My goodness so many dramas, so little time...I think I'll wait until half the episodes have aired. Not sure how…
These ´some´ people, e.g. me, are the ones who also read several books in the same period of time. Sometimes I take notes, esp. when a storyline is complicated. Usually I watch 1 or 2 new ones, and 1 or 2 old ones I didn´t see before. Right now I-m watching 2 K-dramas, and 1 C drama, reading a classical Chinese novel, and a couple of non-fiction books. The ones that bore me within 5 episodes, I drop, the ones that bore me much later, I keep on hold, to maybe finish later. I watch dramas at home. Books I read while traveling by train, and waiting for train, doctor etc,. However, you are absolutely right, too many dramas to follow everything. I once read that each year hundreds of new dramas (China, Taiwan, HK) come out. Not sure if that´s correct.
He doesn´t seem that bad, however he is a horrible jerk for his wife. looking down on her ...
This may contain a spolier. Í´ve seen 4 eps so far, and I just have to wait how this characterr develops beyond weakness, and imo jerk-like behaviour towards Mudan. However, I like the actor Miles Wei. I saw a comment below by someone who read the novel, that this character is (and stays) a bad character in the novel.
Well, this movie is different for sure. If you read the title and think oh yes..lots of action, sword fights,…
Apparently Keltic and traditional Scottish music are appreciated in China. Eg, the Scottish song Auld Lang Syne gained popularity in China. And, you may even find Chinese music that has a similar feel to it.
This film is based on a short story. Although it has fighting scenes it definitely is not a wuxia film. Although obviously the film is based on a story, and it has personal development and events, it has a slow pace. The cinimatography is very, very beautiful. Some call this film minimalist. However, I feel it is better to describe the film as a reflection of the notion of Nothingness or Emptiness, if not both. It may refer to daoist, buddhist or even western filosofical concepts. Although I have no deep knowledge of these concepts the feeling of the film attracts me. Apparently, reading the comments, this film is not for everyone. Still, I would advice to watch the film, try it, and experience the spiritual intentions and the beauty. It is not for nothing it got awards.
