its not like they both are unaware what they are getting themselves into, SML is not even close to innocent because he knew she had a boyfriend also took advantage of her vulnerability, SFL on the otuer hand yes she's so far is the most non toxic character but she's entirely aware about the situation of ML-FL and is a 28 year old, so she how messy it is and still wants to be part of it.

My theory is that FL is gonna realise SML isn't the one for her, while ML will fake date SFL to help FL move on without so called guilt, but eventually start developing feelings for her. But will only realise this in much later in the episodes, considering his attachment issues with Mi Do.

ALSO, I feel like they're trying to show the difference between physical and emotional cheating. However, I wouldn't exactly put Nam Gyung's part in the emotional cheating category yet because, for me, it's borderline. He hasn't really done anything, nor have we had any monologues showing him internally struggling with his feelings.

But then again, maybe the writer is trying to portray how physical attraction towards your partner can fade over time, but when someone emotionally cheats, they might never truly come back to their partner whereas the one who physically did would still crave emotional initimacy.

PS: In no universe should the main leads end up together. That would be IMPOSSIBLE to imagine after the irreparable damage caused by the words FL said in Ep 8.
