What Wei Shao has gone through is really heartbreaking. He watched three generations of his family and his people die right in front of him that kind of trauma doesn’t just go away. So yeah, it makes total sense that he can’t easily trust the Qiao family again, let alone marry someone from that family.
Yes, Wei Shao is definitely aggressive, but Xiao Qiao is no saint either, she's manipulative in her own way and he knows that. He never wanted this marriage in the first place, she just made sure he had no other choice. I still don’t know how he’s going to fall in love with her or accept her in the future episodes. What happened in today’s episode, him suspecting her was really important. I don’t blame him at all. He should have doubts, and he deserves to get answers. They seriously need to get to know each other better if they’re ever going to build any kind of trust.
That said, I loved how the FL handled him today... she really knocked some sense into him.
If he had just fallen in love with her at first sight and forgotten everything he’s been through, I’d be really disappointed. That would’ve made his pain feel meaningless.
Why don’t we get more dramas like this? Enemies to lovers is one of the best genres! The last time I felt this excited about a drama was Love of Nirvana. Just five episodes in, and I’m already hooked, I need all the episodes right now! 😘
I really hope the pacing and intensity stay consistent throughout the drama. Honestly, this year has been amazing for C-dramas.
WYX messed up big time... This drama is flopping really hard in china, heat index and views are going down since…
I just looked up his other works, LBFAD and LGIEF were actually pretty successful in China, so what went wrong here? 🤦♀️ fsmm3 is the one I’ve been waiting for the most, and now I’m genuinely worried the criticism will carry over to that too. Poor Cheng Yi… I’ll still watch it for him, though.

After fsmm1, I already lost faith in the whole thing. And even with the reshoots, I don’t think the universe or the plot is going to change drastically. 😭 If there’s anyone to blame, it’s the director and the scriptwriter.
I'm honestly starting to worry about fsmm3. fsmm2 is better than fsmm1, but it still didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The story just isn't complex enough to keep me fully engaged, and most of the characters feel pretty flat. The biggest letdown, though, is the lack of chemistry between the leads, it just didn’t click. I’m not setting high expectations for fsmm3 at this point. I just really miss seeing Cheng Yi in a xianxia role, so I’ll be watching it for him, nothing else 😭
Okay, nothing particularly spectacular, but still better than Red Moon Pact. Even when I skipped a lot of scenes, I could still easily follow the plot.
At this point, I honestly don’t want Allen Ren to take on any more romance dramas. It’s just too heartbreaking. Why does he keep choosing roles with these kinds of tragic endings? I cried so much during his last drama, and with this one, I didn’t even feel anything, just pure disappointment. I just want to see him in a drama with a happy ending for once.
Except for the ending, I loved everything about this drama. There was a constant sense of hopelessness in Xuan Ye's eyes throughout, like he never truly believed they had a future together. It felt as if I had already predicted how it would end, yet I kept clinging to the hope that things might turn out differently, that maybe we’d get a happy ending after all. I even wished Ban Xia would jump into the river at the very last moment to be with him. But… sigh, it’s an Allen drama after all.
good question. am I trippen or is the father a bad guy? is the puppet brother about to show up as the 'groom-to-be?…
He’s way too overprotective, Something is definitely off about him. I wouldn't be surprised if there’s a plot twist coming. This drama is so unpredictable. 🫠

We still don't know whether the puppet brother is the groom-to-be, but Ban Xia's father clearly thinks Xuan Ye isn't good enough for her and is trying to separate them. Instead of having an honest conversation with his daughter, he's creating misunderstandings between them.
What's wrong with Ban Xia's parents? I can't stand them! 😡 Why can't they let her choose who she wants to marry? They don't even have the courage to tell her directly that they don't like him. Instead, they send her away and say all that awful stuff to him behind her back. The love story had just started, and there's already a misunderstanding! It's so frustrating!
This drama is amazing! As always, Allen Ren is doing a fantastic job, he has wonderful chemistry with all his co-stars. It’s also such a joy to see Song Zuer on screen again!
