If they show XY thoughts when she was in coma being cared by XL, I think you will be clarified on this. She loves XL and would choose him, is XL that pushed her away to Jing. She also said in the novel she wasn't in love with Jing until Xuan asked her to get close to him and then she fell in love, like, real love not only crush.

They are a team, but CX is hurting because he does not want to use XY but he needs it, he is hurting by the incompatibility of his desires and wanting to have both.

No, it is not that he can't trust XY, it is because of his loyalty to GongGong, the novel states it clearly when XY asks him if she was the one that saved him in the past, how he would be.

I not talking about any of this. I’m talking about when Jing was married to Feng Yi, if was not for XY stepping in, he would not have got out of it. He is too submissive, he is smart, but he does not use it to get the position of the leader of clan quickly and get rid of those who tried to harm him. If it was not for XY, he would fall in the same situation she found him in the beginning of the story. In the end, it was even XL who saved his life again, Jing was a good companion for her in the end, because she wanted to live freely and he could give her that, and that is it, is not a deep love story, that are barely moments of the two in the novel, all the romantic and magical moments was XY with XL. And that is already being shown in the drama and people are complaining that Jing does not have good scenes with her, that is because he does not have good scenes with her in the novel either, the only good scene is one kiss he gave her that was a little bit hot and thats is it.

I read the novel and I still find him weak. If was not for XY they would not be together and Jing would be dead. And if was not for XL, XY would have died not once but twice.

In addition, is said in the novel that his personality as FFB is probably his true personality, as he can live freely without the worries of the guerrilla general XL.

Someone understood why XY felt the sadness of XL when she was talking with Xuan? I know she feels his bug, but I wonder why XL was feeling sad, was he secretly listening to them and was scared that she would be in danger next day? That is why he went to the party and follow them later? I don’t remember that part in the novel or XL feeling scared was added to the drama, I didn’t understand why would he feel scared that time and why the author wants us to know it by making XY say that.

Her first love Xuan, but she grows distant from him (from loving him) as he gets near to the throne. She then gets a like on XL and Jing, but XL was impossible and Jing could give her the kind of life she wanted. In the end, she is with Jing, missing XL, and goes travel in the sea like she wanted to do with XL. So, in my interpretation, and I said mine because this is something really out of interpretation from the novel, people can have different interpretations. Her true love was XL, he was the one that made her most happy and through him she discovered her love for the sea and how she wanted to live. Jing was the love of her life, he was the one that could be a life companion and let her live how she wanted. Xuan was her first love, she cannot hurt him even after all he did, in the end she forgave everything he did, and she kept loving him, but it became a brotherly love.

She does not love Jing as soon she saves him. She has a crush on him, it is during their meetings after she is woman that she really falls in love. That is something she admitted herself in the novel.
