Gong Tae Kyung, you sweetheart. You’re trying so hard. I have to say, although I adore both our leads what I want out of this drama more than anything right now is to see Tae Kyung happy. His mother’s a lovely lady but he’s spent so much of his life being treated like garbage, and he just deserves so much to be cared for, loved and accepted.
Loooved ep 9! The comedic moments really hit the spot. And so many satisfying scenes… Yeon Doo leading Tae Kyung away from the altar. The look on Se Jin’s face when Tae Kyung protected Yeon Doo from her mother. That tender moment at the hospital… So good.
Yoo In Na absolutely killing it in this drama! Ep 3 was a heartbreaker of an episode. That gaslighting, blame-shifting a-hole. I NEED to see him get his comeuppance!
Ah, the fragile ego of a misogynist creep. Doesn’t want to be with a woman, but doesn’t want anyone else to be with her either. Thinks he has the right to cheat, but feels wronged at the possibility of being cheated on himself. Doesn’t want to be a father, but doesn’t want the baby to be another man’s. Absolutely pathetic.
I absolutely adore Yeon Doo and Tae Kyung together! They’re seriously so cute. I love how quickly they got over their initial bad impression of each other and became friends who have each other’s backs. Can’t wait to see this relationship grow into romance.
Yes, Louis and Bok Shil moving in with Joong Won made my day! For now I'm really enjoying the petty jealousy that's going on, but I hope that in the future Louis and Joong Won can bury the hatchet. I would just love it if Joong Won could be like an older brother for Louis.
Yeah, I agree with that. I hate when amnesia is just unnecessarily thrown in there (Boys Before Flowers, Trot Lovers), but when the entire plot is based on it, then I'm okay with it. This is amnesia plot done right.
Well that's over. Episode 15 had a lot more of the old charm, and I was beginning to feel hopeful about the finale, but then they had to go and shoehorn some last minute noble idiocy in there and I got pissed off again. But still, if nothing else I'm glad they breathed some life back into my Hyun Min again at last. That scene with him and Ha Won at the bench when he gave her the shoes almost made me cry, because I'd missed my cheeky Hyun Min so. damn. much, and I'd missed his and Ha Won's friendship. I walk away from this show feeling like it was a missed opportunity, and that it didn't play to its strengths, which was the warm, fluffy charm that got me hooked in the beginning. I feel it spent too much time in the second half on pointless brooding instead of developing the relationship between the cousins. I wanted that bromance! And I wish I could have erased Hye Ji from this show entirely.
Still, I gave it a 7, which I think is reeaaaaaallly generous, but that's ALL for the first seven episodes which I loved so much, and that managed to cheer me up when I really needed it. I might revisit this show sometime, but if I do I'll probably only watch those episodes and make up my own ending.
I'm glad for the parts I enjoyed. I just think this show had potential to be more.
Yes! Episode 3 hit all the right buttons for me, and now I'm firmly hooked! Oh man, what an adrenaline rush! That car chase was so goooood. When he sent the car into a spin and started shooting... hot af. Need more!
A lot of other shows would probably have stuck with the "was that Louis? no that's impossible, he's dead" thing a lot longer before any character found out, and that can get old real fast. But now the bad guy found out, and it's only episode 4, and more characters are starting to suspect, and that makes it so much more interesting.
I freaking love this show, every episode I think I'm gonna die either from laughing or from the cuteness. Keep up the good work, show!

Lol granny, it’s gonna take more than a handful of salt to scare Yeon Doo away. She may have a sweet face, but she’s no pushover.
