Just finished this last season. Highly recommend this drama. I’m a huge fan of the original Cold Case and will definitely be rewatching this version in the future along with the old one.

I hope we get a fourth season but this season left on a good note so I’ll be fine if we don’t.

The drama waded too far into lakorn territory. I wish it would’ve stayed a romcom the whole way through. I liked the ending but I wish they hadn’t shoved the whole resolution into the last episode.

Many people in China take the same loophole as Zheng Shuang by going overseas for a surrogate. This is frowned upon by the government but they can’t do anything about it.

I think what got her labeled as having 'poor conduct' are the allegations of her abandoning the children. And then the tax fraud is really what did her in. She has blacklisted and can’t work in the entertainment industry in any capacity,

I think you’re misunderstanding. Zheng Shuang wasn’t a surrogate, she got a surrogate (2 actually).

As for reasons, most surrogates are woman from low income backgrounds. So the main reason is money, but some women also just enjoy being pregnant.

Since she was cancelled so were all of her projects. The one she got in trouble for, A Chinese Ghost Story, I believe had finished filming. They might be able to release it if they replace her face, but that'll be pretty expensive.

Presumably she should have the money to pay it back since she was getting paid so much for her work. Unless she wasted it all. Apparently her ex husband was the one who revealed her pay for A Chinese Ghost Story, which wasn't what she reported on her taxes. So yeah it's probably real but she did offend one person, her ex lol.

Agree with everything you said. My argument is that the people, not the government should determine if an actor can still work. It’s weird that the gov can say this person isn’t a good role model or whatever, it should be the society as a whole making that call.

Watched the trailer again. I’m really looking forward to this one! Looks like it has three couples so triple the romance :) Can’t wait!!

There are two different specials for Hana Yori Dango Final. One with the Makino family exploring Hong Kong and Macau released on DVD. If someone finds that one, will you please share it with me? The other special was shown on TV the day before the movie premiered. That one is just a digest episode, recapping the series with a short performance at the end. I've actually downloaded that one and won't mind sharing through Google Drive if anyone wants to see it.

Coming back here because someone replied to a comment I made a year ago and then blocked me cause they didn't like what I said back :P I still don't really care if Zheng Shuang stays blacklisted as she seems like a bad person, but I will highlight something that's strange with the Chinese entertainment industry.

Pushing aside the child abuse allegations as they are after all allegations. Zheng Shuang was blacklisted why? 1) Surrogacy. 2) Tax evasion. She used a surrogate overseas, which is a loophole generally frowned on (surrogacy is not allowed in China). Tax evasion is illegal, but why does this result in her being blacklisted? Why does the Chinese government have the power to label her an "actor with poor conduct" and blacklist her forever? Now, don't get me wrong, tax evasion should come with some consequences, take American actor Wesley Snipes as an example. But should it result in your career being over?

I have a right to my opinion. What’s the point of commenting on such an old comment anyway? And it doesn’t matter whether it’s ‘unconfirmed’, her career is over.

The worst part of C-dramas is that they literally take years to come out T_T
