I think this drama portrays how things used to be done in the olden days. All over the world, just like Lanua wrote (above), because of the authority men have over their households, they make themselves the law. Apart from the husbands and the fathers in the drama what about the behavior of the head of security guard they employed, you saw how he treated the women when he knew their was no men in the family protecting them. There are good and bad men. But, when the bad ones are more than the good ones, the society suffers. Even though men have less authority now than they used to have because of awareness and modernization. More women are losing interest in the institution of marriage even though they still believe in love. So, as society suffers in the old days, it is also suffering now. Just like an article, I read last week that says that a particular country in Asia produces fantasy couples and families, yet there are lots of singles and childless young people in the country.

I loved the beautiful moments: one, when the King of Chimei met his daughter on the platform and saw her mother in her eyes; the second, when Shen Li saw the revived Xinzhi in the flower field; and the third when Mu realized he was indeed in love with Ms. Jin. those were remarkably beautiful moments.
