I am glad she pickes Win, am i the only one them together? lol
I liked it too, though was almost 50/50 (because both are soo good and love her so much) but killing him in the end was sooo stupid, we watched most of the show how she can't decide, can't say she loves Win as much as she loved Wee or even more and says it only after his death... I know sometimes death of main character, or leaving main character alone is good for the story, but this was not the case... here it was just bad ending... FL was crying almost in every scene (and it was toooo much), she loved one man so much and he dies, she almost dies in sorrow... she finely falls in love with other man and in the end he dies too... it just stupid.... second half was so drugged and even become soap opera, when first half was sooo good, fast and rarely free from cliches and soap opera elements
I love this drama too. I don't know why people have so much issues with it, maybe because nobody in it is purely…
exactly! I guess most people here prefer simple, predictable, fluffy romances and soap operas, or don't watch romances at all and are in different side of asian dramas. because when romance drama is really good, deep and complex, most time it gets low ratings...
shame that great mature drama like this has so low rating, not many Kdramas have raw and deep emotions, realism and character driven plot, production value and even soundtracks soo great.
not sure about it ))) I love him, his great actor and watched it because of him, but I think most of the time…
agree with you and thank you too, would talk more but now I'm soo on another very different drama (six flying dragons), though good/real love triangles where both have real chance and end is unpredictable is one of my favorite "genre", so if you remember anything please recommend, if you like it too, as (real) triangle lover, I already have seen some truly good examples and I could recommend them too <3

I watched is one time (not long time ago) and though he is one of my favorite actors, I shipped other guy more, they kind of had more ill fated fate, but of course ML is so tragic, I pitied him so much :( plus other guy was kind of passive, didn't do much actions (I remembered Reply 1988 - one guy loved but didn't acted and other who acted get the girl and I was happy about it, shipped him from the beginning)

Same thought. ML and FL hate each other so much it’s not the bickering kind, it’s hurt thrown at each other…
yes, this hate was really no return. and I didn't understand ML's father trying so hard to push her into his life again.... it's so unrealistic and insane, Ok maybe he feels need to help her because of her father but why on earth was only option to make them be together 24/7? how can a man do this to his son, when he knows how much she hurt him and how much he hates her...
actually it was common for some emperors to be not literate . one of the strongest mughal emperors was also not…
I've just finished with binge watch and in last part I understand casting wasn't mistake... Yes they exaggerated Korean King (especially first half) but after all JCW wasn't mistake, I mean viewer should slowly love him with his weakness and sadness, because he is main lead after all and he is her choice/love... so that part was done greatly, even though he isn't our usual hero or antihero (badass charismatic lead) with great acting and looks of JCW writers made viewer slowly fall in love with him like Ki slowly fall for him... in the end I cried ... This drama has issues and mistakes but main things are really good and emotional after all )))
actually it was common for some emperors to be not literate . one of the strongest mughal emperors was also not…
even princes, Emperor's son is stupid and another so clever, even though for him education is forbidden he secretly reads and is so smart, because his father is king of Korea.... these many primitive things make bad to really good and catchy drama. I just had expectation of 6 flying dragons and mr. sunshine level, but still its good drama. Btw JCW's acting was really great, he makes viewer feel empathy to the character which is written as maybe less likable character ever, there was so many "faces" of Emperor from childish and always smiling to delusional drunk and of course man deeply in love - JCW showed everything amazingly. he is badass K2 but I saw his so good acting first time.
actually it was common for some emperors to be not literate . one of the strongest mughal emperors was also not…
maybe, but in whole world more common was not literate poor people like FL, so she, who started as slave, then street bandit is more educated and teaches emperor to read... and there are so many exaggerations and "mistakes" like this, I'm on 43th episode now and looks like now they will make Emperor crazy alcoholic an cruel to justify power strugle of KI, but why does it need justification? in time and please like this just being badass and wanting power isn't normal for main character? why they need to make Emperor every shade of bad, to make Korean king and Ki more good? they could be badass characters without soo unrealistic exaggerations
drama is really good but it's too much, I understand she is main hero but it should be realistic... general, king…
I'm on ep 23th and there was more shock, looks like pregnancy period is different for FL, because she gave birth same time as should concubine who became pregnant 1-2 days after Emperor's wedding, which means very soon after FL came to palace. OMG there were mistakes but this is very huge mistake... :/ shame for quality drama like this... :((( and the whole story of baby, it became soap opera :((
P.S. I understand it's korean drama and Korean story so they made Korean king brave and cool, and Emperor weak and stupid, but there mast be some balance too, Emperor (raised as crown prince) can't even read? c'mon people.... Every brave-smart thing what happens in drama is made by Korean king, he is behind every important event in empire (not only Korea... and remember he isn't even king anymore)... Overall if there is something cool (saving FL, country or even Emperor) everything is on him and every female in drama develops crush on Korean king... C'mon people be just little realistic...
But ok, if they wanted that way, super superman Korean king at list casting was not right, because you can't have JCW as unlikable character and someone not so attractive as "most handsome guy".... I'm not saying JCW can't be overshadowed (great example of it: "Warrior Baek Dong Soo") but other guy should be more charismatic.
drama is really good but it's too much, I understand she is main hero but it should be realistic... general, king and emperor all love her, emperor runs after her, begs her and simple servant acts like queen, is rude with him and ice cold... plus she isn't that beautiful to be honest, she is cool and strong badass girl but the way she as servant acts with emperor (who runs after servant girl) is too unrealistic, details like that can make even so great drama annoying... When we all understand in reality she would do anything to make emperor love her so much (and she really succeeded, I mean in real history), because in that big palace there were hundreds of beautiful smart girls all trying to make emperor love them.
Kim Yeong Cheol as Lee Seong Gye AGAIN ))) interesting )))
I love My Country's Bang Won and 6 Flying dragon's Bang Won! I love Joo Sang Wook! I would love to see more realistic/historically accurate Bang Won too (after previous amazing characters). so this drama looks like perfect form me
