Not my kind of drama but I watched for Hana-chan and ended up liking it more than expected. Emotions are portrayed in a very nuanced way and I appreciate that it didn’t end in some cliched way.

Watched the first three weeks so far and I really liked the childhood portion~ It's not often that I wish it could go on for longer! I'm looking forward to grown up Mai following her dreams. I'll be watch this in short spurts because it'll probably take a while for it to be fully subbed.

I didn't watch this drama when it was airing and probably won't watch it now. That being said, I think it's fucked up how people on mdl use it as an insult to shut people down. People have different taste, first of all. And, the score someone gave My Demon shouldn't have any relevance to a score (or opinion) they gave another drama.

Finally watched this. I've had a fun time this year reading the book, watching the 1980 miniseries, and then watching this one. As with all adaptations, there were things I liked about both. The 1980 version was more faithful to the book imo, but I didn't particularly mind where the 2024 version diverged. Since it got renewed for a second and third season, I think the changes it made will suit it in the future. Anyway, it's a great series that I definitely recommend.

I agree with you for the most part. I actually really enjoyed QoT, but I think that was mostly the experience of watching it as it was airing. I don’t think I would’ve liked it as much as I did if I had binged it. For me, I only really noticed the writing fall apart in the last two episodes.
