Last two eps weren’t that bad… but I really dislike Yu Ra. This drama already had two great villains. They didn’t need to add Yu Ra as the “boss” villain. And they couldn’t even make her interesting.

First movie was better.

Not usually my type of story, but the trailer was fun so I’ll check it out.

I’m not sure that I like the direction the story is going in, but I’ll reserve my judgment until it’s over…

Just read about why he was "cancelled" and it has to be the stupidest reason I've seen a Chinese celebrity be cancelled. He's lucky to be able to make a comeback at least.

According to Wikipedia, he was apparently cancelled after some "controversy" with Japanese shrine photos. I guess since it wasn't something like tax evasion he's being allowed to make a comeback with his music career.

First episode was probably my fave. Young Mok-ha and Ki-ho did a really great job. For the most part, I enjoyed all of the main characters performances though they were all frustrating at least once if not more lol. I also wasn't a fan of the whole who's Ki-ho mystery (it was very obvious to me) and I didn't really like the focus on the music industry. The drama was still good though since I love Park Eun-bin.

This was the second k-drama I ever finished. This brings a lot of nostalgia. I remember watching it every morning on Drama Fever while I was getting ready for school.

Edward VIII and and his wife Wallis Simpson were both nazi sympathizers. Even if it was ‘true love’ or whatever, their lives weren’t exactly a Cinderella story either as his family never really accepted her.

Just finished this last season. Highly recommend this drama. I’m a huge fan of the original Cold Case and will definitely be rewatching this version in the future along with the old one.

I hope we get a fourth season but this season left on a good note so I’ll be fine if we don’t.

Yeah, it might be cancelled. I found this article that says Liza Sobreano and Enrique Gil turned down the project (https://www.lionheartv.net/2023/03/liza-soberano-enrique-gil-its-okay-not-to-be-okay/).

The drama waded too far into lakorn territory. I wish it would’ve stayed a romcom the whole way through. I liked the ending but I wish they hadn’t shoved the whole resolution into the last episode.

Many people in China take the same loophole as Zheng Shuang by going overseas for a surrogate. This is frowned upon by the government but they can’t do anything about it.

I think what got her labeled as having 'poor conduct' are the allegations of her abandoning the children. And then the tax fraud is really what did her in. She has blacklisted and can’t work in the entertainment industry in any capacity,

I think you’re misunderstanding. Zheng Shuang wasn’t a surrogate, she got a surrogate (2 actually).

As for reasons, most surrogates are woman from low income backgrounds. So the main reason is money, but some women also just enjoy being pregnant.

Since she was cancelled so were all of her projects. The one she got in trouble for, A Chinese Ghost Story, I believe had finished filming. They might be able to release it if they replace her face, but that'll be pretty expensive.

That's too bad. I really wanted to see Peach in this. Well, I like Luke at least so I'll still check it out.

Presumably she should have the money to pay it back since she was getting paid so much for her work. Unless she wasted it all. Apparently her ex husband was the one who revealed her pay for A Chinese Ghost Story, which wasn't what she reported on her taxes. So yeah it's probably real but she did offend one person, her ex lol.

Agree with everything you said. My argument is that the people, not the government should determine if an actor can still work. It’s weird that the gov can say this person isn’t a good role model or whatever, it should be the society as a whole making that call.
