Thank you for being honest on yourself..If it's not for you it's not for you and that's Okay..I have had shows that are raved up and I can't get past ep 1.. Lovely Runner and Queen of Tears being some of them..so no one can judge your opinion..For me Meet Yourself came with every trope that I like,slow burn, hometown,a backdrop that make me feel like am on holiday,slice of life,small village set-up..the whole package and Li Xian has never let me down .so I can't complain.

To this day in my mind,I live in FengYangyi Village,Dali-Yunnan Province..and you can't tell me otherwise

Not at all..the synopsis sounds like Meet Yourself but the overall look is completely different..Meet Yourself can be called a masterpiece.So far I haven't seen another cdrama that matches it.You can try these if you haven't:

Falling Before Fireworks (CD) my friend who is known to be one the toughest reviewers gave it a 9/10 which is highest she rates a drama

Love me Love My Voice(CD) It has a hometown feel and 100/10

Will Love in Spring(CD) has the same hometown setting and it was a good one 10/10

Breeze by The Sea(Taiwanese) and I loved it personally 10/10 in my books

Hometown Cha cha cha (KD) 10/10 recommend

Our Blues (KD) not watched it yet but the reviews are over the roof

I would add "Road Home" and Amidst Snowstorm of Love" but they are heavy on police trope and sport..they are bangers but they don't give you that serenity that comes with hometown

Funny how I just updated my review on this drama..
This is the one that made me look at the flight tickets for Macau..What if Elvis Han was added to the offer,I wouldn't mind going on the race track and just admiring sweaty men in tight coveralls..(Come back Nelly🫣)
Anyway I personally loved it..Maybe am biased with Han and Sunny Sun but I feel like the romance and career was good and though other stuff shouldn't have taken too much screen time..

I always go back and trim them..I mean really cut down until the review looks like a normal person wrote it.Its a struggle.

She is definitely a natural actress..that's what I meant..she matched Elvis energy to perfection..You should really check him out..I just wrote a review on Begin Again..I watched it few months ago but posted it on my old account and forgot to update it here

Just like in Dramaland,I start off promising myself that I will not bubble and somewhere between the middle and the end I find myself on paragraph eight without realising it..
Cai Wen is such a beauty..I liked her in FITYMI unfortunately I haven't found something she is in that I can watch..Am biased with Elvis Han..if there two natural actors in this Chinese drama..he is one of the two..He will surprise you,then you will watch him in Begin Again 2024 and he will nock your socks off...I have caught myself wondering if he was acting on a reality show

I started My Liberation Notes last year but its still seating in my "Continue to watch" I think I might pick it up soon

No,am not a fan of ML,I didnt even see who he is,I was looking at the 2nd ML.There must be a reason I didn't pick it up before,sometimes you just have to read the synopsis and think "Nash"

I love Zhang Zhehan to bits and am always trying to find his last modern dramas(we all know they are not many) but the fact that Park Min Young is dubbed it's a hard one.
It's one thing to dub a Chinese speaking actor/actress cos at least the lip syncing is accurate but a non Chinese speaker feels off,I wish they had even used a dub voice close to her normal voice at least.
It's like watching a Cdrama in English..criminal
Don't come for me..I aired my opinion..
I will try it again without the sound and see

Wow here we are..I was brought here by Lawless Lawyer,while I was "paper trailing" the side characters and one Choi Dae Hoon is the reason I opened "One dollar lawyer" I have seen it around my FYP but never thought of checking it out.

I doesn't smell Meet Yourself but the setting is beautiful nevertheless

It wouldn't be a kdrama no matter how good it is without rotten politics and undeserving sunbaes
