If you see, Du Shik is getting replaced by Sung Hyun by the Gongjin villagers so it was his obvious reaction. The thing is he keeps working so that he can divert his mind but now that Sung Hyun is helping out he is feeling the loneliness again slowly, so yeah I understand his reaction.
I just wanna say this is a "mature love triangle" compared to other dramas were I have seen love triangle.
Both guys don't hate/dislike each other they still are really good friends. Yes they are jealous but only when Hye Jin is around, that's it. You can feel the bromance, they care about each and help too.
