Finally watched this. I've had a fun time this year reading the book, watching the 1980 miniseries, and then watching this one. As with all adaptations, there were things I liked about both. The 1980 version was more faithful to the book imo, but I didn't particularly mind where the 2024 version diverged. Since it got renewed for a second and third season, I think the changes it made will suit it in the future. Anyway, it's a great series that I definitely recommend.

I might check this out. I like that it’s only 15 min per episode like asadora. That will make it easy to finish.

Why would they make 15 minute episodes? I just don't get it.
It’s a new time slot NHK has made to target young people who prefer short form content.

I started this drama today. I don't typically watch fantasy series but I've committed to watching LizQuen's dramas…
At ep 57 and Ganda being mostly MIA is starting to seriously hinder the show. I might have to consider dropping it if she doesn’t return soon.

I might subscribe to iWantTFC to watch this, but I’ll watch Princess and I first. We'll see, I might not have the time or money lol 😂

Person Enrique Gil
Based on the ratings I give his works, I’m starting to wonder if I’m actually fan of his lol. That aside, I still love him 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Enrique was trying his best in this role, but the movie just lacks a certain punch…

I agree with you for the most part. I actually really enjoyed QoT, but I think that was mostly the experience of watching it as it was airing. I don’t think I would’ve liked it as much as I did if I had binged it. For me, I only really noticed the writing fall apart in the last two episodes.

Just started this asadora and I can already tell I’m going to love it. It reminds me of my first asadora Hanako to Anne.

Such a good actor. I need to watch more of his dramas.

I hope this gets subs eventually since the premise sounds promising.

Debating on whether to watch this or Manpuku next 🤔 Hmmm… we’ll see.
Damn I should’ve watch this one first. It’s better than the previous two asadoras I watched (Dandan, Manpuku).

Title Mai Agare!
Since it's an asadora with each episode being a fifteen minutes long, the show is really only 1 day and 7 hours…
Just updating you~ Subs for Mai Agare are currently on a website called dramaotaku.com. The subber seems reliable so I think it'll be completely subbed within this year or early next year. You need an account to access dramaotaku and registration is around the beginning of every month.

there are alot of comments about season 3... is this season left on a bad cliffhanger or can i just watch this…
Just finished season 2. It’s very good, but it left a couple of unanswered questions. I wouldn’t call the ending a cliffhanger, but they’re obviously aiming for a season 3.

Same? I doubt it, the Japanese had much less control in the old show and essentially only agreed for the remake…
I’m not going to argue with you. I was explaining the reasoning behind my original comment. Both series are still American-made no matter how many Japanese people worked on them. MDL allows these productions on here if they have certain amount Japanese, Korean, etc. people working on them.
