Is this good? Should I wait for it to complete?
If you're looking for a sweet, love focused, rather slow paced, 'read between the lines and stares' historical drama set loosely in the 1910s (+ a few WW1 mentions) I would definitely recommend it.

If you're looking for a very accurate political commentary historical drama with romance added in then I wouldn't recommend it.

This gives me so many 2Moons vibes and I can't even really explain why.
It's mild (HAH) in the plot development territory, but the makeup and colouring editing department are killing it.

I really don't think so. This story take place in 1915. So in France, it's the WWI. Gay or not, any men wasn't…
Yeah, obviously it's the first world war and there are no direct laws to protect them. But there aren't any laws anywhere in the world that would do that. In any country.

I'm not saying they could live openly and honestly OBVIOUSLY they can't. But they would still be generally safer to not get beaten to death in a big european city like Paris which has a long history of being a 'safe haven' for lgbtq people since the 19th century.

And in 1915 no one had any idea or would ever have thought that we would get another world war so quickly. Hell people weren't even realising the first one would turn into a 'world war'. People genuinely thought they would go out a few weeks to 'destroy the enemies' and then come back. The world hadn't seen anything like that ever.

Honestly Rati and Thee running off to Paris to be a gay couple would kind of make sense historically speaking (not that they'll actually do that lol).

Paris especially was one of the bigger lgbt hotspots in Europe since the 19th century and even though they weren't recognised by law it was still a 'safer' place to be at. It would definitely an interesting story point to explore.

What kink? 🤔
A praise kink. The way he not only once but twice changed his entire demeanour and only focused on the word 'Angel' from Mek was pretty telling ^^.
Im merely joking though, I highly doubt they actually do any sort of 'praise kink exploration', but I had to say it anyway because it was too funny

If it makes you feel better, they did eventually close the fridge... off-screen in between episodes 7 and 8.
At least that! I think I'd have a heart attack if they slept on the couch and it was still open in episode 8 ^^

I can't believe they didn't close the fridge in episode 7. Yes, I KNOW IT'S FOR THE LIGHTING! But the entire make out session I just repeated 'please close the fridge guys come on!'

Open fridges and running taps in the background of scenes got me STRESSED always omg

It's so camp and cringy I'm obsessed. The actors take everything so overly serious and I think that makes it enjoyable for me.
It seems clear that a lot of plot elements are overly exaggerated and played up, paired with that not-so-great cgi I thought I wouldn't like this in the beginning. But because the characters are not acting as if they're taking everything as a joke, it works. The cgi looks bad, but the reaction to the cgi fits.

Sometimes things are too ridiculous for "comedy" and you cannot take anything serious or care about anyone because the characters aren't acting like real people or reacting like real people. Even though the story is supposed to be "in the real world". So nothing works. But because everyone in the universe acts the same it pulls you into the story rather than being put off by it. Well... A bit of a rant, but I had to let it out!

I will never get over what the fuck that last episode was.
Time skips need to be legally banned istg it's unrealistic and infuriating to watch every single time.

The way the mom is still treated as if she did anything to earn any kind of forgiveness? Makes me so irrationally angry.
"I knew you were sad the entire time" AND WHAT DID YOU DO ABOUT IT? Nothing, nothing at all.

She never gave any fucks about her sons except Yotha, but we're supposed to feel as if everything is fine now? Let's normalise not forgiving our parents for trauma they've never apologised for.

I can't say what it is, but the vibe of this whole drama is so... Weird and off, but I also can't look away.
The script is so weird too. It's like nothing is happening at all, but also we're kind of moving forward?

Just curious. I am in the last episode and Kluer uses long beans in his recipe. Where did he get the long beans?…
Pretty sure he sneaked them in. He made it purposely with long beans because he was sure he wouldn't be able to win no matter what. They're in a relationship so... What's the point of trying? He even says so in his monologue in the last episode.
So then he goes out of his way to make sure to spite Oab personally as much as possible. Since he KNOWS they're in a relationship there is technically nothing preventing them from using the green beans. Plawan isn't allergic to them after all, Khaosuay is.

That's what he is saying with this dish, 'I know you're dating, I'm being played like a pawn, as if I ever had a chance to win. You will give it to Plawan anyways since he is your boyfriend now'.

Right now, I am on the first episode and I am not understanding the point of restaurant timing on its front door.…
A lot of restaurants to that actually. It's to differentiate the week and the weekend. So it's not necessarily related to the actual opening time and more to do with the workdays vs weekend days. To make sure people immediately see they're also open on Saturday.

That's exactly it. I think I will wait for the first comments and reviews for the first episode before I'll start to watch.

Who knows maybe it's a surprise for everyone and it's genuinely good ^^

Knowing mame I was pretty surprised there was no obvious sexual related trauma (yet).
The trailer looked promising, but I just don't trust mame at all, so I'm conflicted already.

A very inoffensive, very mild but sweet show.
Not a whole lot of plot, but perfect for an evening where you need something fluffy to watch. The characters have enough chemistry to pull the episodes off.

Gurl don't disrespect Unforgotten🌙like that, this series was way worse then that. How dare u 🤣
I apologise! I apologise 🙏!

Unforgotten was the immediate thing that came into my mind when I watched them dance around each other for the third time.
In my defense: the way Kim and Kamol danced around each other while also... Dating? Was SO annoying, it filled me with the same rage I felt here. Just fuck and get it over with! But after the fourth time... Ugh. Or do it like KinnPorsche. Do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, any plot at all. Please! But no, not even a little bit 😭

Right?! Like we KNEW what drama was going to happen and the overreactions from everyone involved. But... You still had to watch! Just to see 😂

I feel like this was truly Unforgotten Nights little sister. Just... So trashy, so weirdly overlight with so many weird angles.
The same thing over and over again, but we were sat every week like an audience to a scheduled car crash! You just had to feel with the overdramatic characters in a way and wanted to find out if he actually did something after the fifth time. And of course the comments every week. Always good.

Would I ever rewatch it? No. Did I still enjoy my stay? Oh yes.
