her strength in leaps and bounds as she holds the stone. I didn't say Fan Yue is weaker, I meant he was not in the limelight. Someone said noone is afraid of Fan Yue like the ML in other show but Fan Yue is not a 'supposed' villain unlike in that show. Everyone close to him know his real nature. Even Bai Shou quickly changed her opinion and even fell in love with him. Only evil people are afraid of him. Even in the end, Mo Li doesn't actively make an attack as he knows defeating purplemoon power is not simple.

Nope I already used ' not my cup of tea' shield.😉 I came here to ask for good recommendations here. I actually could clearly see she has such natural beauty that many women would kill for. I would fire the person who convinced her that she is not good enough as it is, but need all that paint.

By the way can someone suggest a good drama after this? I started a new drama with second chance rebirth concept but took a quick U turn due to the female lead. I was told to use ' not my cup of tea' for certain expression so here I say, ' Bullet proof thick make ups are not my cup of tea, struggling to find their real expressions underneath that papier mache like face is not my cup of coffee and unable to focus on the story because of all the above is definitely not my cup of water.

I felt that Fan Yue's role was slowly shifted to the periphery of limelight in the tv show and Bai Shuo was in the spotlight. Is it same in the novel too? He got this intimidating celestial aura with those purple eyes which I believe no one else pull off better. The script could have made him stay in the main focus until the end. His power was not displayed to its full potential.Hope there was no manipulation of the script to make it so.

I would have watched even if its not Ao Rui Peng because the story is so good but he is a super delightful eye candy bonus!😄
