There was no love triangle, FL and ML Only liked each other, SML also didn't liked FL he just wanted to be in…
This was my first modern C-drama. I don’t remember it completely, but there was a love triangle, with the SML trying to impress the FL and the male lead getting jealous. In one scene, they were about to fight. I think I liked the drama more in the earlier episodes when they were portrayed as siblings and childhood friends.
Again, I felt the whole love story part was unnecessary. The story was better when they were strangers caring for each other and becoming like family.
I always love reading your reviews. Despite its many flaws, I still gave this drama an 8.5 rating, mostly because I never expected great writing , it’s just a comedy, after all. To be honest, I really enjoyed TJC's comedic timing, but I hated how his character became so obsessed with the FL, to the point where he would leave his adoptive father and his state behind just to be with her. I wonder if the FL would do the same under similar circumstances. And the royal maids... they were just so annoying. Honestly, I completely lost interest after the princess's identity was revealed ,but until then, I was enjoying it for what it was a light, fun watch.
Tan Jian Ci is such a brilliant actor. I’ve seen him in many dramas, but he often plays supporting roles. One of his best performances was as Xiang Liu, I loved how nuanced and subtle his acting was. Now, he’s doing a great job as Yuan Mo in Go East. I really hope he gets to play a lead role in a big male-centric costume drama.
I want him to act in a male-centric costume drama.
They don't need to be popular, but they should have good acting skills. I'm tired of watching romance dramas because the plots are repetitive, and C-ENT lacks good scripts. Non-romance dramas usually take a different route with unique concepts. Whether it's a modern or costume drama, I want the story to center around CZY

Yes.. He is love brained..He is very jealous about her past.. But he is very intelligent... If he is not love-brained,…
I agree with you; I also don't enjoy dramas that focus too much on romance. If this is how his character is designed, I doubt the directors and screenwriters will change anything. Nowadays, it seems to be a trend to make ML's overly obsessed with love.
Allen is killing it in this role.😭😍
