Don't get your hopes up, the french stays bad throughout the show. Inn really tried his best but well... It still sounds the way it does.
Respect that he tried learning a new language just for his role though- he even said it was the hardest part about this drama.

And then it's just 'I don't want my friends to find out we're dating', 'I don't want my parents to find out we're dating', 'I don't want... The dog my aunt is sitting for two weeks find out we're dating' like guys... Please that's been done so many times and is the same plot element over and over again.

After many months I have to come back and make a comment about how much I love this drama. They really paid all attention to portraying deafness accurately but gave no fucks about how gangs usually operate. Love that, hilarious!

Was it a little silly drama? Yeah, but that's one of its strengths. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a slight enemies to lovers with one part immediately falling hard and fast.

Yes! I'm always like 'wait shouldn't the plot be them starting to date? What more could possibly happen?'.
Not that all bls who have the main couple together early on are bad! But the journey of them getting together always feels the most fun to me

The slow burn is slow burning. I'm such a sucker for a well written slow love story and this is such a good example of that.
And they're still not really dating. Almost, but more than anything they're just being honest and open and letting themselves feel. Can't wait for the next episode.

It also seems to get more dangerous and juicier, can't wait for that either. Gimme some death threats and blood!

That's was also wild. "He is a bad guy don't interact with him" is really different from "he raped my brother".

Also as soon as he had the SLIGHTEST inkling that they MAY get romantically involved, why wouldn't Mud immediately tell Mild?! We know why... Because plot and the plot would be over but within the story it makes zero sense.
I don't think Knight did it either, but MUD thinks so. So it's just... Disgusting.

What a fucking wild 360° turn from literally ever other plot point so far. I dearly hope it's not true, but if it wasn't I don't get why Knight wouldn't freak out more.

Imagine you're being accused of raping your own boyfriend and you just... Sit there and don't really do anything? Wouldn't you scream and get angry if you genuinely didn't do it? So confusing.

I lost it when he just sat on the sofa and looked vaguely concerned. Not even being part of the conversation at all. Nothing! (well except saying take care of my brother)
It was so funny to me.

The fear I internally had about episode 9 having the same refusal plot point AGAIN with Rati. And the relief I felt when he said 'I didn't say that' OH MY GOD!
I'm really looking forward to the next episode, this is gonna be wild, political and scandalous I can already tell.

I didn't mean it as a generalisation! I wasn't talking about "doctors" as a whole, I was talking about Thap as a character that is a doctor (the way he dresses, uses accessorieses, the car he drives, the fact that he drove it to a secluded area etc.). He's bougie as hell and very well off so it's a satirical cherry on top that he ALSO uses a Dyson.
Of course not all doctors use the most expensive stuff or are even well off enough to do that. It's an old stereotype.

Ooh yes! A Dyson hairdryer is around 500-700€.
It's bougie, way to overpriced but also amazing. It's an established 'prestige symbol' and stereotypically every woman that has ever tried one wants one (me included).

So I find it funny as hell that Thap has one. He probably had to fight his sister for so she didn't steal it!

I find it so hilarious that Thap has a Dyson as a hairdryer. It's a minor detail but it fits so well within the overachieving, throwing money around doctor character.
When I first saw it I immediately burst out laughing. They could have given him ANY hairdryer, but no a fucking Dyson ^^

I've had to say goodbye to my secret wish of an "accurate" love story very early on. Like, I'm not French myself but I cannot imagine Inn wouldn't feel strongly about the start of WW1, especially after 1871.
And like a few other small things but hey, they also never claimed to be super accurate so I'll accept it as a loose tale of international love! And for that it's very good.
(Also the Revolution wasn't that long ago either, so I can't imagine Rati would simply accept to be talked down to. Not the French :p)

I absolutely believe that. Even after 6 years of French is school my pronunciation isn't perfect. And then he directly gets compared to people who speak French perfectly in the series- he really can't win ^^

I love hearing Inn speak French. It's so, so bad but he tries so hard you can feel it through the screen. He is giving his all.

If you're looking for a sweet, love focused, rather slow paced, 'read between the lines and stares' historical drama set loosely in the 1910s (+ a few WW1 mentions) I would definitely recommend it.

If you're looking for a very accurate political commentary historical drama with romance added in then I wouldn't recommend it.

This gives me so many 2Moons vibes and I can't even really explain why.
It's mild (HAH) in the plot development territory, but the makeup and colouring editing department are killing it.

Yeah, obviously it's the first world war and there are no direct laws to protect them. But there aren't any laws anywhere in the world that would do that. In any country.

I'm not saying they could live openly and honestly OBVIOUSLY they can't. But they would still be generally safer to not get beaten to death in a big european city like Paris which has a long history of being a 'safe haven' for lgbtq people since the 19th century.

And in 1915 no one had any idea or would ever have thought that we would get another world war so quickly. Hell people weren't even realising the first one would turn into a 'world war'. People genuinely thought they would go out a few weeks to 'destroy the enemies' and then come back. The world hadn't seen anything like that ever.
