Also a nice way to serve visuals like wxy and cjk without making them the 2/3rd leads. By giving them their own plotline. Hopefully cdramas do this more.

For dramas with such premise, its takes both of the main leads to carry the show. The shyness, slow and awkwardness in romance, could become irritating/boring if not executed well. So it's a hit or a miss depending on the actors.
Kudos to leilei and maimai for nailing it and making us feel all the fluttering.
