For me doesn't make any difference, the problem for me is that he was a complete liar, when she came up seeking help he ghosted her, then she went desperate and post the picture and his fans harassed her until she took her own life. I don't care when it started, what he did in the end is enough for me to consider him a shit person that does not deserve to earn money with his public fake image.

After rewatching today episodes, I'm thinking about the flashbacks that showed when the ML was jealous, he thought about when Jizhao said she would not marry in her lifetime, what exactly was his line of thinking here? He thought she didn't want to marry anymore because of CXQ? Omg, if it is that, I just hope she would clear things up with him, but we probably won't ever have that scene like in the novel because writer decided to end communication and clear things with kisses.

He had a choice, if he accepted to be a minor official in a small town, he could marry anyone, but he wanted to be the first on the imperial exam, he wanted attention, reputation, he is narcissistic and likes the attention he got by being his nephew, that is why he accepted the arranged marriage. But since he is such narcissistic person, he couldn't accept that she moved on and forgot about him, disgusting person!

I think the only thing that really bothers me in this drama is CYY and now the couple bedroom, it doesn't look like a bedroom, it even has a pool/lake in the middle, their bed looks like an ancient bed in a modern room, it breaks my immersion.

Exactly! I was so into his character, I wish he had a full story.

Pity, I was hoping for a sequel with the 9th brother as ML
