I know that hong ye is helpless and had good intentions behind his actions. But raising your son, not evrn checking…
I’ve loved every character Cheng Yi has played so far, but Fu Gui is the one I truly admire. He has an incredibly understanding nature ... that’s his greatest strength. What I really respect is how he holds no hatred toward his father. He confronts and questions him when necessary, yet still chooses to stay because he understands his father’s struggles.
One of my favorite scenes is when, even after enduring 10k sword piercings, he still respectfully kowtows to his father before leaving. I honestly didn’t see that coming ...
Just like Hong Ye, Fu Gui wants to protect everyone around him, but he doesn’t make foolish sacrifices. If he chooses to sacrifice something, he ensures it brings multiple benefits. He lost his sword meridian, yes, but in doing so he saved Rumu, his father’s position, and gained freedom for himself. Now, Hong Ye is finally reflecting on his own actions ... he’s really lucky to have a son like Fu Gui.
tbh, FSMM was my least anticipated Cheng Yi drama… but as always, Cheng Yi never fails to surprise me
Are you fkn kidding me right now?! Quan Jing Ting is still alive and living his best life playing the victim?…
Those alliance ministers are the real villains here ... they’re the ones holding the true power. They supported a traitor just so they could control Hong Ye. And now, after everything Fu Gui has done, his power has become a threat to them. So, they banished him to make it easier to control Hong Ye.
Quan Jing Ting is simply playing the victim card now, that he’s possessed by the black fox. And of course, those alliance ministers will definitely keep him alive .... they’ll use him against Hong Ye when the time comes.
They’re not stupid at all… it’s just pure politics.
Cheng Yi is extra handsome in this drama .... those rich, elegant costumes just make him look even more divine! 🤩The way he looks at Qing Tong literally melts my heart… his gaze is so soft and full of emotion. ahhh, that shy little smile of his 😭😭.
I absolutely adore how both leads keep supporting each other from the very start. Cheng Yi need to do MORE romance dramas... modern or costume, I don’t care… I just need one!😭💖💖
I’m not usually a fan of romance dramas, but I really want Cheng Yi to do more sweet, heartwarming ones ....no misunderstandings, no toxic relationships, no dominating each other. Just those gentle exchanges, supportive moments, and soft glances between the leads.
I just finished all five episodes in one go. Honestly, this was my least anticipated Cheng Yi drama, but it completely surprised me! I love the pacing, the OST, and Cheng Yi’s phenomenal acting. LYT is absolutely adorable too. It’s already a 10/10 for me!
One thing i have to disagree with you here. the czy dramas i've watched were all modern dramas. After watching…
i agree with you.. about the script... its deep ... and lot of plot... but i didn't like any of the character... about CZY acting... it was a decent attempt, but not exceptional. His portrayal lacked the grace and composure that a royal prince should have. Most of the time, he came across as a hatred-filled, childish brat. Maybe that’s how the character was written, but since the character itself didn’t impress me, it naturally reflected in his performance as well. Anyway, that’s just my opinion.
Maybe you and I just watched different dramas, because CZY’s acting is excellent. The way he carries himself,…
TBH, the story had the potential to be great. Maybe it’s the directing but somewhere along the way, everything fell apart. I actually enjoyed the first few episodes. The setup was promising, the atmosphere was engaging. but after that, every single character just became frustrating to watch.
This is just my opinion, but here’s what didn’t work for me.
They tortured each other in such a childish way. I’m not against showing conflict or revenge if it has a solid reason behind it .... but here, it just felt pointless. The male lead knew she had lost her memories, yet he still tied her up and tormented her cruelly. Then, not long after, she did the same to him. What was even the point of setting them up as enemies if it was going to be resolved that fast? She had every right to kill him on the battlefield, and any real warrior would’ve understood the rules of war and tried to negotiate properly. Instead, everything felt rushed and shallow.
Xia Jing Shi our main villain.. All talk, no action. I’m honestly so tired of the obsessive, unhealthy villains that C-drama writers keep recycling. This drama alone had about eight or nine antagonists .... nearly everyone was a villain or a morally grey character. The “best friend” who betrayed the ML? His reason was laughable. It almost felt like the writer was forcing betrayals just for the sake of drama. None of these characters had real emotional depth or believable motivations.
As I mentioned before, I hated how the ML completely lacked ambition. Yes, he stood by his principles, but when the throne desperately needed him, he abandoned his duty and identity. Tell me ... in what world is his sister more qualified to rule the kingdom? I genuinely expected his character to grow, but instead, he acted like a stubborn brat driven only by hatred toward his father.
And our the female lead ... her arrogance was unbearable. She kept pointing a knife at the ML for no reason and acted aggressive Even her mannerisms .... like sitting carelessly and chewing with her mouth open .... were off-putting.
Being a female general doesn’t mean she has to act like a man. She could’ve been strong and graceful .... strength and femininity can coexist.
I finally finished watching this...well, technically finished, because watched the second half at 2x speed. The story completely lost focus, and honestly, I just couldn’t care anymore. But that ending? one of the dumbest I’ve ever seen in a historical drama.
Feng Sui Ge making his sister the empress? What was he even thinking? The man’s got zero brain cells left. She abandoned her own father, stole the imperial seal, and let the enemy escape. She’s nothing but a self-centered, delusional “I can fix him” type. Did she even care about her brother? Her country? Herself? The moment she thought of marching into the enemy kingdom, it was game over. She absolutely did not deserve that throne. Big no. Huge no.
She wanted to marry the enemy king just because he gave her a sip of water .... what’s next, she’ll elope with the next man who offers her wine? She’s not an empress, she’s a walking disaster.
And the worst part? Every single character in this drama had their own personal agenda, but not one of them actually cared who was truly fit to rule. I honestly blame the male lead too .... he had zero ambition. Completely brainwashed by his mother into believing being emperor is some sort of curse. No one , absolutely no one .... cared about the people, the kingdom, or its future.
There was zero character development from start to finish. He stayed the same childish, lost soul filled with personal grudges. Ambitionless, clueless, and frustrating to watch.
Every character annoyed me to no end. Their motives made no sense, the subplots went nowhere, and the entire story was a mess. C-drama writers seriously need to stop adding unnecessary angst for the sake of drama. It’s not emotional .... it’s exhausting.
Ugh, I just have to rant about this because it’s driving me crazy! I’m on episode 25, and honestly, I don’t even know who’s right or wrong anymore. Sui Ge’s mother, acts all “free-spirited” and refuses to bow down.... fine, I get that she wants her freedom.....but she’s still the Empress! The one person everyone is supposed to bow to! Instead of accepting her reality, she plants this rebellious idea in Sui Ge’s mind that being Emperor is a bad thing. It’s all her idealistic nonsense about freedom , but she’s completely ignoring the fact that her son was born into duty.
Sui Ge, got everything an emperor should have ability, intelligence, values, leadership.... what not.. But he refuses the throne out of pure hatred for his father. Like seriously, what kind of reasoning is that? The Emperor was right.... does he even have a choice? Sui Ge is the only one fit to rule, yet he’s letting his emotions ruin everything. And don’t even get me started on his sister. She abandoned her country and her brother..... all for a man who once gave her water. WATER! And then Sui Ge suggests her, of all people, to take the throne? Has he lost his mind?
I’m so annoyed right now. Everyone’s acting like they’re victims of fate while completely ignoring the bigger picture. Sui Ge's pride and resentment make him his own worst enemy.
I really wish the best for Cheng Yi. I hope that he won't renew his contract with Huanrui and that he can establish…
Totally agree… the hate towards him is just insane 😭. How can people hate such a kind-hearted soul? Karma will definitely hit back one day. I honestly hope Cheng Yi stays away from social media....his entire world is acting, and that’s what truly matters. I don’t care about popularity or stardom, I’ll support him with all my heart no matter what.
He’s had bad teams, weak productions, clueless directors… nothing new. Half the time he’s the one giving ideas to these directors and understanding the character better than they do. But in the end, all he can do is act....he has no say in the editing or final cut. Even in MLC, I heard he gave so many suggestions to director. When has he ever had a proper team behind him? It’s always Cheng Yi himself who carries the whole drama on his shoulders.
As for the new drama, I’m happy they’re keeping it low-key, but at the same time I can’t help feeling anxious. Why is there still no official announcement?😭😭😭
I just cannot move on from FSH 😭… I desperately need another old-school wuxia drama with Cheng Yi.....no transmigration, no AI nonsense 🙅♀️… just pure wuxia! Give me brotherhood like MLC, a touch of sweet romance, and mind-blowing fight choreography! Cheng Yi was born for wuxia...he’s literally the Wuxia God 🔥🔥🔥.
i see you gave it 8.5....I was contemplating between 8.5 & 9 but decided to give it a 9.0 but 8.5 would be…
If they had stuck to the original source material, this drama could’ve been outstanding. The script itself is actually pretty solid, and there was really no need to include that whole AI system or label it as “modern martial arts.” Honestly, the AI element pulled me out of the story multiple times. I even came up with tons of theories just to make sense of it, but in the end, I decided to believe that everything was happening inside Ming Ming’s head while he was in a coma ..... like a dream. Since he was adapting the novel he read before the accident, it makes more sense that he imagined it all in that state. I also felt there were quite a few dubbing issues in this drama. Cheng Yi’s voice is absolutely beautiful when he’s speaking normally, but during shouting scenes or intense emotional moments, it sometimes sounds a bit off. That’s one area I think he could work on improving. As for his acting .... no words. Flawless. He truly poured his heart and soul into this role, and you can see the hard work in every single scene. Honestly, he single-handedly carried the entire drama, and that’s why I still gave it a 10/10. 🔥👏👏
I’m smiling and crying at the same time right now. With MLC’s ending, I felt convinced and at peace, but here……
Anyway, this drama was excellent. In the end, everything came together and made sense. The writers really tried to condense such a vast story into just 40 episodes, and somehow it didn’t feel rushed at all. The fight choreography was outstanding, the core message was delivered beautifully, and the entire journey was both powerful and unforgettable.
And Cheng Yi’s acting? As usual, a flawless 10/10. Perfect. No words left to say.. he just owns every scene. 🔥🔥🔥
I’m smiling and crying at the same time right now. With MLC’s ending, I felt convinced and at peace, but here… I just can’t stop my tears. I don’t even fully know why..... it just hurts so much, even though the ending makes sense. If you look past the whole AI and transmigration angle, it feels like this entire story actually exists inside Ming Ming’s head while he’s in a coma. Just before that, he was working on the adaptation of the novel, and in his real life, he had a brother-like senior who betrayed both him and the country, he lost his mother and family, and he had friends similar to the ones in this wuxia world. So when you think about it, everything connects....Ming Ming and Qiu Shui are essentially the same person, because all of this is happening in Ming Ming’s mind. I have so many theories swirling around 😅. Crazy Yan’s death, though....my heart broke. The way he stood tall, facing the sunshine .... it symbolized that he lived life to the fullest with no regrets. Still, it hurts that Qiu Shui never officially became his disciple, though I’m glad they ended up as true friends. Now I desperately need a light-hearted Cheng Yi drama, but of course, it looks like all his upcoming projects are tragedies again. CY, why must you do this to us? 😭😭😭😭
I’m on episode 37, and honestly, I just can’t understand it. Why did General Wu have to go back, fully knowing it was a risk to both himself and the country? And why did Li Chen Zhou have to take the poison? Why on earth do they all blindly obey the emperor?
Let me be real.....being loyal to a foolish, undeserving emperor is nothing less than harming your own country. How can that be called patriotism? It makes zero sense. every drama is same .....why is it that not once do we ever get to see a truly wise emperor? It’s always the same, the people around him sacrifice everything, shed blood, and suffer for the nation, while the emperor himself destroys his own house, kills his loyal subjects, and even eliminates his own family just because he feels threatened.
These emperors put their throne and authority above everything. How is that noble? It’s pathetic. Loyalty to incompetence is not virtue..... it’s destruction.
Now, Hong Ye is finally reflecting on his own actions ... he’s really lucky to have a son like Fu Gui.

For me too, Fu Gui is number one. 😘😘😘💖
Fu Gui has done, his power has become a threat to them. So, they banished him to make it easier to control Hong Ye.
