Ji Hyun Woo was the shining star of this drama. What a brilliant performance. Absolutely fantastic. But then again, that's to be expected of him. He is such a amazing actor. Even when the material is lacking, you can always count on him to put in a great performance. I can't wait to see what he does next.

Uuuugh... Okay look, I don't want to be that kind of person who keeps hating on female characters, but i just can't with Hye Ji. I just... can't. And she REALLY ticked me off in episode 8. Because that was gross and manipulative. A fake drowning? Really? "I didn't warm up properly", yeah right. And "is it okay if I date Ji Woon, then?" Again: really? Manipulation of this sort is not healthy. She obviously doesn't care about Hyun Min's feelings, or Ji Woon's, or Ha Won's, she only cares about her own and getting what she wants. And the preview for episode 9 indicated that she's only getting worse. Are we expected to root for this ship? Because there's no way in hell I could, even if I weren't shipping Hyun Min with Ha Won. But oh yes, of course they're gonna end up together (and I'm gonna be sobbing in a corner with a glass of wine when that happens) because they had a cute thing together as kids, so by drama law they must be endgame, right? Hey writers, you know you can go against that trope right? Dream High did it, to great success, and you can too.
Maybe if Hye Ji was a more interesting character, I'd find it a little easier to tolerate her, but she's just so... meh. I'm tired of her and her wilting flower act.
*sigh* My apologies for this rant, I'm just really, really annoyed.

Kudos to Ahn Jae Hyun for making me laugh and making my heart hurt at the same time with my poor Hyun Min looking like a lost puppy. Brilliant.
Loved episode 7, lots of sweet moments. Ha Won pulling underhanded tricks like blackmail and kidnapping to get the boys to go on the trip was hilarious. Btw, Hyun Min is the loveliest Sleeping Beauty I ever saw in my life.
I kind of ship Seo Woo with Ja Young now. That's the best meet-cute I ever saw. Go, Uniform Couple!
I worry about episode 8, though. I suspect they're going to start setting up Hyun Min with Hye Ji for endgame now, and I DO! NOT! WANT! THAT! I can't stand that ship, it's terrible. Hyun Min has no chemistry with Hye Ji whatsoever, and Hye Ji's obsessive attitude makes me cringe. It's Hyun Min and Ha Won forever with me, even though I know I will never get what I want. I will go down with this ship!

Oh man... it always gets to me when the good guys do everything right and it still blows up in their faces, and always in the most painful way possible. When this drama's over I'm gonna need at least a week's recovery.

I HATE that Ha Won had to be rescued like some damsel in distress. She didn't even try to free herself, she just struggled weakly a bit. That's so out of character it's frankly insulting. But otherwise episode 6 was much better than episode 5 which was rather slow. I loved seeing all the boys rush over to be with Ha Won for her graduation.
I worry about my poor Hyun Min's heart, though. I can't help it, I still ship those two like crazy even though I know I'm just setting myself up for disappointment. (I'm just gonna have to make do with that dream-kiss, don't I.) But the preview for next episode seemed promising for some HaMin cuteness, so definitely looking forward to that.

Kang Hyun Min, I love you so...

Ahn Jae Hyun is doing such a great job with this character, his acting has gotten better by quite a bit. Even if I've always enjoyed his past performances very much, I can admit there was room for improvement. And look at him now. Any scene with him in it just crackles with energy. I knew you had it in you! Keep up the good work!

this is so poorly written but I love it. Why am I drama trash?
Been asking myself the same thing. There are lots of quality dramas out there right now, but I'm way more invested in this mess than any of them.

The recapper at dramabeans made some really well written comments about all the characters in the show in the recap for episode 3. I thought I'd share a couple of quotes about Ji Woon and Hyun Min, because this perfectly sums up how I feel about the characters. Quoting recapper chickachunga at dramabeans (dot com):
(About Ji Woon:) "I know Ji-woon’s the first male lead, but in terms of likability, he’s dead last; he seems to be experiencing a very delayed bout of puberty with “go away” printed across his forehead and ingrained in his speech as he leaves behind a trail of angst everywhere he goes. Protecting Ha-won from the saw sticking out from the toolbox and entering the shallow depths of the tiny stream to grab her precious bouquet didn’t really tip him over to swoonworthy level yet."
(About Hyun Min:) "Hyun-min continues to amuse me the most with his ridiculous lines (“Wanna have some caviar and ramen with me?) and antics, brandishing scissors and holding Ha-won’s uniform hostage. There’s a reason why we fall for the bad boy, and Hyun-min in particular is amusing because he’s so unabashedly full of himself and delusional, but not mean-spirited. It’s interesting to see him simultaneously struggle to understand Ha-won and feel immediately attracted to her because she’s so different. Also, Ahn Jae-hyun is clearly enjoying himself with this role, which makes for good viewing."

I love that. Exactly how I feel.

Btw, I really hope we get to see more of that girl Ha Won is friends with and that lady who works in Sky House. They seemed fun, and I like knowing that there are women in Ha Won's life that she has positive relationships with, when her stepmother and stepsister were so awful to her. I was hoping Hye Ji might be one of them, but doesn't look too likely following ep 4, does it... Sigh.

I'm liking this drama. I miss this kind of cheesy cliché type drama, it brings me back my first Asian drama love…
Agreed, I've been loving the OST too! Some great songs there.

I so did not need getting second male lead-syndrome but I got it. Major. Dammit! I just love Ha Won with Hyun Min, they're so much fun together.
Btw, you could totally do a drinking game to this drama: every time one of the guys grab Ha Won in slow motion and that swoon-music starts, take a shot.

Already rewatched ep 1-2, might even rewatch them again while I wait for the next ones. I'm thinking they need to lighten up Ji Woon a little with some comedic moments, because as it is I think the character is a bit too sad and broody. Jung Il Woo is at his best when he has some comedy to work with, and it's not going to work that well if the male lead acts out an angsty drama and all the other characters act out a rom-com. At the moment I'm well on my way to developing second male lead-syndrome. Between Jung Il Woo and Ahn Jae Hyun there's really no question as to who the better actor is, but Ahn Jae Hyun still manages to steal every scene he's in here. His character is a jerk, but there's a playfulness there as well that makes him so much fun to watch. And I think he has great chemistry with Park So Dam.
Anyway... this drama is just what I need right now. Can't wait for the next episodes!

Hell yes!! I was really drawn in by the first two eps. It has the perfect tone for a good rom-com, but more dramatic scenes are also working really well. The scene in ep 2 with the father was seriously gut-wrenching. At the end of the series I certainly hope the heroine has found the loving family she so well deserves. And speaking of said heroine: wow. How awesome is she? She's definitely a fighter, and I love her already. Ahn Jae Hyun's character is surprisingly fun, being such a bratty jackass. He made me laugh out loud several times. And Jung Il Woo... The leather jacket, the skinny jeans and the motorcycle... The Scheduler-look is back! It makes me so happy.

All that much needed cuteness from last week's angst, and then... those phone calls from the killer were seriously creepy. This drama is such a rollercoaster and I love every twist and turn.

Jfc it's been a while since I loved a drama this much. It hits all the right spots, it's exactly my kind of thing. Kind of kicking myself for not waiting until it's finished so I could marathon it because the waiting is killing me. How am I gonna last until next week?

Not bad at all! First two eps shows great promise of something addictively enjoyable. I can't wait until we go more deeply into the back stories. But what I'm really looking forward to is the cons. I love characters who use their smarts to give arrogant villains their comeuppance. This drama has a good pick of actors for the characters, particularly with Seo In Guk. He's such a charismatic and charming actor, so to have him as a smooth-talking con artist is spot-on casting.

At least Keitai Kareshi had a certain silly charm that was a lot of fun, but this one... No. The script, the style, the acting, there was nothing about it I liked. Well, maybe the song during the closing credits, but that was about it.

Hilariously ridiculous, with a surprisingly touching ending. I have to admit, I rather enjoyed this one.
